I just love the grizzly bear at the end. They had no solution or was the solution beyond affordability? You are already thinking of a solution to their “no” to an issue. When you want to thrive, walls are always there that must be removed. The old idea is that people with disabilities are to just sit back and watch the world go by. Continue to show them that you at grabbing the bull by the horns and living an active life-thriving. Every obstacle you overcome gives someone else an easier path to follow. Continue to inspire. Six more days to begin the next phase. You got this. It’s hard, but it is worth it. ❤
Hi Jeff, I think a good innovative seamstress or tailor could help you with your under garment & stable knee pads. They just need to be functional right. I've worked in private health care 23 yrs. I feel for you. It takes a lot of inner & outer strength to keep moving forward. You're a great example for many people who are struggling also. You hit a wall & keep trying. So many give up. I have a friend with 1 amputation leg like you. Caused from diabetes. She was the head of a physical therapy department in a hospital. She knew what & to do. But never tried to become self-sufficient and is pretty much housebound. That to me is sad. For all the extra energy and stuggling you go through just to do simple actions alone, you are a courageous brave man. You have & are accomplishing a life for yourself. Your driving & continuing to enjoy going places. Making video's that people like. Also, making them aware that there is a need for better handicap accessibility for individuals that could make life easier. You Rock🌟 Jeff. 🙏💜🕊
I've worked with those lifts for 40 years at my job. There should be a little valve near the pump. Try opening that a little bit and then reclosing it back up. Sometimes they'll get air in them and it'll cause them to move slow like that too and the weather does affect them also
The long underwear could work , they have a flap in the back, buttons in the front, legs can be shortened and those knee pads workers use could be put in the bottom of the legs ( in a pocket for removals to laundry. The pads should fit your stumps nicely. Another thought for the knee pads , if they already have straps, possibly lengthen the straps to attach to say a pair of suspenders?? Mull these ideas over, I am sure you will figure how to adapt . I have followed you and Chrome, etc for a few years now. Take care. ❤❤
Don't beat yourself up over what Diabetes did to you. My brother has Type 2 and when he was first diagnosed as pre-diabetic his doctor told him he could be the "poster child" for how to keep his sugar levels down as he was crazy-regimented on what he ate but in the end it didn't stop him from becoming full-fledged diabetic. He was so discouraged but the doctor told him that for some people it doesn't matter what you do in an attempt to control it, you will end up moving up the line to actual diabetes. He came to terms with it once he accepted the fact that he'd done everything he could and it wasn't his fault.
End up moving to actual diabetes??? You’re kidding right? His pancreas no longer makes insulin. Nothing leads up to type 1. It either makes insulin or it doesn’t. What a knucklehead comment. Type one is nothing like type 2. Educate yourself.
Jeff, you know what you need and how it should work. Just like everything else, you have figured out how to do it. You will come up with a solution for this also. I mean, dang, Jeff, you rode up an escalator. Don't get down on it. You will figure it out in time and practice.
Good idea. Maybe sweatpants would be softer than Long Johns or try a tuc for each one for short jaunts? Use pads inside and strap on with Velcro straps? Spandex is stretchy and thinner material for summer. Just tossing some things up in the air. Much love! 🤗🥰
Brother. Aint that the truth. One needs $$$ in this world. Im struggling like so many are. The ones that are doing well are couples with 2 in comes over time.
My sister,s daughter had to have both legs removed, she got shit for help no help at all,so it is good to be thankful to be alive, she died of massive heart attack, the medincal is all F up,so be thankful for what you have
Jeffie Bear This is the first time I've seen your eyes so sad. You have been to hell and back with utmost bravery. Don't allow this to get to you. You'll get through it. You are not only inspiring people with your health issue but people like me with mine. Some ailments are in the genes and are not seen until we get older. Doctors can't see it all even with such tech. Don't give up bro because your pain hurts and your wins make me smile. ❤❤❤GREECE
Noticed that you seemed a little off today too. Is your blood sugar level okay? Also remember, winter has an affect on our spirits. Not getting enough sunshine affects our vitamin D. Take care Bear. You are loved.
Sending love and hugs to you. As Bob Marley said every little thing is gonna be alright. Yay I'm so happy your van is working for you. I just got mine back. It's fine now. ❤❤😊😊
Maybe Joseph can engineer something for you if you get to visit near him. I am afraid underwear will pull down or pull backwards as you try to walk. You may need something that goes all the way over your shoulders and snaps together. In the meantime maybe some suspenders to insure the stay on.
