I have just dug out and smelled Kenzo Jungle Homme again and find it almost incomprehensible that you would compare it to Tiger. Jungle is a very light spicy amber and Tiger is a smoky vetiver with a kumquat jasmine opening. Jasmine is actually overdosed in this scent and makes this a very expensive formula. As a vetiver-themed fragrance (that was our goal, a Zoologist vetiver scent), too much other ingredients would steal the spotlight for vetiver, on the other hand, the dry down of a vetiver-themed scent is, well, vetiver and other resinous base materials. People who are used to vetiver scents therefore might find it too familiar and not exciting.

No lies 😜 Vetiver fragrances are always challenging to design. We spent a few years tweaking the formula, so much so I was afraid the perfumer’s company might ask me to stop. Spray it wide and big for the THX full screen experience 😏
Let Tiger get into its dry down ...by hour two it really reminds me of Kenzo Jungle Pour Homme ... just one 🐏 opinion

Yesterday I missed the opportunity of getting another backup bottle. A bottle of one of my favourite fragrances, definitely one of the best fragrances made in the last 50 years, yeah it's a Guerlain. 100ml 1994 bottle of Héritage. The seller got on my nerves. I just didn't want to do a deal with him. Missed opportunity. Ef it. Keep on hunting.
Just now whilst watching this video, God I can't believe my luck again. Just got a 97ml bottle of Habit Rouge Eau de Cologne from 1985! There's more, I'm lost for words, a Premier Edition 100ml bottle of ANTAEUS (1981)!

@@RamseytheRam That's ok! True fragheads want olfactory art, but as a very feminine woman with a busy social calendar, I don't want to spend my entire fragrance budget on perfume that will actually make me smell like a woodland creature. Sometimes but not always or even often!

I appreciate you indulging those of us who prefer reviews of contemporary offerings. I’m vaguely interested in vintage, but like the one you mentioned as your SOTD in this video, they’re often practically unavailable to the average buyer. Maybe that could be your guideline: If I review this and someone likes what they hear, could they find a bottle at a semi-reasonable price? If not, it’s like listening to a review of something that for all intents and purposes doesn’t exist for us, you know?
T-Rex is the only Zoologist I’ve liked. Sacred Scarab’s red wine note is striking, though I passed on it because I knew it would rarely win the fierce fight for my daily choice.

I love this channel but the vintage stuff feels so inaccessible to a newcomer that it really does feel like listening to reviews of fictional stuff we can’t actually buy or even try. Maybe some guidance on how to find a specific perfume you’re reviewing.
But tell me to put a sock in it if this unsolicited advice and requests are irksome. You’re one of two channels I watch, so definitely not trying to be a dick.

No I get what you are saying ... i will say this the biggest thing about hunting down vintages is patience and constant looking and researching
I found that Jean Charles de Castelbajac I wore as my SOTD yesterday with one ebay search and Bam it was there so I pounced.
Also I buy all my frags blind for the most part so if I see a bottle I am after i jump on it... also dont over look minis its a great way to sample hard to find perfume.
And the fact that there are no reviews or its hard to find is exactly the kind of content I want to do the channel so just be prepared for much much more of that 🤌🤌🤌
@@RamseytheRam Minis are a great idea. I don’t have any and I remember Rich Mitch displaying his collection of them once and it was awesome.
When I first got into fragrances and started encountering the usual rules old heads give newbies, one was “Avoid eBay: fakes abound.” But maybe people aren’t bothering to make fake Jean Charles de Castlebajac when the real money would be in fake popular designers.
I’m all about hearing of uncelebrated stuff other reviewers are ignoring, but only if I have a chance to try the stuff myself. If something is all but unavailable now, you’re just teasing us by showing it :)
Last unsolicited idea of the day: A rundown of good, true EDCs. Seems to be an overlooked concentration overall, and they seem great for summer.

I buy a whole bunch on ebay and only encountered one fake... and ebay has your back if it ever happens... just dont buy creed Aventus or Chanel frags on ebay lol
