So you got those taillights from Repco, right?
How much is the patreon for you to make me own tho?
Good use of the safety squint for welding, made my day
Jesus that shed floor CAD (chalk-aided-design) brings back child hood memories! The old man, a fitter & turner, yelling out “Stay outta the shed! I need those drawings!”
😂👌
Don't forget Cardboard Aided Design
CAD (Carton Aided Design)
Dave spinning around on the holesaw was epic, hahaha. Also Matt's mig squint was on point
Really boiley right there!
Safety Squint tm
I don’t know the reference of those images but they always remind me of the “Friends” episode with “Ultimate Fireball”
Spinning Dave ftw 🤣🤣
No better friendship to have then a mechanic and a boiler maker. I'm the mechanic and my best mate is the boily. His skills aren't required often, but when needed they are priceless to have.
The difference between a good weld and a bad weld is a couple coats of cold galv.
Something satisfying about a techy drawing done with chalk on the floor
That safety squint is on point 👌🤣
Why arent they using seamless cold drawn material ?
Lee is a beautiful human that deserves more positive feelings from his friends. He has what is considered the finest stick book collection in Queensland. I heard he once saved a duckling by helping it across the road. It’s said he can turn XXXX into actual beer just by holding the can.
He is also a chooch. So is Nathan.
@@theskidfactory what is a Chooch?
@@d913y As I’m a fully qualified chooch, I can say that you too are a chooch if you don’t know what a chooch is.
@@d913y it’s a shortened Italian saying for someone who lacks common sense.
Don't think the rhythmic Mig tacks at 19:30 were lost on us Woody, top shelf 😂👌
It’s the small things that make the difference 👌🏻👌🏻
@@theskidfactory That's what she said.
I’ve worked with Matt out at Paulgers engineering on heaps of jobs, good to see him on the channel he’s a good bloke!
Thanks Tom, good to see your channel along. 👌
Love the old safety squints!
Lee is a chooch, written in dust 😂
Mint episode 👌🏻 rear bar looks awesome
So is Nathan
“haha I’m not cutting up the quarters that’s stupid” I’m with u fella no chop on guards
Until you cave them in.....and crease the rear quarter 😂
12:32 - Good to see Matt wearing his safety squints! Also having fun reading the writing in the dirt on the back of the wagon!
The content is always unfailingly awesome, but the quality of the edits is continuing to go through the roof.
A lot of love going into these uploads 🤘
I have not seen chalk on the floor blueprinting in a long time. What a great visual aid for a quick teaching lesson for a young person. And everyone thought a garage flood was just meant to be swept up.
Binky Style (never finished, with extra brackets) 😂😂😂
‘Turbo yodas’ hand on the otherside of his head when welding hahahah
The Leyland Brothers! I'm sure this has been said before but it has finally struck me what the narration and voiceover style is like!
19:30 welding along with the rhythm of the music. I've noticed this in last videos, syncing the actions with the music. I love the attention to give detail 👌🏻
Gee That matts a good guy.
Engine hoist and a nylon strap will hold that tire in place with no worries on falling.
That thing is really coming along awesome. Best bumper ever.
I was thinking the same when watching them chock it up
You boys have that safety squint on point.
It would be awesome to see you guys team up with MCM on an Offroad adventure like what they did in the Kei Truck.
Just a couple of mad dogs bendin sum choobs in a shed 😎🤙
YouChoob 😎
Great episode.
When I had the fab workshop, there is no better way to ensure your fab job is true and square than by marking it out on a flat bit of concrete.
The same "law" for lights here in Norway. Good work guys!
In Switzerland to.
Old school Max Power sticker on the trolley!!! That’s from my era son!
sick speedholes bro
The struggle is real trying to show the advantages of bringing Computer Aided Design into the old skool world of fabrication on the fly. Excellent video.
I'm not into modifying cars Allen, I just watch you guys to remind me why I don't 😝
Liking the use of the safety squints guys😂😂
All Dave had to do to live in Al and Woody's heads rent free was to burn up 17 holesaws in one day. Amazing :)
Awesome generosity giving public access to the plans. Thanks
I have a tube mandrel/bender, it’s a JD squared model 3, similar to yours being ratchet system, but is only £700 for the machine and die sets around £300, made all my roll cage out of mine, did a few for mates, paid for itself in no time, quality things to have
Anyone who had ever seen a riggers or patternmakers drawing loft in something like a shipyard with drawings the size of half a football pitch will tell it's something that CAD can never satisfy , but that progress . Great show as usual
Loving the montage tunes! Reminds me of oldschool Hermitude. Guess the vid is alright too haha. Keep it up legends.
Have the pre-order shirts from Feb come in yet? Been waiting for the postie to send me some mad merch.
Love the diversity of the channel, always something new and interesting being tackled. Keep it up lads. 👌👌
Half have been dispatched but we have had delays on the second half. They will be dispatched immediately when we receive them.
