In this episode of Adventures with Purpose, we travel over 3000 from home in search of 10-15 cars underwater in a Pennsylvania Quarry in Quakertown, only to be duped, leaving us finding but one, 1975 Ford Thunderbird missing over 40-years.

Our goal is always to pull these cars out of the environment when we find them underwater.
But this time...
The car was just to much of a rust bucket after sitting just 5' underwater for 40+ years.
Hard to see for as murky as it was.
But try to see...
How swiss cheesy the metal is on the Thunderbird after being underwater for over 40 years.
Why was the car in the quarry?
True crime for sure, be it stolen or auto insurance fraud.

âHeâs going to eat the boat samâ odly they help so much with depression
Just wanted to give words of encouragement Lynn Palmer. I dont you but just remember your worthy of better feelings and love! Fight hard threw all those tough day. Your not alone prayers will be said for you now on this day. Find your calling find what makes you happy because it will make you glow with happiness. It's not easy lots of two steps forward and three back days.
Just know this journey is your own and nobody can make it for you or tell you how.
Love and be kind to others Lynn P.
GOD BLESS
We have all been tested this year...just take one day at a time and try to make each day better better then the one before, keep a positive mind set...positive thinking brings positive results...Take care
@@nick-sn4ol Thank you so much for your kind words. Depression is part of what is happening to me, you see I am in end-stage COPD Hospice comes in 3-4 times a week, plus living alone, geez my daughter and her family live literally 2 mins drive away from me, and I hardly see them, unless I'm called to babysit overnight like you said the darn pandemic IS terrible!!! I just want all this to end. Thank you for allowing me to vent a little, you were a blessing to me.
Sometimes just actually finding something and verifying nobody is inside/still inside is just as powerful as pulling up an old ruined car. This car is virtually part of the environment and part of the ecosystem now. Thank yall for taking the time to locate it even if it wasnt exactly what you was expecting!
I absolutely love it when you and Sam join forces to look for things. You guys make a great team
OMG, I've such fond memories of those, "Tanks!"
I had a 1973 Ford Thunderbird, that same color of blue, w /black/black interior. He had a loaded 75 Burgundy T-bird I preferred driving. BOTH had 460 V-8 engines, and I adored them.
I don't condone street racing, it's how many people lose their lives.
Yes - I'm guilty of racing the T-Birds for bets & did well, because I was the only one who raced T-Birds at all! Because the're 5,000 lb cars, people thought I'd no chance of beating them. I only raced stock cars, no mods. I'd drive the 73 to HS during the day, was always chosen over friend w/Firebird. I'd had Driving School & dad taught me how to race, race, by 16.
Competition always chose me w/heavier car. I switched to burgundy T-Bird at night, because she was immaculately tuned w/Holly 4 barrel, etc. I masked both car's engines in sip mode. When flag dropped - Everyone wondered why they suddenly heard the sudden roar of that engine, as the Holly 4 barrels opened up suddenly in 2nd, as I flew past the other car! I'd open the sun roof, as I pulled in front of them, tapped brakes, then slowed us down, as I put my hand through the roof & my signature, "flaming Thunderbird flip off," with lighter in hand! The other driver would usually laugh then, or later, as we all got drunk. Yeah, I don't condone underaged drinking, either.
By graduation? 3 friends were found in rivers: two, accidental drowning when car flipped over in 2' of water, seatbelts held her & bf under water while unconscious. They were in a hurry, lost control.
The other girl drove her car off a bridge, in front of everyone, after a bad break up minutes earlier.
Please, take the keys away from a friend in Suicidal mode! Be there, listen, get them help! Remember, it's a permanent solution to a passing emotion.
There's a rumor of a Quarry near Birdsboro, PA. Having a steam locomotive at the bottom of it. When I saw this video it immediately reminded me of it, quite interesting that these two things are relatively close together...
5:20 That's a slug
Also, can confirm, enormous snapping turtles in the area. By the firehouse in Plymouth Meeting there is one that's about 2.5 feet wide 3 feet nose to tail. My friends and I have hooked it a few times fishing.
Now that's bigger than the massive one we had on our farm.
âWith a sucky suckyâ that got me laughing haha
Not sure why tey were so excited, we all got one of those ourself.
Rightđđđ€Łđ
It's a slug! A snail without a shell. Perfectly harmless. Lol. You guys are having too much fun. I miss the goofiness you and Sam had. â€ïžđ€

