One year goddam ,where did it go I musta been in a fragrance induced coma 😅,but seriously Rams it’s been a magnificent year, such a learning curb and re introduction to my first classics now vintage ,and new and out of the box forward thinking perfumers,damn its been a blast ,cheers for the ride my friend,honestly I’m in awe of your passion,honesty and deftly on point nose and insight,take a bow fella ,you own this bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Oh never sniffed Imitation Woman but I have the Man version and it quickly grew on me superb 👍
So glad you were here as a citizen of our small but passionate fragtown for the first year 🙇♂️

In my belief, one of the purposes of humans is to witness and appreciate the art and beauty of the Creator so that we can get to know Him. Fragrances are one facet of His art. I believe that reviewing and appreciating them is a great task :) , and you are good at it.

I know this one is weird and a lot of ppl don’t like it but I love this one. Imitation Woman not the mens.
I loved it too.. it'd on my Amouage women's bottle list to get one day 🫂
Great review - this is an often ignored scent and I think discontinued now thanks to the fish man. You still have some bangers to smell like memoir woman which is terrific. Myths woman is a biter green chypre and also worth a shot
Re chong: I agree - during his tenure at amouage my consistent feeling is that his releases had integrity - love them or not, they all deserved their place in the amouage art gallery because of their originality, quality and were created for the right reasons (art and not money). The good always outweighed the bad. We can’t say that now…

Ive been late to the amouage party but I've picked up ciel, beach, bracken, sunshine, jubilation and cologne this year.... I've not really worn them yet due to getting them out of season but I'm liking what I've sniffed so far.
Good finds man... have you been hunting the vintage bottles? Or just going for what is available at retail??👁👁
By the way Ram I have two bottles of Imitation Woman and it is explosively potent right out of the bottle!!
I love it... it's on my Amouage Woman's full bottle wish list along with Memoir Woman & Overture Woman & Ubar 💪🐏
I sampled Imitation Woman and loved it but could not afford a bottle at that time. Sadly, I forgot about it through the years and have never owned a full bottle. Although I have more feminine and unasex perfumes, I always have owned some masculine intended perfumes.

Ram! Great video! One of your more thoughtful & reflective ones, which we really appreciate in this house! 😀😀 🙌👏👏🙏❤️ I feel the same about “men’s” frags… I might have missed out on Habit Rouge, Bel Ami, etc. etc. 🤯 And my lucky husband’s fragrance wardrobe has been considerably upgraded! 🤣😀

By the way, I wonder if it can take some time to see (in a public-facing way) the deep work a new creative director is doing. For example, I hear that Renault Salmon is working with UNESCO to establish a frankincense protection area in the south of Oman, and other projects to protect the vastly over-harvested and fragile local (heritage) perfumery resources of the nation. I wonder if there is a genuine attempt to rebuild something sustainable that will see a return to quality? I have no answers, but time might tell. 🤷🏻♀️

In fact he’s done 2 fragrances under the new regime, both flankers of Interlude.
Imitation Women is a masterpiece to me, I chose it over Imitation Man at the time of release.
Good point ... I do like Interlude Black Iris... even though I rebelled against buying a bottle when it first came out because I thought Amouage should NOT be doing flankers I am glad I ended up buying a full bottle. As far as interlude 53 that whole procees of upping the perfume oils and dubling the price I cant get behind. But I understand why Amouage does it because its a total score for their bottom line. I did a comparison video between epic woman and epic 56 and while I enjoyed epic 56 I am just as happy with my EDP of Epic Woman. If someone sends me Interlude 53 or reflection 45 I will do comparison videos with the regular EDPs I have but I wont go out and buy those fragrances myself ... it just doesnt seem Amouage is offering enough to make it worth it for me ... it feels like they are living off of the brilliance of the Chong regime... just my personal opinion 🤷♂️

When there are 100s of new releases a week... gotta spray the ankles to test it all on skin i guess.. unless i can get a hot 21 year college intern that wants to let me test perfumes on her...now taking applications btw 😂😂

@@RamseytheRam Don't forget to mention during the interview that fragrances are best tested where it's warm. Like on the inner thigh? Also imperative to consider the differences between male and female body chemistries. A side-by-side comparison would be ideal.

Nice video. I try all mens and now start to collect womens. Have Memoir, Overture, Guidance (unisex declared). Now after this, i want imitation woman 😊 How about sillage and aura and performance generaly of Imitation woman? Imitation man from me have great longevity +12h but skin scent sillage from start.
From the sample it seems the womans was similar to the mens... but honestly I dont remember and I usually dont talk about longevity / projection / sillage but it seemed really good on this one from memory
I recently sampled Overture Woman...it was outstanding. I like it even more than Lyric Woman.
So many Amouage womans versions to sniff still for me... I have never smelled Overture woman but it is on the to sniff list for sure... thanks for watching & commenting Mike 🍻

As always. Great video. Quick off the cuff unrelated question. If you had to choose creed royal oud or Amouage opus 9.which one you going for?
Well Royal Oud is much more wearable....but the problem is I personally feel I prefer the older creeds so you need a 2016 or before bottle... basically a pre-Blackrock bottle... opus 9 is much more artistic but you might struggle with where to wear it as it so out there... but that animalic honey floral is unreal... 😇

Edit: It sounds like Chong just understood Amouage and what Amouage needed.

Imitation women is taken off it’s discontinued fyi, but you still can find it , open it to me with black currant , really great perfume 🫶🏼

Blackcurrant Bud... apparently it gives of a different profile than just blackcurrant
