What are your healthy food hacks or habits?
Hi Good work ,few suggestions as per ayurveda - 1-Avoid drinking standing - 2 -Never eat beef bec cow has high channel to adopt sun energy and thats why emotionaly they reduce fair chemical at the time of death which can cause cancer to the eaters sooner or later 3- Tr y to eat fresh bec what we eat is actaully holds a life force energy in any form .. ( please search and read ayurvedic life style) thankyou
Eating smaller healthy snack each 3h. One good balanced lunch. 💪
Shop in a full stomach to avoid making unhealthy choices.
I eat peanut butter and/or cheese sticks as snacks. I don't use regular sugar. I use sugar alcohols. Vegetables are a big part of my meals. We get our eggs from a farm too. Essentially, I really control my sugar consumption.
We have a loose weekly menu that goes something (but not always) like this:
Mondays - chicken and veg
Tuesdays - Tacos
Wednesdays - Cheap Food (Eggs on toast, ramen, veggie burrito bowl, etc)
Thursdays - Something ethnic? or soup?
Fridays - The kid and the husband have pizza. I have something else.
Saturdays - Junk food: hamburgers or something
Sundays - Spaghetti
While One day in the week is "cheap food", actually, most days are pretty dang cheap, except for Fridays. We never have beef or pork, except ground beef - too dang expensive. I'm trying to incorporate more vegetarian meals as prices on food have gone through the roof. Kind of not ok when the veggies we usually get have gone up by 50% in a couple of weeks.
That egg crack was personal
I eat either toast or oats every morning, green tea everyday morning.
Lunch is always a variation of tofu salad wraps (what salads go in varies but always have wholemeal wraps with hummus as a base)
Dinner is what varies a lot. It could be anything from oatmeal, veg stir fry, veg noodle stir fry, or other dishes. Sometimes Pizza. We're plant based so most our fruit and veg is seasonal to save on produce cost. Having a eating script definitely saves money and reduces decision fatigue. 👌
We eat very similar. All about the same and simple. We are oatmeal guys too! Every morning. We do the same too, make dinner and have good leftovers the next day. Love the 12-8 eating window too. 💯😃🙌🏼
I drink water first too and then coffee cuz. I love the taste of coffee. I too eat the same things every day! It is fine in my opinion because it is easier for me and then I cook different things on Saturday's when I have a little more time. I am not bored at all!!!
Hi Gabe I am 14 years old and I am not eating enough and I usually eat crap food which is not good for me,
this video has really helped me eat healthy.
I always start my day with I nice smoothy and nice eggs and sausages I always have some nice serial with a nice berry's and I love it!
Thanks Gabe.
That’s me too. I drink water, coffee, make eggs and spinach and sometimes quinoa for breakfast. Snacks consist of nuts or yogurt with some toppings like chia or nuts or berries. Lunches are fresh veg and salad. Dinner varies but I focus all my attention on veggies or grains and meatless “meat”. If I do buy meat I don’t eat much of it, avoid red meat and pork. Not a fan of dairy. Would be a vegan but I do eat eggs and butter so I can’t say I am vegan.
I'm mostly vegan too. I get free eggs. Butter adds flavor.
I’m really glad you did this video. Especially since this is not necessarily a Health channel. It’s just honest and down to earth. This is just something good for your core viewers maybe looking for some new habits.🤘
I liked that you were honest about the amount of food you eat. So many women on youtube show what they eat in a day and I'm like "I would starve if I ate that little." It leaves me wondering if they have seconds and just not show it.
I fast for about 15 hours. I notice that my gut is happier with a longer break from food and I'm not hungry first thing in the morning. I drink water and then a cup of tea with collagen first thing.
yeah, I was just about to write this man eats just as much as me and I eat a lot. I think I should start implementing interment fasting as I do need to curb my appetite.
I do oatmeal with extra oat milk, add a date cut up (psh I just bite it!), let that warm up my date for a minute. Then I sprinkle in cocoa powder. It’s ‘my chocolate oatmeal’, I love it! Add some chia seeds for fun. Or berries.
I’m having another baby in Sept. would love to see your ‘what I’m getting for baby’ minimal list!
God bless!!
I love that cup... That's just beautiful.
Thank you for the tips!
I have a hack that can be reduced to two words: Crock Pot. Best investment of my life hahaha
Use steel cut organic oats because regular oats are highly sprayed with glyphosate
Mr. Gabe, thanks for sharing. I'm intrigued by the evening golden milk drink idea. I did a quick web glance and see some recipes and mixes. I really like to keep things super simple, as it seems you do as well. Would you mind sharing what brand you use and was that shredded ginger root you were adding? I have inflammation and digestive issues and am looking for something simple to add to my daily, that might help.
Timely information.. looking forward to incorporating some of your suggestions.
Glad you enjoyed it
Yes, sticking to a list at the grocery store totally works for me too

