  • “Should I use progesterone?” This is a question I get all the time from my patients or in the comments section on my CZcams channel. I had three miscarriages had low progesterone when I demanded the bloodwork on the last one before it was lost. Added progesterone on fourth pregnancy from 2DPO. Boom sustained a pregnancy and my luteal phase was normal. Ovulated normal. Period normal.

      That's heartbreaking lovely, good for you for advocating for yourself and your baby! Leaves the question why your progesterone is so low, I'd try to figure out the root and work on that. When you do fall pregnant before sorting that out, then yes maybe supplement with progesterone to protect your pregnancy.

      Same here! 2 miscarriages then progesterone suppositories and sustained the pregnancy. Time is ticking on my baby clock so it was easier to just try the progesterone. I was on progesterone only birth control for almost 15 years so I think my body just got accustomed to having it supplied instead of making it. 38 yr old, PCOS, hypothyroidism, recurrent pregnancy loss at 6 weeks that is a Missed miscarriage every time. So I was grateful when I found an obgyn who freely gave me a progesterone supplement.

    Hi.. i am a huge fan of your channel. It certainly has made me more knowledgeable. I do have a a question for you. My husband is currently having covid and we were supposed to resume our TTC journey after our MM back in Sep’22 (with D&C in Oct’22). But with him having covid (only symptoms being fever 99-100 deg F) right during my fertile window has made us both very sad. Is it okay to do the deed under given condition or will it pose any issue with conceiving like less likelyhood of conceiving or future birth defects? There is not much data to understand what one must do. Any guidance is much appreciated.

    Hello Ingefleur ! I follow your advices. After the day of confirmed ovulation I had a lumbar procedure as the appointment was preconfirmed. Are these procedures known to affect fertility ? Trying to lay off the caffeine which is highly recommended post procedure.

    I had many very clear signs of estrogen dominance before getting pregnant with my daughter. Getting pregnant with her was the easiest thing in the world and the pregnancy was totally healthy. Since having her, all the signs of estrogen dominance I once had never returned. A year Into trying for baby number two, and 2 chemical pregnancies later, my doc finally put me on progesterone. I’m usually all about natural remedies, but I’m already a “geriatric” mother and I’m far healthier now than I was when I had my daughter, and yet it hasn’t helped me any. I’m guessing my age is the big contributing factor here. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Im 44 so I know there is little I can do to extend my LP without supplementing with PDG - I eat very well, exercise, plenty of rest, and do seed cycling but still unable to get past 9/11 days of a LP so the only way I can get 14 plus is by taking the suppositories after Ive confirmed ovulation via BBT check. So I have no choice but to supplement at this stage in the TTC world - id also like to note Ive had a loss already so I would really like to try and prevent that if I can. Sometimes the ROOT is just the age for a woman and part of the transition.

    Hi Ingefleur! What if breastfeeding and short luteal phase (pdg test stripts also show low progesterone). Is supplementing progesterone acceptable?

    • @FertilityHomeopath
      @FertilityHomeopath  Před rokem +2

      It depends, but I think I would wait for your hormone balance to restore itself, I think it means you haven't healed from the previous pregnancy yet. Eventually it does balance out - and I'm a fan of long term breastfeeding! - but it isn't uncommon to still be wonky after a year. Especially because we are often sleepdeprived as well which compromises progesterone. If after 1.5 yrs it's still an issue while you're not nursing as much anymore and getting sufficient sleep, then I'd look at maybe detoxing labor drugs if you had those or other solutions that resolve the underlying cause, not so much treating just the superficial symptom of low progesterone.

    Is there any side effects with progesterone cream

  • @alexanderohanlon8825
    @alexanderohanlon8825 Před 3 měsíci

    Well it sort of does fix things, bio identical progesteron that is... Firstly it kick starts youown bodys production which may rebalance you on its own, next it acts to pull estrogen out of the cells and tissues (thus returning over excited cells back to normal), but not only that it enhances the livers ability to clear the estrogen also.

    I had a miscarriage a month ago, now I’m pregnant. I had some progesterone pills leftover from a bout of post partum anxiety a year ago. I asked my naturopath and she said it’s okay to take the progesterone pills (100mgs) before bed to help with anxiety and ward off miscarriage. I’m worried if this would cause defects or prevent my body from producing normal amounts of progesterone. Didn’t take a blood test.

    Can I please ask you a question? So I am experiencing my 3rd chemical today 😢
    I am a pretty healthy 37 year old who has 7 children living.
    I keep losing the baby at right at 5 weeks.
    Do you think I would possibly have a progesterone issue? If not what could be another possibility?
    My husband and I always have conceived on the first try. I've never experienced this before and now it's just reoccurring. I pay out of pocket for everything so asking her just helps me kind of understand where to start. I do have a full rx of progesterone to try afyet ovulation that my family doctor gave me. But idk worried should I even take it if I don't know I'm deficient even though it seems likely.
    Idk I just need to hear from you because you are more like my style and how I approach things. Thank you so much for all you do for us.

    So, If I have a 28 day cycle and I typically ovulate on day 18. This indicates a short luteal phase. I have had 3 miscarriages in a row (all in the first 8 weeks) and have no living children. Thoughts?

    • @FertilityHomeopath
      @FertilityHomeopath  Před rokem

      Sadly yes that means you have a short luteal phase. The miscarriages could be related to that but I can't say for sure without taking your case. If the mc started spontaneously then yes it could be related to low progesterone production, if you have lots of chemical pregnancies then definitely, but there could also be a developmental issue. Have a look at my video on miscarriage reasons to help you further in your search for an answer and solution: czcams.com/video/k3HVLClTeVw/video.html

    • @FertilityHomeopath
      @FertilityHomeopath  Před rokem +2

      It doesn't necessarily have to cause low progesterone. Initially yes, but over time, if you manage to take care of yourself and your body and your nutrition, you'll be able to resolve that. Check out my videos on TTC when breastfeeding and another one preparing for next baby or something like that. Those two will help a lot I think!

    I've had 3 miscarriages and 1 stillbirth all due to subchorinic hematomas, i've seen specialists and they all say its just bad luck and try again. Is it possible that i've just bad luck having the same issue time and time again? I took progesterone for my last pregnancy which resulted in stillbirth and it made me gain so much weight so quickly but it did make it further than i had before.

      No, you want bio identical progesterone, the other stuff is not progesterone they're near identical versions (progestines excuse spelling it's not quite right) so they can be patented... They cause health issues and mimic estrogen more.
