I don't see how ANYONE can be upset with this. We have 5 Hives albums that spanned 15+ years that mostly danced around the same hyper punk style, and we are just now getting something a little different. It's not even THAT much of a departure. It's like being upset the Rolling Stones wrote Ruby Tuesday instead of Get Off Of My Cloud for the 100th time
+RedYellow Blue totally agree. I think this is great, and it's actually something I come back to listen to. When it comes to Hives, I usually listen to entire albums, but this song (and a few more) can actually "Stand without the others" :)
I think this song was written specifically for a witch film, I don't think their new álbum will sound like this, although I find this song to be pretty fucking awesome

Been addicted to these guys for more than a decade, and these kind of song make me think I'll keep hooked on for a long while still. I love that they manage to experiment new things, while keeping that cool Hives vibe. Some people complain, but I'm pleased the Hives make these, and not only the fast paced ones. You can't rock hard 100% of the time, you need to get smooth from time to time. Nulla salus sine the Hives !

@@calvinrice-besse6757 Saw them twice, and will see them a third time next november ! They truly are the best live band out there.
It's formulaic punk riffs on repeat coupled with stage presence high energy performace with simple lyrics that match the riffs. A tried an tested true RnR method. Worked for the stones an many other punk rock bands, while the stones is more mainstream rocknroll it's roots share the same methods.

Definitely different style. Definitely still an awesome song. Definitely classic Pelle. Garage rock is fantastic, but so is this genre. I'm not upset at all. I approve of this A LOT.
Kickin'! Has a Johnny Cash vibe and that's a good thing. A nice departure from their normal frenetic style which I love as well.

Åke Söderqvist i know but my point was that you cannot judge the pace of their next album just by this song, and even if this was meant to be in it, you still should not judge it just because of a single slowsong...