Thanks 😊 for all the tips and ideas 💡
Loved this. My doctor recently suggested going on a mostly plant based diet. Struggling with it because I am throwing out too much produce. Your dinner looked and sounded simple, healthy and good. I definitely need to start making smoothies. Thanks for the video as it gives me some ideas to try and hopefully save some money!
@@billy77511 Not a chance. I'm feeling better physically than I have in a long time. I also have health issues that it greatly helps with such as kidney issues.
@@billy77511 I'm not here to argue. With all due respect I will follow the advice of my doctor. Thanks for your advice though. And I will keep it in mind.
Trust me, eating plant based seems difficult at first (breaking the old habits), but trust me when I say it gets easier! And honestly, after years of no longer eating meat, I don’t even think about it anymore. Also, our recipes have been so much more diverse and tasty, rather than how we used to eat (meat, potatoes, veggies).
Definitely keep at it! It’ll get easier :)
4:11 Gabe, my boy. That’s magnesium
I think Natural Vitality has some that are calcium and magnesium together.
Very relatable.
Trying to get back to eating oatmeal every morning. Not sure why I stopped doing that.
Hi Gabe! Thank you for this wonderful video. This is very insightful and makes me reconsider my current diet. I just find considering smoothies and a gold milk (or maybe something alternative) would help balance my diet. So, really happy to watch this!
Hi Gabe I just wanted to add another benefit of leftovers from the previous day. Things like stews and spagetti marinate as leftovers and even taste better as leftovers.
*haha love this dude, your kitchen set up and silverware looks so aesthetically pleasing idk why lol *
Great content!

Ooh love food ideas xxx
Love the video!! I’ve been curious about what you eat being frugal and minimal for awhile now! What are some other dinners you make?
I’ve done a couple of different cooking videos in the past which have some of our most common meals and then we pretty much keep it simple
@@GabeBult Awesome! Sorry I missed them, I’ll check them out!
Can I ask where is your water filtration from? I am looking to purchase something that is better sustaining for the environment. I drink tons of water and buying bottled water is something I would like to minimize. Thank you in advance.
Healthy, cheap, and filling.

Watch for arsenic in rice. Idk if it's enough to matter, but wanted to alert ppl who didn't know. Quinoa has less and Oats have less and Amaranth and some other Grains. Also, white rice has less arsenic than brown rice. I used to eat white rice every single day and after several months I got really sick...and the neurologist found arsenic in my urine in high amounts which she found very odd.
You are very consistent. Congrats, that is not an easy feat. 😊
Absolutely love this! My best friend actually does batch cooking of healthy foods once a week and has been inviting me over every Sunday morning for a month now
It's been mutually beneficial because we both have batches of healthy food, cooking clean up is a team effort, and it's a great social time for chatting and laughing together!
And I'm not the greatest cook, nor do I like cooking, but I've been enjoying this new routine and have been learning lots! 😊
I love it. thank you for sharing healthy meals ideas. Could you please share a link of the golden milk which you drink at night.
too bad some people work tho
great video gabe
I loved this video, thanks for sharing! What do you eat for your bedtime snack?
Normally just a little bit more of leftovers it depends on what’s around
@@GabeBult Thanks for answering my question! 😃
You don't get to say "healthy" when you're talking about chicken eggs and cow meat. That's some of the nastiest stuff for nutrition.
And when we're talking about protein it should be beans that are the first thing coming to mind. Which are way more nutritious and filling and affordable.
Your opinion. You do you.
Great video, I have Oatmeal every day with almond milk nuts cranberry (sometimes banana ) and honey. I could eat it every meal lol, it's cheap and very good for you 👍
I relate to you a lot. I'm adhd and I have a really hard time being more disciplined with my eating habits. I've never tried intermittent fasting, but I might try it. I have quite a bit of digestive issues so I think it might be nice to try something new.
Hey, I also use Butcher Box! Glad to see it mentioned here.

What is the recipe for the turmeric drink
Usually golden turmeric milk is about a cup of milk or almond milk a tablespoon of turmeric and a tablespoon of honey just ever so slightly heated
It’s just about my lifestyle that have been doing for a while. Been a military retiree kind of make you stick with what works for you.
❤great tips, life style.
I knew a lady who raised race horses. She was careful not to give her horses too many oats, because she said it weakened their bones.
Didn't know that. But remember animal species eat, need and tolerate radically different foods, so its not an automatic the same applies to humans. Lots of things we eat but many of our pets cant. But this is good knowledge for people who actually keep horses (otherwise not very related to the video, besides that oatmeal was mentioned)
Compost your food waste!
then feed it to caged free range animal that die for our plate nessesarily
Meredith should do a video on the meal planning and cooking.
Just found your videos and love what you have to say, your outlook and that you get Butcher Box!! Lol, we get it also and it is great meat!!!
Going to try that golden milk. Thanks from across the pond👍🏾
You're nearly there Tesla wise!!

