Harvest Moon DS - Quick End (your dog attacking Thomas)

After you take control over the main character, go outside your house. Thomas will be there to greet you. You can skip the tutorial from him if you tell him to go away. Other than that, Thomas will introduce himself and make fun of your farm. Because of this, Jack (main character) starts attacking him just like how Claire (the main character from More Friends of Mineral Town) did 100 years ago, since HMDS takes place 100 years after FoMT/MFoMT and AWL/AnWL. After failing to hurt Thomas, your dog attacks him instead. If you choose to help him, the game continues as normal, BUT if you don't help, you get a game over and the credits play. The game goes back to the main screen and you have to start the game again.
Random Note:
One reason why I think Thomas is the Harvest King is because he can end your game if you try to kill him just like in this scene. Same thing with when you poison the valley during the Harvest Festival with a level 100 poison mushroom (toadstool) using your mushroom house, the game will end.

I got this ending the very first time I played this game, it was my first time playing a HM game and I was ten years old. Lemme tell you, this was one hell of an unexpected plot twist...
I remember being super pissed that I couldn't keep on playing with the mayor dead, though. Imagine all the villagers living in fear of you. Imagine being able to get rid of the dog ball easily. Imagine the power you'd have.

This is why Jack Harvest is the perfect candidate for the Super Smash Brothers series. He has an arsenal of deadly weapons and beasts at his command, and he's not afraid to use them.
+M1NAM1 Except, his name is Pete. One of the Game Boy releases confirms this and even a spin-off calls him that, too. But, I say he would be a very playable fighter. I can not list any of his main moves right off my head, but I could think up some specials.
Up Special - Magical Leap (through aid of Harvest Sprites)
Side Special - Horse (similar to the bike, but grinds instead and foes can scare it off by hitting it enough times)
Down Special - Till Land (when used in air, a sweetspotted hit is a spike)
Neutral Special - Plant Seed (plants if land is tilled, scrolls through available seeds if not near the tilled land)
He could be a semi-clone of Villager whom incorporates a bit of farming elements himself and the idea of using tools to fight. I could easily see Pete fighting.

SAME! I had played NM for N64, PS1, and SNES prior to this, and I actually could not believe what I was seeing. I downloaded the game off the internet onto my R4 for the DS and I legitimately thought I had got a hacked copy or something. This game was SO fucking weird compared to those other ones I had played.

My 6 year old daughter played this game for the first time tonight and I sat with her to help her read it (I've never played I either) and she chose this option by accident and the whole screen turned red and it traumatised her! She was crying over it. Took me an extra 2 hours to get her to bed because she says its all she sees when she closes her eyes!

I heard of this ending before, and I had to look it up because I couldn't believe it was real and not some stupid creepypasta (the only Harvest Moon game I had played was Animal Parade for context, and that's one of the most chill, wholesome games I've ever played).

they have a personal hatred for the mayor back when they played mfomt.
they saved the part where mayor dies (we were playing with an emulator) and they proceeded to repeat it every time they got angry at me or any other thing.

Must be the Japanese version. Every version outside Japan has the white screen to make it less intense due to the DS being marketed towards kids.

Bruh, I thought ppl in the comments on a vid talking about choices mattering/not mattering in games were kidding when they mentioned this was a thing that can actually happen in this game. I've never played this before, and my only frame of reference was that Stardew Valley was inspired by/the spiritual successor to it, so I wasn't expecting the MC in this game to just start trying to beat the shit out of the mayor, and the mayor to be surprisingly chill about it lol. I mean, Stardew Valley's not afraid to handle some heavy subject matter if you reach certain friendship levels with the characters, but I don't think there's any way to just straight-up shiv the mayor like this

And so... Jack's dog ripped out the Mayor's throat, and Mineral Town threw him out... The end.

I only played Harvest Moon Back To Nature on PS1. I was shocked when I first saw this on CZcams because I can't believe it's real. Thought it's just an edgy fan-made stuff at first. Harvest Moon is such a surreal series.