Sorry it was frustrating, but if anyone can come up with a solution, it's you. Sounds like you already have a great idea - I mean it's just you, and you will know what is working for you or not when you try it. If not, at least you will have an idea of what needs to be improved or tried differently. ❤😊
Gel shoe inserts that you can cut to fit? Wrap in some memory foam? If you get leggings to sew up the bottom, have a seamstress sew on some of those nonskid socks. Just throwing out some ideas. They sell sheep skin too that you can cut to fit.
Hi Big Bro Jeffie Bear 🐻 ❤️ hang in there, you'll get through as you have been, always in my prayers too. Sending lots of love hugs and prayers daily Bro🤗❤️🙏
I know you'll come up with something but I'm going to pray to God to help you come up with the best solution Jeffie. I know He will help 🙏 Lots of love going your way ❤️
Hi Jeffie,, it's me again with another thought in regards to your standing and stumps. Have you given thought to a pair of leather pants with a sole insertion such as I earlier mentioned. I am thinking of a shoe maker, leather worker, surely , surely someone can help. Personally I like the leather pants idea and adapted. I know a guy in Saskatchewan who Might be able. Come on people, let's help Jeffie. ❤
You have amazing inner strength! It's understandable to feel disappointment! But you keep on going. And to be so creative to come up with another way. You deserve a lot of respect for how fast and how well you are progressing -- overcoming so many obstacles! Respect!
We all have our down days don't we... but you are extremely resourceful and you will find a solution 😊... poor family jewels gonna get chilly!! Hang in there you got this!!
You look really tired today. I'm sorry things are not going well for you. I hope it gets better. It's hard to be without funds, and without good insurance. It's always a struggle. I know you'll think of something. I'm praying for you. Be safe.
Down here in the states, we hear Canadians tell us how great their health care is up in Canada. They wonder why we don’t have the same kind of healthcare here in the States. This maybe the reason why! We wish you well and hope that you get some help in resolving this issue!
You got this Jeffie Bear. I know Jared Crocker off youtube has a stump, his doesnt fall off. However his accident happened when he was 2 with a lawnmower. Really hope things get sorted for you. xx
You have to be very careful to not damage skin on stumps. Just thoughts.... hard bottom to the stump pads so they don't wear out (wood, plastic) then a dense material for stability (probably up and around stumps) finally a gel layer for cushion.??? Well that's a starting point 😃 ?
Good to see you again looks like your van is going well I'm sure Jeff that there is salutation for you and knowing you and your intelligence you will figure it out I will be praying 🙏 for you take care 🐻 hugs to you ❤😊
Hey, 👋 You mentioned long johns to hold them on but Im wondering if those tight socks you wear for swollen legs but cut the feet off would work. Thigh highs and I do believe they make them to come over the waist as well. They fit pretty snug so they wont slip much. You could also make a flap for the front kind of like how they used to make the butt flap on mens long johns years ago, but do it for the front. Anyway just a thought. Whatever you do come up with I myself would be glad to donate to you. When you have a plan, we/I will help. Great video ❤
Jeff, if you invent something that works well for you perhaps you can patent it to help others in your position. Perhaps using semi inflated plastic balls in the upper part of the legs of those longjohns would give your stumps some cushioning and lesson the friction and pressure on your stumps. Just brainstorming.
You just have to do what you have to do for you. Circumstances change in life. Sometimes we have to learn how to adapt to a different way of living life.
I feel you, if it not money it’s something else. See if you can get info on disability groups to help you I’m sure there are many reach out to them see what they can help with. Stay positive don’t give up move forward ❤
Jeff, have you thought of getting stubbies? I’m a bilateral above knee amputee as well, and I’m getting stubbies in a couple of weeks. I’m looking so forward to it!
It's a little different for me, my issues, but I can definitely relate to frustration. I'm laughing at myself. I must be doing okay! Love Ya Jeffie Bear!
Glad to hear that you are so honest with us - it makes people feel less alone and isolated knowing that there are other people dealing with this as well. Love ya!
Jeffy bear, after so many hurdles you have met adversity head on and have shown so much positive to others.Your thoughts of long johns is good but I would try a comfortable pair of gym trunks that would work and wouldnt be as hot.Stay positive with your insurance as their all becoming thrifty😊
The bathroom solution is very good years ago long underwear was made that way a flap that was buttoned so you could just unbutton and so there's nothing wrong with that! It will make it easy peasy for you! ❤ Looking forward seeing you back on the road again! God bless you ❤
Use long socks sewn into your shorts at the belt loop so when pull pants up or down the socks come with the pants or socks with garter straps like they used back in 1800 for children
Sending love and prayers to you Jeffie , I’m sure you could maybe Google ideas of what other people have done to resolve this underwear/bathroom issues tbh prob best from someone that has experienced it rather than doctors , there will be a solution ❤
What was he hoping to get covered and taken care of this appointment for his stumps?... stump socks, neoprene covers, etc? ... My dad was an amputee and i always thought Canada had better health coverage than the US......
