what hits me most about this are the lyrics. bullying, sasaengs etc are such a topical issue rn and this feels like an outreach from taemin to fans and colleagues alike, like he's asking for everyone to stay strong and ok while he's gone.

I thought the same thing. all I've heard him say about it is that it's a bridge bw his solo work before and after enlistment, but it would make sense that he'd have a statement to make for ppl to keep hearing while he is gone. and everyone needs to truly listen.

Yes, simply speaking: #Taemin is the BEST. His MVs are all MASTERPIECES. His voice and dance moves...it's so AMAZING. Oh how it satisfied me to see you vibing just a few seconds in the song. 'Advice' is definitely a new sound from Taemin; It's the first time I hear him sing rap, usually another artist do it for him (i.e Black Rose) but here he is, doing it all himself AND killing it. Taemin really left us with this masterpiece to think about while he's away from the music scene for two years. Crazy, right? How can someone that's not him top that?
Anyway, you should definitely have a listening party for Advice album! It's seriously so good, the songs are so different from each other and even one of it, Strings, are praised by a YG vocal trainer because of how well he executed the song. I'm sure you'll love all the songs so it'd be really nice to see your reaction to each track.

Honestly, it's hard to find another soloist to like if you've come to terms that Taemin is your standard. There are a lot of soloist present in the industry and they are good and pretty much trained but Taemin just set the bar too high for me that I rarely get satisfied or blown, especially performance-wise.
Taemin is the definition of a top-tier soloist for me and it's hard- or impossible- to find someone like him so yeah, my loyalty will stay with him until the very end.
I don't know if ya'll realised this but the interesting thing is that it sounds like a feminine voice layered right under taemin's voice and weirdly its so satisfying, at the first listening I thought that it was high pitched version of taemin's voice but after listening more I realised that it is a female voice and taemin used that kind of female voice in idea too, but it suits legit amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
