Cornwall paintings | my current exhibition in Porthleven

Hi everyone
I have been very busy recently preparing the paintings for my exhibition at The Customs House Gallery in Porthleven. I have eight oil paintings in the exhibition which I have framed myself in my studio at Krowji, Redruth.
They range from a large metre square oil on canvas of Porthleven harbour, down to a tiny oil on board study of a sunset at Gwithian.
The exhibition focuses on work from the local area in here Cornwall and also features two other artists - Maggie O'Brien and Ben Taffinder.

Don't know why but your paintings make me feel so emotional. The way you capture the nuance of the scenes, I feel I'm a little girl again back in Cornwall for our annual family holidays. It is a magnificent talent of an Artist to be able to capture the very essence and atmosphere of something that is constantly in motion and infinitely changing. Well done. You have all the makings of a celebrity artist - all you need is the beret and smock. And more seriously - your colour palette demonstrates the huge advantage of painting outside: you just can't recreate colour entirely from the imagination, or - worse - from coloured photographs. Mind you, if anyone could..... that'd be you.

Beautiful paintings but really awful frames. White does not compliment any work of art.. which is why the museum walls are never white.
Those paintings deserve gold leaf!

Thank you. I’m afraid a lot of our galleries prefer white or neutral frames. The paintings can always be reframed by the customer 👍🏻

If that is true, you should, in my opinion go against their preferences. That is decorator crap. Your work is beautiful and you should stand up for what is beautiful. Can you ever imagine a white frame in the Louvre or the Met?
One of my galleries is going for digital art. After 5 exhibits, nothing has sold.. Art felonies.
