Mawzky is just insane man. He plays like a Game Theory Optimal 1v1 Bot. Everything he does is just perfect, he dots every i and crosses every t. Every shot, every 50, every recovery, every dash. Just so calculated and executed to perfection.

RIGHT??? That's exactly how I had described him in my head as well. It's like I'm watching a super-optimized version of Nexto, who second-by-second is making the perfect neural-network prediction that leads to the best outcome.
I was realizing during the last couple games, that I think the reason for that is because Mawkzy is so incredibly experienced in 1v1, he has a perfectly tuned sense for the strength of his and the opponent's positioning. He keeps the ball out of reach of his opponent for as long as they have the potential for a counterattack, and as their position slowly deteriorates, he eventually pushes more until he scores. If he misplays or the opponent does something excellent to relieve the pressure, then he keeps the ball farther away, keeps a stronger hold on the possession, and doesn't commit as hard. It's pretty incredible to watch unfold.

Players usually look like this when they win every kickoff so hard. What we're seeing is boost superiority, and it does kinda make the defenders look much worse. But there may be no better kickoff converter in the game right now than Mawkzy, and it's now on the other top 1s players to grind up to that lvl, otherwise they will get lose badly to people like mawkzy

Zen - Just stop with the attitude (not sure what he's refering to)

    Mawkzyy - Play.

The attitude is referring to the fact that mawkzy typed "gg" in quick chat twice at the START of game 4, and I think the thing about 10000 hours is saying "Of course you want to challenge me at 3v3 instead, you have 10k hours". thanks for the translation!

Interesting to see that despite being humbled in 1v1 a couple times, Zen’s ego is still huge. Obviously, he’s still young but I think he has a lot to learn mentality wise until he can truly dominate. Until then, I’ll enjoy watching him lose while “crying” as Mawkzy put it 😂

About the disrepectful exchange between them at 28:44 : Mawkzy had an interview with a french RL streamer (FuuRy) a few days ago about that drama and said that he cried at the end of the match and was really affected by Zen's insults and behaviour during the match. The lack of respect towards an "only" 1v1 player really hit Mawkzy hard. He experiences this since a long time, but in this context, it was on another level apparently

Dude you literally wrote Mawkzy was better in everything, that immediately rendered everything you said as delusional fanboy statements. I never said Mawkzy was better at everything. I called YOU out for saying that. You're someone who doesn't see that by far the reason mawkzy won tournament was kickoff domination and NOT other forms of domination, and yet you claim to be an older player. If anything mawkzy would probably end up top 4 rather than 1st if he won 50 % of kickoffs, so it's a wild stretch that mawkzy was "better at everything". It comes back to how 1v1 works; whoever wins kickoffs, gets ball and boost and can dominate the scoreboard even against a better opponent. That's why the 1v1 tournaments needs all players to be extremely polished on kickoffs, otherwise it's just not gonna be competative, e.g. this tournament

@chaelsonnen7947 literally everything you said is opinions. There's nothing wrong with that, but I would have to totally disagree. The "best player" is all subjective and opinionated, so it's kind of pointless to discuss. Zen is currently the best player because of how successful he is in pro play and always looks like the best player on the field. Skill wise? No one plays like Zen or how well he reads the game or how easy he is to play with anyone, and the list goes on. Granted, Mawkzy is way better than 1s player, then Zen, but Mawkzy also grinds 1s religiously, whereas Zen doesn't. Also, with a series, the outcome doesn't decide who's better it only decides who is better on that day. Mawkzy was at an incredible form, whereas Zen didn't look like the same player when he played Rw9.

This is truly peak 1v1 rocket League, and the better 1s player wins.

    Zen, Mawkzy,
    Daniel, Firstkiller,
    RW9 and trk
are easily my top 6 atm.
The 6 rocket-league-cars pulling the 1v1 scene into new dimensions of genius and insanity.
Same goes for Johnnyboi and Feer.

It seemed like Zen never had a chance to win the series after the first loss. He seemed so helpless and Mawkzy looked unbeatable.
Love how Mawkzy goes for insane play after insane play and Johny finds a way to say that Zen is an insane player... xd

Mawkzy won kickoffs and zen tilted. Mawkzy is quite average in the high lvl beyond the "insane kickoff conversion". Zen is literally insane on average. We all know... all know... zen with the same hours as mawkzy would be such a crushing defeat of mawkzy. So like... wp mawkzy for winning against all these 3v3 mains, he deserves winning, but he isn't even top 20 world wide if all 3v3 pros started grinding 1s for like 2-3 months

@@Exsulator2 There is now way of really knowing if that is true. That's like a GC saying that if only they had 10k hours they would be RLCS worthy too. Yeah man, I could totally beat Zen, but I just don't wanna waste my life on RL B))) fr fr no cap.

@@Exsulator2what are you yapping about 🤣🤣🤣 he is the best playrr in 1v1 not 3v3 that it bro accept it mawkzy never claim the title of best player of rl but yall are pressed cuz ur fav player is getting shit on by mawkzy in 1s

    • @Exsulator2
      @Exsulator2 Před 8 měsíci

Not sure why you're being cringy about this tbh. But Mawkzy has never been the best 1v1 player untill maybe this day, he just lacks the track record. Rw9 is better in general. Zen is generally better. Mawkzy peaked with kickoff dominance and rolled the tournament which is impressive, but it doesn't automatically make Mawkzy best even this year. Maybe he's best this week? maybe this month? @@ny7238

It really isn't, this is a poor take. You're really gonna stand here and deny the "small pond" syndrome of 1v1 right now? All the money is in 3v3, and all the best players are there as well. When 3v3 pros got some time off they hop on over in 1v1 mode and get close to winning it despite mawkzy maining it 100 % of their time. The "big fish mawkzy" is living in a small pond, and only seems big because the competition is small. Ultimately, ask yourself this; should the best player in the mode really only be best because nobody cares to play?@@Lasair517

      Mawkzy: it’s a 1v1 tourney
Zen: try and ask me again for scrims at midnight f*cking dipsh*t
Mawkzy: in 3v3 nobody tells you you have 10k hours
      Mawkzy: wtf LMAO