Jeffie I know I sound crazy but it's true. Med beds are here. They regrow your limbs. Not kidding. They are being used at a Base in nova Scotia. Lots of good things are coming. 🥰💜🙏
I would think they would be too tight over the thigh . The last thing he wants to do is restriction of blood flow. But then i don’t know anything about hockey socks.
Jeffie, are you still in a position where you can work? Like a customer service job, work from home ( van ) You would havbe a steady , decent income..and be able to qualify for benefits.
Jeffie u can use the padded parts of old bra's an put it in maybe some cut of spandex an sew the bottom.Just an idea, hang in there u will come up with something ❤
Have you checked in with any Non Profit groups for help? Like Rotary Clubs, Salvation Army, etc... Even churches? Other quadrapedics? Frustrating but I have faith you will find more answer's. 🙏
Here's a thought: maybe you could have underwear that has a long slit tin the crotch part with velcro to hold it closed. Then you could just pull it apart when doing your biz???? May not work, but might be worth a try. I'm sure you will find ways to make all of these little obstacles fall into place. . . . . especially when you have such a great bunch of followers sharing ideas with you!
I did a quick search you might want to look into a three-piece compression suit has the shorts long pants and a top I think that might help if you also can cut the middle out for the private area and have the bottom sewn to your length with the pads for comfort🤝🫡🙏

Jeff I think that's a great idea! It's going to work for sure. You don't need anything fancy, just functional. Wonderful video. Thanks
I think your idea is a good one. You have shown there is a great need out there for folks in your position. Hang tough, it will work out. "love yous"

1 in 3 Americans are living with pre diabetes. Almost 100 million people!

I LOVE YOUR SPIRIT JEFFIE BEAR 🐻 ❤❤❤❤
Sending ya lots of love
🤔 I wonder if an elastic head band would serve a temporary service till you get a better plan.
Glad to hear that you are so honest with us - it makes people feel less alone and isolated knowing that there are other people dealing with this as well. Love ya!
Hey there Jennifer glad I could help ya. Yur tough I don't feel I could initiate lol like now though much for doing things other than stay home 😍👀🙄💝😻
Have a fundraiser to get things done 🎉❤

Maybe look into wetsuit material as something to make a stump cover with some padding to it.
Wooo 6 days and the bears going be on the road again 🎶 🎵
Jeffie Bear......What about chaps ,like cowboys wear they stop around your waist and your legs
Thanks for sharing your journey 🌞
Jeff,You will get it all figured out. I love watching your videos and can't wait for the next one ❤❤❤
🤜🤛🎉🎉🎉keep on vanning Jeffiebear🎉🎉🎉🎉
Just think you might be the inventor of a new product to help other people like you..❤
I thought the US was bad, but I didn't think Canada was like this. Mind you, it's pretty bad in the UK, and that's the NHS, totally tax (debt) funded.
Use long socks sewn into your shorts at the belt loop so when pull pants up or down the socks come with the pants or socks with garter straps like they used back in 1800 for children
you think it out. way awesome vid. thank you
Hi Jeffrey bear love seu sending strength
I hope you can find a seamstress,if I was there I would offer but fingers crossed for you!
would garters like hockey players wear work to hold up covers?
Hey Jeff! If you were still out west I could have probably helped you out with making the garment you mentioned. Hope you’re doing well!
Two words: garter belt.
That's what I was thinking!
Thanks!
Jeffie I know I sound crazy but it's true. Med beds are here. They regrow your limbs. Not kidding. They are being used at a Base in nova Scotia. Lots of good things are coming. 🥰💜🙏
I checked it out. It’s a scam
@Tattiepoo1 that one might be but they are real and soon will be here.
Only for the elite
6 days!!! 👍😎🇨🇦☕🐻
A bead of silicone spread around the top of the socks will keep them up.
Suspenders maybe 😊
Consult another orthotic group. Never seen someone not be able to get proper fitting
Don't worry, you'll fiqure this out.
Jeff have u thought of hockey socks and would they work
I would think they would be too tight over the thigh . The last thing he wants to do is restriction of blood flow. But then i don’t know anything about hockey socks.
Could you use suspenders some how? Just a thought.
Jeffie, are you still in a position where you can work? Like a customer service job, work from home ( van )
You would havbe a steady , decent income..and be able to qualify for benefits.
Mr Jeffie bear...Hello..hope your well!
Jeffie u can use the padded parts of old bra's an put it in maybe some cut of spandex an sew the bottom.Just an idea, hang in there u will come up with something ❤
