Good video. Thanks. My hair has all the same characteristics as yours except I believe it is low porosity. My hair does not sink in water, and I can see beads of water that stay on the strands. I think that means I need less protein than you do. I stay away from it unless it starts feeling very soft. I don't use a leave-in currently, so I will try the lighter leave-in you suggested today. Maybe that will help! I will also try brush styling. I find it causes so much frizz for me, but maybe that is because I have not added enough moisture. I am struggling so hard! Thanks so all you do.
I already bought a small Denman brush. Would the one you recommended today be better for brush styling?
Do you have any advice/video on extremely flyaway hair? Hair that just has no weight?
First, thank you so much for these videos! I'm brand new to the CGM, as in I'm waiting for my hair to air dry from my first cg wash. There's so. Much. Gel! I'm 49 & have red, medium, low density, high porosity 3a hair. I'll be binge watching your videos for help, so, thanks again!
Thank you so much for this video, it's super helpful ✨
After watching countless curly hair tutorials, I was beginning to think that no one on CZcams could relate to having both coarse AND low density hair. This helps a lot with my own troubleshooting process. Thank you so much for sharing! I’m feeling really encouraged right now!
That makes me so happy! 🙌🏼🥰
I have both as well. It’s a crazy weird combo. Very difficult to deal with. I also have an oily scalp and skin. Also, Gena, I have anemia as well. I am IV iron treatments frequently. It is effecting my hair loss. Trying to be patient with my body and let my hair regrow.
I have this hair type to but nothing really fully moisturizes my hair its always dry
same here!
Mine is coarse, and medium density but some parts are more low in density which make me anxious
I forgot to mention, upside-down styling can tangle up coarse hair worse, especially if you have high-porosity hair because it sticks to the scalp and to itself. Upright styling is recommended for these hair types.
💯
I definitely noticed that with my hair. Thank you so much! Happy new year, God bless you
Yes!!! Upside-down styling is awful for me.
That makes total sense! I can rarely make upside down styling work for me but I see so many others having success with it. Course hair here!
I only style upside down if I'm wearing a high ponytail. Because if it's styled down, it won't go up. But then again, once it's up, it struggles to come down lol
I’m so happy to see pictures of individual hairs that look like mine! I had very straight hair until I had chemo about four years ago, so I’m very lost as to how to care for it! Your videos have helped so much because, as another commenter said, most influencers seem to have fine hair. Again, thanks for all your hard work!
Thank you so much!
I had a similar situation with hair loss due to medical treatments and medications and my hair grew back in curly too! Gena's content has been instrumental in helping me learn how to care for my curls!
Ditto with cancer treatments and turning curly! It’s crazy 63 years of stick straight hair. Bam curly!
This really sounds like my hair. It's so nice to hear someone talk about hair like mine because I've always felt like I was the only one with my hair struggles. Most hair stylists have absolutely no clue how to style my hair and I leave the salon looking worse than when i came in.
My hair is 2C/3A high density, high porosity, and a mix of textures-from fine to coarse, all the way to "wtf curl pattern even is that?!" LoL 😆 I loved this video, tyfs and I think I'll give brush styling another try on wash day 💛
I wanted to thank you for making these thorough explanations on topics that most videos don't cover. Most about coarse hair only cover 4c or even high density and none as detailed as yours.
Thank you. This is exactly the video I've needed to see for years! I apreciate all the work that must have gone in to preparing this information for us, I am so grateful!
Thank you so much! 🥰
Thank you so much, I decided to watch this video out of curiosity thinking we don't have coarse hair but now I know why the crown area of my daughter's hair tangles so much and feels rough. Amazing video
Your hard work is so very appreciated by us curly girls!! Thank you for teaching us what our hair is capable of!!!
You are so welcome! Thank you 😊
Thank you! My hair is exactly like this and looks very much like yours. It's definitely a tough combination. Super good tips!
My hair is coarse and high density. I love this video. I'm learning so much from it. Thanks! One factor in hair texture, at least for me, is ethnicity. I'm part Armenian and Armenians tend to have coarse, thick hair.
As an Albanian, I feel your pain.
😮💨
Haha. Armenian here. Can’t ever find the right products.
I always thought I had fine hair. Recently I was questioning this. Your video just confirmed my thoughts about having course hair.
thank you so much for this!! most curly routines online seem to be for fine/medium hair, this was really helpful
Thank you for this. It's very in depth and informative!!
Great video!! I have always wondered why my hair feels this way, I looked it up but couldn't find much info. THANK YOU!!
Thanks 😊
Happy new year
This was sooo helpful! I have been struggling with my hair, but this video gave me hope. Thank you!
I'm so glad! 🥰
Thank you for this video. Most of the curly "influencers" have five hair, and that it just a whole other game than having coarse hair. Unfortunately I'm allergic to fragrance, so I can't use any of your product recommendations. But I still learned something.
I totally agree! It's so hard to find resources for coarse hair.
And stay tuned for next Sunday's video, because it's using all new fragrance-free products that are great for coarse hair. 😊
Gluten free and fragrance free products please….
Normally I see you in greys and blues but that red looks amazing on you! 👍🏼 Honestly I think it even brightens your skin.
