Everytime I feel weighed down or depressed about society's obsession with mediocrity , laziness and being famous for being famous, he delivers a masterpiece like this and...suddenly, its like a breath of fresh air. Recently lost my Mum to cancer followed by by Nan 5 weeks later who suffered with dementia. This really hit me this performance, in tears typing this. I wish this lad all the love & luck in the world, what an immense talent x

This bloke is curing a lot of people, creating an understanding of “how the other half lives” - whilst reminding us, whoever we are - we all share things in common. We are one people. Incredible how you can relate a song to something you're feeling at the time even if that's not what the lyrics were necessarily about...I think it was about his grandmother? But for me, recently fell madly in love with a girl already in a long term relationship and set to marry this year and after finding out she felt the same way, something which just never happens to me..had to accept, understandably, that she couldn't leave her partner after all that time and they had to make a go of it. When he found out, he completely banished me from her life...rightfully so of course. Devastating isn't the word because I've never been happier than I was around her and she admitted the same. Felt meant to be, but everything in me wants her to be happy regardless. "You mend me, make my day, it's your face, and I pray you'll remember my name." Relatable.
