    Let's all pitch in and get this dude a conduit bender

  • @nickb8618
    @nickb8618 Před rokem +1

    Better to bend the 90s as the connectors are not strong enough and crack. I use 3/4” conduit then at all joints sleeve 12” piece of 1” conduit over the joint and through bolt it. I can lean on mine no problem. Looks good though. I used rancho safari gillie boat blind material and a little raffia.

      I’ve had no issues so far with that blind build going on the 4th season with it, I don’t have a way to bend them correctly

    Look into kee lite fittings. Little pricey but well worth it.

    Go to the next size up in conduit slip it over the joint .. weld it up or bolt it. It will strengthen the joint better than that coupler

    I've watched your video probably 10 times! Lol between yours and a couple of others, I think I have an idea for the perfect blind... it's gonna require welding, and quite a bit of work, but think it's gonna be something spectacular. I'm gonna make it my first ever video, and definitely gonna be shouting you out! Thanks for the awesome videos! Could you please link the mold and mildew camo netting and "grass" please? How's that Plastic grass hold paint?

    • @BlackBeltWaterfowl
      @BlackBeltWaterfowl  Před 2 lety +1

      It holds paint well, I got the netting from Mack’s prairie wings, it’s called camo systems netting “flyway” is the pattern name. And the grass came from there as well, it’s called raffia grass

    With those couplings and the screws coming loose buy some red locktite and try that

    • @BlackBeltWaterfowl
      @BlackBeltWaterfowl  Před 2 lety

      The way I did it in the video has held up with no issues now going on 4th season coming up

    Hey man what is the hinge that you used for the canopy and where did you get it?.. ive looked everywhere and can't figure it out.

    • @BlackBeltWaterfowl
      @BlackBeltWaterfowl  Před rokem +1

      Haha you won’t find that in a store, I made it from a piece of square tubing. I took a metabo and cut one side off of it so it would only have 3 sides and be able to be attached, and work like that.

    Hey man. Enjoying the channel. What did you use to weigh down the bottom edge of the tarps? I assume you just cut small holes to run he zip ties in and around the frame rails?

    Hows tht “cast” material holding up?

    • @BlackBeltWaterfowl
      @BlackBeltWaterfowl  Před 5 lety +1

      Awesome!! Best decision I made on those corners.. I’ve been hunting for years and building boat blinds every year because I would destroy the blind through the season.. this past year was the first time I was able to take it off to be used again!! It’s held up like a tank! I’m pretty ruff on my equipment..

    Hey, what's that black part called on the X and where can I buy one?

    • @BlackBeltWaterfowl
      @BlackBeltWaterfowl  Před 2 lety +1

      The black part? You talking about the bracket that top frame is bolted to?

    • @BlackBeltWaterfowl
      @BlackBeltWaterfowl  Před 2 lety +1

      If your talking about the bracket, I built it myself out on 2 pieces of angle aluminum

    • @clark1878
      @clark1878 Před 2 lety +1

      @@BlackBeltWaterfowl mmm maybe, the overhead piece that makes it swing. that part

    • @BlackBeltWaterfowl
      @BlackBeltWaterfowl  Před 2 lety +1

      Yea that’s the bracket I built to attach the flip top, it’s made from angle aluminum. One for each side. Drilled and bolted to the frame, and drilled with a bolt through it for the flip top
