    This is my ultimate favorite. I had a 1993 model back in 2005 two tone black and grey, gold trim with 123,000 miles on the stick. Kept it for two years. Regret to sell it but had to because of hardtimes. I had great memories. That it is hard to find one now in great condition with a rear wheel drive layout.

    So in love with this car. The attention to detail is SUPERB. The interior shapes, color schemes, leather stitching, the amazingly contoured seats, and everything just scream years of R&D and meticulous attention to detail. The depth of the exhaust note at idle, the sound of the engine, and the overall refinement of the drivetrain are phenomenal on this car. It's the sum of the small details that I think put this car ahead of the q45 and LS430 in character (I've spent significant time in both and liked them both very much), though they easily won the power battle. It's just a shame this car was a secret so well kept.

    • @Schaefft
      @Schaefft Před 9 lety +5

      +jay92889 I wouldn't say it tops the Q45 as an overall package, even though I can't say I have any experience with these cars unfortunately. It easily is the best looking of all 3 (4 if you count the Legend) and I would love to own one. All 4 of them actually. Very underrated.

    I had this exact car except for the solar panel in a purple color with gold accents. Unbelievably beautiful car to drive and own but more and more expensive to own and fix as time went on. Very hard to find any kind of aftermarket parts and Mazdas parts for even things like struts was enormously expensive. Broke my heart to sell it.

      My experience exactly. The beginning of the end for me was the cost of replacing a headlight lens ($650 in about 1995, a fortune). I sold it before I had to change the timing belt.

    I used to like this car because it looked good inside and outside and was much cheaper then other Japanese/German big luxury sedan rivals but they are horrible in the reliability. Two of my friends had these and motors didn't last past 100k and they were both plagued with numerous electrical gremlins and horrible part quality like power steering pumps for example

    Kind of funny how the solar panel is built into the sunroof so if it's closed it will operate the fan to keep the car cool... Yet, if you left it open, there'd be no power for the fan, but the mere fact of having the sun roof open would keep the car cool on it's own! Haha.

    • @sailordave1000
