    Really appreciate your videos man. I finally found myself at a point in life at 32yo where I could get into dirt bikes and I bought a yz125 to learn on. Your videos have been so valuable, I hope you continue uploads forever man!

      Ahh nice! Excited to test these out today. They do look tacky once on the bike

    Great video explaining gearing. I’ve got a 2009 crf250R that I change from 14/50 to 14/52 for doing woods riding and enduro because the bike was so easy to stall and hard to go slow with the 52. But now I’m moving to motocross and worried my bike won’t have the pull and ability to rev each gear out to clear a jump because I have to shift so often now.

      For sure. It wouldnt hurt to go back to closer to stock gearing for the track.

    Very good video again. I subscribed to your channel as here is so much good info for mx bikes setup etc. I’m a heavier rider so I use shorter gearing. I get also more traction because some extra weight but also because I ride mostly on sand tracks and use special rear sand tyre with a lot of traction.

      Thanks and welcome aboard! Right on, them scoop sand tires really hook up good. I tried one on a 450 and that thing was doing wheels in the sand lol

      @@UpAllNight91 Yes, sand specific tires are like night and day difference. My Husky TC250 two stroke accelerates like a rocket when the rear tire is new. 😀

      @@jannep6772 Right! Looks like I will be racing Sunday (I4MX at Motobros Punta Gorda). I just installed some brand new MX34's on the YZ250, hoping it will hook like that!

    Great vid. I’ve got a crf 450rx and I ride rocky single track in the northeast. Stock is 13/50. What’s your advice on slowing the bike down in low gears for technical terrain?

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  Před rokem

      Hello. I don't have any experience in that type of terrain but if I was looking to slow a bike down for tighter stuff I would start by adding teeth to the rear sprocket. I would avoid removing teeth from the front as long as I can because a smaller front sprocket wears out the chain slider quicker. I would try my best to get what I'm looking for with mainly rear sprocket changes, paying attention to the handling as well as the way the gears feel .

    If you want stability on that bike drop the forks in the tree 3mm
