    Hi Guys ‼️
    Just wanted to say that I Subscribe to Various CZcams Channels, and when I have Multiple Notifications for New Videos as I did today (12) and your one of them, I always Save yours for Last. I Personally like the DIY Videos because I'm trying to learn about boats. Don't really care for the Scenic Videos because most channels are like, oooooh, and ahhhhh look where we are. But you kids, no matter how much knowledge you have about a repair, you put in the Work and get the job done right or at least, rightish ... lol
    Then in your exploring Videos, you give so much Background and History that you make me want to go to these places, instead of just wanting to get up and change the channel. And don't get me started on your Cooking. You tell us how to prepare the recipe, what Country it comes from and everything Looks So Delicious‼️
    Hell, I Love Meat and I didn't even realize until you mentioned in a recent Video that your Vegetarian. That's how Good and Tasty Everything looks to me. And this is why I Save You for last‼️
    Sorry for being so long winded. I'm very Happy that this time around is a better experience for you.
    Keep Up the Great Work, Stay Safe ... And Keep Living Your Dreams ‼️ 🙂

    I’m so glad you enjoyed the rendezvous! Looked like you had a great time and how nice to get to meet lots of people who are doing the same thing you are doing! Also, so rewarding to be able to give tips and info to people thinking about doing the Great Loop! Keep traveling safe and I look forward to the next video!

    Fantastic event from what you've said. I must admit to being a tad envious of all your inland waterways to explore, alas inland Australia has a distinct lack of H2o, glad you both enjoyed the event, stay safe, fair winds.

      @SchoandJo  Před 2 lety +1

      Haha different adventures going inland in Australia 😁 We loved our trip into the Outback, so beautiful but very different then the Great Loop 😁 Although one day we'd like to do the Great Lap around Australia!

    Hooray.... well made decision on the Rendezvous, Now its up the Chesapeake and into the river system. I think you will enjoy the size of your boat more then. You have done well and I wondered how many loopers your age were in attendance? Enjoy and keep it up.

    • @SchoandJo
      @SchoandJo  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Buck! We were the youngest in attendance, and I believe the only under 40. There were a few couples under 50 and the rest up and up 😁

    What would be the percentages of the types of boats that are doing the loop? For example, trawlers vs. motor yachts vs. sailboats?

    • @SchoandJo
      @SchoandJo  Před 2 lety

      Hmm this is all very speculative but you may get more specific information from Kim (director of the AGLCA). 1% sailboats, 59% trawlers, 40% motor yachts?

    • @MariaLanger
      @MariaLanger Před 2 lety +1

      That’s one of the things that turned me off about the AGLCA: you pay to join and then you just keep paying for everything. I attended the Spring 2021 virtual rendezvous and did learn a lot, though. I’ve done two segments of the loop as crew and start my own journey in my own boat in October, but I’ve let my membership lapse for other reasons. The are other good sources of info on the Web - Waterway Guide, MTOA, TugNuts, and Looper videos/blogs like this - and they don’t leave me feeling like I’m just a revenue source for a club that cares more about its pelf than members. (Yeah, those other reasons were pretty serious.)

    • @captainrosie6738
      @captainrosie6738 Před 2 lety

      @@MariaLanger I have done the east coast part of the loop already and I like to just go slow (trawler) and figure stuff out on my own.

      I seen a few comments on the cost but I haven’t seen where anyone actually said how much. Seems like there are so many posting their trip that my penny pinching self would have a hard time spending the money. Then again I’m not really sure what the price actually is.
