Great information. Thank you. The Carex Muskingumensis is named after the sedge along the Muskingum River in Ohio, which is a Native American name pronounced like running Musk, King, and Gum all together Muskingum, Muskingumensis. My grandparents met at Muskingum University in Ohio; that's the only reason I know that words pronunciation. I think I'll go get some Carex Muskingumensis for my yard, now that I know about it, thanks to you. I appreciate your information and insight, and will use your recommendations. Thank you.

Hi. Loved this video, maybe the best one you have done. In the past I have planted too many thuggish grasses. Many thanks for the tips 😊

Some great ideas! I understand what you are saying in terms of transparency, structure and balancing moisture and shade, and why you placed the plants against the shade-producing background but couldn’t easily see the completed scheme against the trees and field in sunshine!

Such a shame NZ doesnt care much for grasses.
We have only carex and phormiums, flax.
Theyre worried about grasses being invasive.
Even developed a weevil to attack budleias, would you believe it!!!!
Ive only ever seennone other budleia in my neck of the woods.
Id love to add some grasses, theyre such a great texture and moving part of any landscape.
    Jo😊

Try using other graminoid perennials, so ones that have grasslike foliage and flower such as Libertia which is a NZ native also
