I recently purchased a 2015 WRX STi Launch Edition and it's a great driver's car. Driving the STi like a madman on bumpy backroads as I frequently do, the STi really shines. For the price, the STi is an amazing performance car. No, it isn't a refined luxury sports sedan - thank goodness. There are too many comfy, wanna-be sports sedans with soft suspensions and an automatic-only transmission. The STi, the Evo 10 (my previous car) and the Ford Focus ST (my other car) are capable rally cars that are really fun to drive! Buy an STi and enjoy it before every car turns into an appliance like the Nissan Leaf.
Recently ran into a brand new 80 grand M3. He pulled up behind me fast before a big, empty corner. So I hit the corner. Hard. He did, too, but got left in the dust. Not saying my car is faster (15 STI), I love the m3, but his was new and he likely didn't know how to handle that power in the corners. He drove up to me at a light and we chatted for a few minutes. He was amazed at how fast the car cornered. Loved it! I told him how much I loved his car and it was just an awesome interaction. So rare to meet people in 80 thousand plus dollar cars willing to even acknowledge non-super cars, let alone compliment and be that stoked. Cool guy. Great car (on both ends).
Gotta agree with you man. I’ve had my 2021 wrx sti for 6 months now and I love it. I only really enjoy driving manual transmissions and that’s all I’ve ever owned I’ve owned a lot of different cars and they’ve all been fun. But the wrx sti has been my dream car I’d have it over any car any Ferrari, lambo, I like my sti. So lucky to have it. I love your car collection! Sounds so fun. Love the focus st and that sti you have lovely line up! Manuals forever!
want to buy one but really dont want to wape.... or my car to wape oil out the exaust.. (btw there was a trick to avoid all those problems yeah, either replacing something early or always topping off the oil or something cos they burn a bit of oil. remember what it was by any chance?)
@@AIDANPEREIRA I'm 2 years late but as long as you keep up with basic maintenance, they're fine. I've had my 06 STi for 15 years, doesn't burn a single drop of oil. You just have to keep an eye on everything, like oil pressure, oil levels every time you fill up with gas just in case, etc. They cost a little bit of money to keep reliable but you have to pay to play. The reliability issues really started once the broke Honda kids came over and dogged on them, without doing the maintenance.. then you started seeing all of their posts online and it made it look like a bigger issue than it is.
This isn't accurate. The wife/girlfriend would have stolen all the blanket. If you take a blanket from a girl she will notice instantly and take them back. Lol

How is he able to drift that sharply at that speed? I have the same car except it’s a 2016 (hyperblue) but can’t get that kind of drift like this dude is doing. Can someone explain?
People seem to forget that an STI straight out of dealership is NOT a rally car like Impreza WRC. Driving it like this on roads like these will kill it soon.
how can he make such a angle in the corners? mine has allways the habbit of goint straith in the corners with the front end. Did he use the handbrake? Or a different differencial setting?
Probably not though, in actuality. Maybe the tires, but I've beat on a lot of Subaru's over the years and they're much tougher than you give them credit for. Still got my 89 Legacy that I used to use for rally cross and my 99 Forester has replaced it for that, but they're awesome.
All these years of owning WRX STI's and I didn't know that this is what Rally Bread actually means.