It's a Leetch lol
Yep itâs a leech
I love the way Jared and Sam work together. You guys are funny
I think you guys are awesome. I'm sure the families that you help are very grateful for everything you do. I want to thank you myself for all you do. You are gold in the hearts that you help.
My son got to meet you today and it made his day . We've enjoyed your videos for years. Also thanks for taking a picture with him.
The comments are switching back and forth between leeches and cars. This vid cracked me up! đ

Definitely a 75 thunderbird. 45 years old. No wonder it was disintegrating . amazing find!!
Sam was so nervous when you said you had lunch for him.. đ Hahha
Watching you and Sam hang out together is hilarious! Also, I like the principle of the fault of something breaking landing on whoever touched it last. Can't wait for all the great videos to come!
You need to go to Ohio river the silver bridge fell at Christmas time in 1964 with the bridge full of cars they are still in the water It would be Great if you could find all of them.
I heard about that. It would be awesome. Louisville, KY could have some âmafia dumpsâ in the Ohio River.
It was soo awesome hanging out with you guys for 2 days thank you all for that opportunity Wesley
Thanks Wes. Canât wait for the video to come out with you and your boys in it.
Maybe you could have 2 teams. A vehicle recovery team and a C.U.T.E. cleaning up the environment team.
For sure.. great idea
@@AdventuresWithPurpose Hello!!!đđđ
Give Jiggin' With Jordan, DALLMYD, and Yappy. Those three lads are on a mission to clean up US waterways.
That's why Britain, Jeremy, Adam and others team up with Jared and the gang from time to time.đ
Jared is DEFINITELY team CUTE đ
There's a car in a popular lake in the capital city of Kansas that I said something about awhile back. That would probably be the same case. Too rusty to pull out. When sonar was ran on the lake a few years ago, the car was found by the damn and it was said that it was a car with "fins". Reason for the Sheriff running sonar was because of a 70s model oldsmobile accidentally found by a boat ramp with someone inside.
âDoesnât that look like a tractor?â No, that looks like a kitty cat.
I can never see anything in those sonar images.
Jared: I ramble long enough
Sam: duh đ€·ââïžđ
I have followed you all the way through from the before beginning of S....Progress, faithfulness to your heart, dedication to these families, dedication to the current crew, people volunteering to assist during your CZcams, God's grace and God's judgement is all that matters in the end. Doug,Josh, Carson and you are amazing. Keep it up!
I wish the newer episodes were with Jared and Sam. Together, they make a more pleasant watching experience! Love the lighthearted banter.
Even when you guys don't find cars you are a great bunch to watch.
You guys seem to keep your sense of humor and have some fun even in the face of disappointment. When it turns out to be a false lead like this do you start looking at other bodies of water to try your luck?
Thank you very much to the whole team for your service!!!
Anything Will Patton does has gotta be good. Love his voice!
That looks like the nose off a early 70's Ford, maybe a Ranchero.
If it had a back seat then maybe a mercury monarch
Great videos guys
Keep em coming
100% a 75 ford thunder bird
My husband came to see what I was watching because I said out loud don't you eat that for five bucks đ
Quakertown Brickyard!! I grew up about a mile from there. Mountain biked and flew RC floatplanes from there! Used to be a lot of dirt bike, jeeping, and mud bogging in there and back through the woods. American Olean Tile company used to be based around there in those old factory buildings. They filled a lot in for those townhomes down at the end of the second pond you were at. Place was always a dumping ground for appliances and junker cars for years, surprised you didn't find more.
yup, that's a leech; not all leeches are created equal....LOL. gotta watch for Lampreys too....my state of PA is full of 'sucky' surprises...lol

