Damn I wish the Baton 3 Pro had a tailswitch! That beam looks perfect for EDC!
thank you so much for this!
Thanks, that was exactly the video I needed for deciding which one to pick on this Amazon Olight discount sales.
Awesome! Happy to help
What did you run with, deciding the same
I decided to pick the Baton 3 Pro, way cheaper to be almost the same at lumens, throw and battery (my most valued specs).
But I have to be honest, I didn't buy it at the end cause the discount sales vanished too early for me! hahaha
For the next sales, I will decide between the Baton 3 Pro and that new Olight Warrior Mini 3.
I own the I3T, the Warrior 3S and the I5T plus from Olight. I can tell you, the king of the mix beams from Olight is the Warrior 3S for now. So take it if you want the best mix beam.
In my case, I want a secondary mix beam from Olight, so the battle is Warrior Mini 3 VS Baton 3 Pro, as I've told you before.
So, making it easy:
Warrior Mini 2 VS Baton 3 Pro -> Baton WINS
Warrior Mini 3 VS Baton 3 Pro -> We'll see...
Lol that’s how I found this video, lookin for baton pro max vs warrior mini 2, the warrior 2 having that carabiner clip is a big plus for me, can use it like a switch back holder
@@enriccreus6024if you see this soon enough olight au has a sale on now
I'm pretty sure the spring in the bottom is for charging only on the baton and might have something to do with wm2 tail switch, but these torches work without the body, try taking the batteries out again then just push the battery into the head and hold it in place and both the wm2 and baton will still power up
You had me at FlashLight Crazy. Where have you been all my life!
Hahaha welcome aboard my friend. Thanks for watching
Good review. Ive found the Warrior mini 2 is not a good EDC light, first day it went in my pocket the tail switch filled up with metal filings, engineers curse i guess. would be good if Olight supplied it with a silicone boot to go over the tail switch so it could be used but protect it from the metal issue, as well as make it a full ring not 3 peaks so it will hold its self horizontal. plus better define the tail switch on its half press, other than that its ok
Ahhh great comment mate. Thank you. I love hearing about different employment areas and how lights hold up
Would the 3500 and 3200 batteries be interchangeable between the WM2 and the Baton 3 pro . Thanks for the vid .
I never tried that but I would give an educated guess as a YES. Most Olight batteries are interchangeable
For sure, for throw then the Mini 2 but for flood, the B3 Pro. Olight has its place and its niche. Some have worked great for me over the years and some have their issues. Still, their warranty will take care of them.
Yeah man. Everything has issues, but it is how they deal with it that counts
@@flashlightcrazy I agree and Olight has been good at resolving issues, but that being said, having have had them and seeing what others have written up about them, they seem to be on the higher side with issues. Even with my Mini 2, the original could be on a charger a long time and never turn green and as soon as I disconnected it and then connected it again, it would turn green. Then the light in the center of the side button would be green and after being on for several minutes it would go amber even though it was just fully charged. Then being off for a few minutes and turned on again it would go green. So I returned it, got a new replacement....and got the same exact issues again. No, it's not a showstopper and I kept it but for crying out loud Olight, get your act together.
On the baton 3 pro, the pocket clip forces the body of the light crooked when installing the battery, then rubs the whole time its being threaded on or off. Bad design.
Yes! I was afraid of cross threading...
Thanks not a problem…. Never had issues with this…. The light is beast!
5:53 the tint on the WM2 is so terrible. You forgott to mention that your Baton Pro is in neutral white which is nicer for edc. Also its able to run regular 18650 you just cant charge them inside the flashlight. The WM2 cant be run by regular 18650ies.
Ahhh thanks man. I hate forgetting to mention things. Appreciate the reminder
Have you tested a different battery in it and it worked because my s2r baton 2 couldn't do that
@@godforever27 Actually I have tested it on a s2r baton 2 and it worked. Therefor I assumed it will also on a Baton 3 (which I dont have) but in another comment section someone wrote that it didnt worked on his Baton 3. Strange.
I just tried on my baton 3 pro doesn’t work with any other batteries 😢.
Perfect review
GET BOTH
That's what I'm doing. Got the Baton3Pro and looking at the Warrior Mini 2 on ebay, The base stats are very similar, but I don't been to splash out for some 10K lumen thing (even thougth I want to) to cover an imaginary base, I just want another useful light in this category.
I think the worrior mini 2 looks like less lumen than the Batton. And also the light is greenish.
If I compare it with my Baton S2R II, the Baton is even than brighter.
THANKS TO ANOTHER CZcamsR I WAS ABLE TO TURN THE PROXIMITY SENSOR OFF
Awesome
@@flashlightcrazy the proximity sensor on the mini Warrior 2
@@THEPLANETEARTH you mean the double tap to disengage it?
@@flashlightcrazy no not on the mini warrior 2 hold the button as your screwing the battery back on once a light comes on tap fast until the light turns off than screw it on snd nosensor until you take out the battery again
@@THEPLANETEARTH Oh wow that it awesome
ones tactical one is not. tactical lights arent edc lights. regular people dont need tactical lights
I have to slightly disagree with you there. I am a regular person and I have found great use in a tactical light on several occasions. I agree that tactical lights are most utilised for people who serve as law enforcement or military, search and rescue or S.E.S. But for those of us who have ever used a tactical light in a sticky situation, we would all agree that there is definitely a place for tactical lights for the "regular" person
In alot of cases "tactical" is just a marketing term to attract certain demographics, especially when it comes to flashlights... For most people a tactical light is just as useful as any other light.
@@awesomeaxel1 Absolutely agree. It is a very clever marketing tool, however, I have used a light on several occasions as a self-defence tool. But for me, the word 'tactical' only applies to non-civilian emergency service workers, military, etc.
@@awesomeaxel1 I agree, I have a warrior 3s and it is really useful while walking my dog early in the morning when we come across coyotes (There are many), they hate turbo or strobe mode!
