I've watched many retractable buckle installations on these particular trailers with these same 'bent' attachment tabs. I gotta ask, why hasn't this trailer manufacturer adjusted the trailer design to fit the appropriate point to attach these improved ratchet straps most of us eventually fit to our boat trailers?

I can't believe that there isn't two bolts or a bolt and a pin to keep that add on bracket from spinning if you hit bumps on the highway? You haven't had that bracket twist? Ratcheting them up as tight as we do puts a lot of load on that mount. I have been looking at the boat buckle minis that I believe will fit without those brackets. I'm just wondering if they will be strong enough to hold the boat down? Do you have any knowledge if the minis work or not? I have a 2019 Pro 170 Tracker.

I haven't any issues at all with the G3 Mini's. They work perfectly. I've never had them budge during transport.