I forgot about this channel Iâm glad CZcams recommended it to me I miss watching these videos but now Iâm here đ€đ»
That looks like the front of a 1973-76 Ford Thunderbird. I can't see the back of the car so, I can't tell for sure. The 1973 had the same front but, the 5 mph bumper wasn't on the 1973 in the rear. That car was on the same chassis as the Lincoln Mark IV and I think the 460 cu. in. engine was standard. The 1977-79 Thunderbird and Mercury Cougar was on the same chassis. Great video!
Sending đ hope you All are having a blast with your travel. Most of all stay safe.
Absolutely Love you guys and forever grateful
If its dropping off like a truck on the back it very well could be a Mercury cougar from 74-79 it would have a nose almost exactly the same as a Thunderbird and it would be the same size at the Thunderbird and Cougar were on the same frame and chassis platform
The older ones have a Bob tail yes
I love your videos man. Itâs amazing what all you guys can find. I have a huge fear of Submechanophobia, but I feel this would be my dream job! If you ever need help identifying an older car let me know! I love working on old cars and have a huge passion for the classics! Take care and have a blessed day!
Jared, you say "Pop" too! , Yeah, here in PA, alot of people say "Soda" I'm still going to call "Soda", "Pop". I don't know, I'm from Washington State, it's "POP"!!!!! Lol
My Mom called it "pop"!( Minnesota)
Wow, right in my backyard, sorta kinda, more like 15 minutes away. But still, i know them brick yards well and had a call years ago to pull a truck out of there that slide in sideways. I would definitely not eat anything from out of there. There is no telling how polluted that is. Sorry i missed you while you were in town. Would have loved to have met you guys.
You guys are amazing. I just started watching and I cant quit
YES A LEACH!!!
Thanks for posting another video so soon. I was at work starting to doze off. You gave me my second wind and woke me up.

When you said i m going to stick my hand a little further, i remembered the snapping turtles part.đ
Been watching your channel since i saw the video where you pulled out that mid 60's Mk II Jag'. I enjoy watching the satisfaction on how ponds and river's get easily cleaned. I also respect your effort on solving cold case's and helping people out. Hats off to you lad, also you plan on making another car detailing again? XD
Our next detailing will be of the Snowcat with a restoration series.
@@AdventuresWithPurpose Good luck on that snowcat project. That is an enormous undertaking!
I have went to a paylake for most of my life and half of the lake has went from 6-8 feet deep to 6-8 inches deep from sediment build up in the last 25 years. So it's possible that years ago that could have been deep enough to sink cars and they are just burried now
For finding leeches on you after wading through a pond I recommend the movie "Stand by me" đ€Ł
The hubs old fishing grounds. Thanks for a day of exciting stories!
I was just binge watching old videos when this one popped up so you know I had to watch it.
1975 Ford Thunderbird. Someone told him it was a boat, so he tried.
Poor Sam looked terrified when you said you had lunch for him đ€Łđ€Ł
I like Sam. I subscribed to him just now. Now with some schools still giving students the option of virtual learning, I think you and Sam are about to get even more subscriptions. I have never seen such a channel that is owned by a man who REALLY goes beyond the call of duty. I think you could've got that car out I believe they have a boxed steel full frame.at least try just for the environmental reasons. Without really knowing how long its been down their but they are heavy long cars similar to the Lincoln continental.they definitely don't make them today as did then..still awesome to watch all that you all do..!!!...be safe....
Keep up what you are doing itâs good for the environment and you bring closer to families
I believe your little critter was what they call a planaria. Similar look to a leech but a little different animal.
Getting closer . I'm just north of there in New York state.

Very cool. Sorry you couldn't bring it up. I don't think it's a firebird though. I get the idea of a 70s gmc. Thank you for sharing â„â„â„