I like the bits where someone's grinding/sanding/whatever and closing their eyes to keep gunk out while wearing safety glasses on the top of their hat 🤘
only thing I would change is making the tail light plates recessed so the lights arent so exposed to reversing related oopsies
Man, that rear bumper is on a whole other level... 100% absolutely impressive work, guys! GO HAWKS!!! 😁 Am not even from Alaska 😁
Sweet episode! Enjoyed the after credits!
Always keen to learn something form you Legends!! Please please paint those sidesteps black!
That bender is like the high lift jack of death.
Every time Al says TUUUBE 😂😂😂😂 So damn funny, love it
Orrcon makes TUUUBE in QLD
Loving the MIG poses this episode.... on point 🤣
I expected at least one wiggle of the wheel carrier with an exclamation "that's not going anywhere!" Love the bar work! The bender you guys used looks nice and simple. Do it manually so you take the time to get it spot on 👌
The banter brings me all the joy
Lucky Mat, can deliver an on the spot flange. Just hope the flanges don't have spots.
So many lovely brackets!
Congrats on 200K Subs! Well deserved guys! Cheers from the screwed up US lol. Zip~
Oh wow! Those are some serious fab skills when you can start out with a plan, rather than making it up as you go along. Absolutely superb. Wish I had those hand-drawing skills.
Excellent content! Nice bit of variety.
Being in the U.K i'm not suprised these guys are good at "bar work" 😂😂😂
Epic rear bar! Love the fabrication! This Patrol is coming together so nicely.
Looks awesome guys. I can certainly relate to the time taken to build one, I built my of for a gu and it takes a shit load of time but very satisfying.
Can’t wait for the Internet to melt over your tack welding face😂😂
As a boilermaker I approve 💯. Good job.
I like the bumper, I would have left a couple of toe holes in it to use as a ladder to reach the top of the truck for your pre requisite roof rack
This project is coming along nicely. Please keep the videos coming.
In my best late 80s Cali surfer slang.... It's looking totally tubular man!
@TheSkidFactory go nuts with the Sikaflex on the rear side of your bar - keep the mud from catching
That rear bar looks killer!!
That flare matching piece is only gorgeous
No cheeky comeback @ the Nugget Garage boys this week?
Did The Hoff get you good?
Al - "that looks stupid"
Woody - "you're stupid"
like the window print 😁
ahahaha, the tack-faces are epic as was dave on the holesaws.. such a fun and informative ep, had be chuckling the whole time 😂👌
Of course ya gotta have a lemon squash when designing a rear bar.
Ahhh the mystery of the tail lights solved, cheers for that.
Great episode, I love the rear bar and how you built it. Great stuff.
Whoa, watch out guys....someone appears to have stolen your clean "31's" and replaced them with 35s?! Those cheeky dogs!
The face Al makes without a welding helmet is the same face I make with one! 😂
The bumper turn out pretty good looks great on there
I really want more friends...mechanics, body builders/repairers, fabricators, all welcome.
Slight suggestion... Maybe add a latch to the door itself; linked to the lower latch so only one handle part needed. You don't want it taking mush of the weight, but having the door help to hold it vertical and stop any weird flexing that'd fatigue the pivot pin.
That is a beast bumper! Flash Gordon.
YEAH WOODY!!!
liking the new intro.
Best shed ever
Al, I like your rear number plate! 👍👍👍
LEGENDS ALL OF THESE BLOKES.
not that I know them......
Turbo yoda ....
I think the whole thing qualifies as a "bracket" and Matt should enter in the "Internetional Car Show" in that category.
As much as I'm loving the build, I have to call out the awesome NIИ inspired sounding music in this episode 🤘
Many a successful old racing car was built using the chalk on the floor method.
I was half expecting a flash cantilever frame for the spare tyre so you could just glide from the storage position to the ground ;-)
That bumper turned out nice
The Dimple die finish will look so good when powder coating is done.👍😀
Safety squint in full effect.
Seems like supercheap auto is a great place. They should come to the UK.
Matthew looks a bit like Sam Hill, legendary Australian downhill MTB racer.
That bar looks awesome boys
This is a dream truck man, looks so good.
Love me a bit of fab. Would like to have seen you guys build your own bender, you have the smarts to.
What a bad ass bumper love the work much love ✌
Gotta love the safety squint when welding
Simply the best.
youTUBING
Could add a small linkage between the tire carrier and the old mount points on the door so that when unlatched they swing out together.
I'm a big fan of steel plate for making up bumpers, no real special tools or technical cad needed and pretty easy match aftermarket finish level in a home shop .
Bending tube up is PITA get dimensions/fit right both sides and ends and infill becomes messy .
Interesting see how blends after powder coating, expect will make big difference .
Mad Max would be impressed !
Very nice work guys 🤙👌
Nice to see the boys just getting on with it with the MIG, so we don't have to put up with the comments circle jerk about how pretty the TIG dimes are.
I need this for my 80, this is awesome.
Al's the guy that takes the last frothy. Yep. He's THAT guy.
It is Al's house & shed. I'm all for hospitality, but the last beer is the last beer. Why are the hangers-on not bringing beer when they come over?
@@yowie0889 The last beer is a sacred object that must not be touched while company is around.