Intrigued about the Tumeric drink I might give this a go abd get back on my fasting life lol
It’s wicked good
@@GabeBult Thank you 😊 Awesome video as always 👍
I hate turmeric so I bought it in capsules. I take it in the morning but maybe I'll try it in the evening.
I start the day with oatmeal

Hey! For someone who claims to be a tight wad you eat pretty damn good, I'm impressed.....BTW! Thanks for giving me an idea what I can do with Butcher Box chicken breast, like shredding them because they are tough as nails to cook.....
How you are cracking eggs is funny🤣
Hah, I have a Berkey as well.. well a DIY version of it with authentic Berkey filters :) Glad we came to the same conclusion on the most economic way to have healthy drinking water :) We drink Great Value instant coffee.. 8oz of crystals for $2.98 :)
I love your videos and enjoyed hearing about the meals you typically make. I feel culturally obligated to ask if you warmed those tortillas. I know its an extra step but it really changes the flavor and texture to warm them a little. Let me know what you think :)
Yea I normally warm them up for a few sec
I’m a fan of KOS protein powder, just as a point of interest.
Love all this. What brand of tumeric do you use/like? I’d like to add this in.
Anyone know a good recipe for Gabe’s golden milk? Sounds so good. Loved this video. Also they’re becoming parents anyway now. 😭🥰 [/weirdstalkyness]
Another Ad posted as a CZcams. Fun to notice how the minimalist closet is getting stuffed. He must have forgot to check the background again. Fun to watch for the obvious contradictions.
nice! do you also have a minimalist exercise plan?
I’m so glad my daughter is a homesteader. I get grass fed beef and eggs from her farm. I eat 2MAD since I’ve been doing the intentional living.
Saving money and loosing weight!
Man those tacos look bomb, gotta try those
They are wicked good
LOL. I love your channel; buy it always laugh when people talk about humanely raised meat. How is killing an animal in anyway humane?
You should eat breakfast, you're eating a lot of food during the day.youre not saving any calories by fasting as you are making up for them during the day🤔
1:54 poor egg 😂😂😂
What’s your favorite recipe for golden tea? I’d like to start drinking this.
More than a father....be the greatest Dad.
I assume that he is going to make a really great Tesla video when he finally hits 500k subscribers. Will be good to see him hit that goal.
The way he dropped that egg though 😂😂😂
Not everyone can afford the free range or grass fed products
Aldi free range eggs are cheaper than their regular eggs right now.
Butcher box is expensive. I buy directly from a local ranch and get it cheaper.

free range exploited animal
I get that, poverty doesn't give one many choices. You do the best with what you actually cant. I still think those who can afford it should choose more ethical animal products (and they are probably more healthy too). Ideally there should be legal changes across the whole branch. I felt terrible on a vegan diet so I dont blame someone for not going vegan either. And even when just eating less meat than normal I had my energy gradually and clearly fade over several weeks, and more stomach aches the whole time. NOT my body getting more used to it. But for those who can be perfectly healthy on a plant based diet (I dont think several days of feeling miserable or having clearly lower energy is acceptable either) that may be something to consider too
That’s an interesting way to look at it - just cook 3 times a week! Will give that a go.
Breakfast..lunch or dinner..we add turmeric all the time in India 😂
Respect for keepin it real...JUSTSUBBED #TESLA 😅👊🏿💪🏾🤘🏾 ROCK ON BRO
Intrigued about the golden milk. So it’s just oat milk mixed with turmeric??
What time do you work out while intermittent fasting?
Guy.. If the animal died in the same slaughterhouse is not human.. Is still a dead animal tho 👀
What is it with teslas 😭 they are so unreliable and break down so often!

I just have to know where you found those coffee mugs??
I would love to have that journal you use called the one thing ( if I could find it online but,) I sure can't can you give us a link to it brother?
could not get the butcher box link to work. i searched for it and looked into it but do not know how to acknowledge your channel was how i found them
I have to ask...what is the paint color of your kitchen

Thank you for not supporting factory farming 🥰

:40-:55 .."no bible, no breakfast, no read, no feed"....my mantra for years...Job 23:12
What’s ?
Great video Gabe, I would say though to get the anti inflammatory benefits from turmeric needs huge amounts. More than someone can reasonably eat in a day. You can buy the refined active ingredient Curcumin though which as been very effective for me.
This in incorrect. In order to aid absorption, adding cracked black pepper can help. Supplements don't work as well as eating turmeric. Take a look at the scientific papers it's interesting stuff 👍 Placebo effect though? That's also real, so if you believe the supplement works for you that's not an issue.
