Lagrange, KY NEVER ceases to amaze me.
Very cool: work in progress at Barstow AND Revy! I had never seen a bar undercutter and had to turn to Google to find out what this one was doing. What an amazing, time- and labor-saving piece of machinery! Loved the "coyote" and the real canid (a big fox maybe?) and the musical segment at La Plata. Another great one!
You guys ought to put together a montage of all the Lagrange driver "boo-boo"s at the end of the yr!😅😅😅

That MOW Ballast Saw at Revelstoke was cool to watch. Sometimes I could use something like that on my HO Layout.
I just checked-out Barstow on Maps, to see just where the Bridge decommission is taking place (N. 1st Ave at the Yard East-end) It's interesting to see how the road has been re-routed.
27:14 We all lament the removal of the old bridge at Barstow, but I do like the improved view of the rail yard to the west.

The other two F units Keokuk junction had are now owned by RPCX (private car owners). Keokuk Junction also used three geeps prior to the line being acquired by Patriot Rail in 2018.

It looks like that spot is a "mud pumper", so probably replacing the entire sub-bed with fresh ballast to improve drainage.

I wondered why they were stopped, too.
Signals were red over red at the signal bridge near the west end of the platform. If the engineer passes the absolute signal without dispatcher authority both the engineer and conductor of the Amtrak will be relived on the spot and decertified
@@ApproachMedium66We were watching in real time too. Passing an absolute signal with red boards without authority from the dispatcher is a serious safety offense. The manifest on M1 was crossing over in front of the Amtrak in the distance to go into the yard

Part of it too is Amtrak didn’t want to unload a bunch of passengers on a narrow platform with two moving trains. That’s just as big of a safety issue