Thank you! Yeah, I love cool tones usually and white on camera but switching it up ☺️
I have been struggling with my hair since I was 13 and this was the most comprehensive video that I’ve ever seen so thank you so much I really appreciate it and I’m gonna start reading your blog so thanks
I love ouidad products. I really like the curl shaper plumping and defining cream with the vital curl gel on top. I'll have to try the coil infusion gel!
For the first time in my life, I saw someone with my hair's weird texture. I have the exact hair strands you showed. Thank you so much for explaining all of this because I have spent my entire life trying to figure out what is wrong with my hair. Nothing ever works. I can never find a product that works for me. I will try the ones you just showed. Many thanks.
I have 3b, coarse, medium density, medium porosity hair. Thank u sm for this video it was very helpful.
You are the first person I've found that addressed my hair type and issues!
My avatar pic doesn't reflect my current hair (I keep it because I love it and it shows my personality 😁).
I currently have completely natural hair - dark ash blonde, 2a2b, very coarse and wild, with those particular kinks and prone to tying itself into knots. Normal density. hiar, pretty please!, highly porous (genetic), and below my bra strap.
Nearly impossible to style. Weirdly, brushing it while dry is easier and hides the crazy coarse, kinky hairs.
I'd love more videos about this type of
Thank you Thank you Thank you 😀 I have been suspecting that I’m low porosity AND coarse…this winter transition has been so tricky, because I think I need more moisturizing product but that feels soggy by day 2-3 and then I just feel Like I have to wash and start over again. I’m excited to check out your blog post for alternative product recommendations. And you’re 💯 right about some waves or curls bending in the wrong direction and the single strand knot…honestly I thought I was the only person or something had to be wrong w my technique…it was a little crazy making. Thanks again for being a wonderful resource..
For shampoo, I recommend you try As I Am Long and Lux Shampoo, Curly Chemistry* recommended it on her channel, it’s got a high concentration of a cationic surfactant that gives hair SO much slip, I can detangle my almost waist length hair, while shampooing upside down….sounds impossible I know, but that’s the magic of cosmetic chemistry. 🤓 *The video I’m referencing from Curly Chemistry was called something like Low Porosity Products - Cheers & Happy New Year
I want to tell you that you are amazing!! Thank you for making this very very helpful videos. You explain super good! Give us so much good n important information n also links everything that we need. Wow 🤩 your videos are THE BEST!! No one like you. 😊
Aw thank you!!
I thought my hair was fine my whole life until i saw the pictures of the hair strands in your video and my hair definitely resembles yours 😅 this info is definitely gonna be useful from now on in my routine!
Loved this video great job. Your information was all so on point 👏🏼. I love a video that makes me nod my head yes, the entire time lol. My hair texture is also medium course I have medium density, Medium porosity. I also was dignosed anemic for awhile. Thankfully it has been worked out 🙌🏽.
Sounds similar to mine! 🙌🏼
@@GenaMarie yes our hair is so very very similar. I love and follow all your tricks for my own course hair. These tricks are my must and always work like magic on my hair. My hair is medium density, though I feel like I am reaching 🤗lol. My hair is out of category and more a low/medium density. With too much layering I look like have hardly any hair. My crown can also give me problems sometimes haha. Though before starting my natural hair journey. My hair was definitely less dense and I considered it to be low density.
Hi Gena I have very course textured 2c/3a high porosity thick hair and have some white hairs around mostly the front - it's very prone to frizz and tangles. I can't over moisturise, but do have to be careful not to overload with protein. Oils, butters and custards are my friends, whereas anything too humectant heavy causes issues. Mousse and straight up gels don't really work for me, but custards with more moisture give enough hold normally. I have very dry hair and a dry/eczema prone scalp, so I rarely have to worry about weighing down my hair - it needs tamed tbh. I apply oil everyday to my dry hair or a balm for smoothness. My hair actually benefits from some silicone and it took a while to realise that the reason my hair wasn't behaving, was the obsession with silicone free styling products in the curly hair community. I do clarify regularly and use a deep conditioner every second wash. I have been wearing my hair curly for several years and there has been a lot of trial and error involved in understanding what works for my hair. Tangles are a major issues (especially in the nape of the neck) and I often have to trim them out. fortunately as I have so much hair losing a few isn't an issue. I sleep on a silk pillowcase and use a bonnet, but it gets tangled anyway. Clothing, the Scottish weather and the texture of my hair mean it's just unavoidable I'm afraid. I have mobility issues and can't do upside down styling anyway. I shampoo every seven to ten days and co wash once in between - that's what works for me. Best wishes.
Thanks so much for sharing!
I am so overwhelmed with all of the information, but I think I am off to start! A few years ago, I started growing the kinky hairs at my crown and now they growing on other parts of my head. My hard water doesn’t help with the dryness 😢I’ll check out your product list despite the age of this video. Thanks!
My family has coarse wavy hair. I swear I could use mine to sew clothing. I get those kinky hairs here and there but pull them out as my hair is only 2a. It’s low porosity so I am trying to find products that don’t have protein, coconut, polyquats, etc. I’m not sure they will actually help soften my hair. So much to learn! Thank you for this info!!
Did you ever find anything that worked?? I’m looking for the same!
Awesome video ❤️
Discovering only this video now despite having watched so many videos on your channel! 😭I definitely have coarse and quite high density hair so this video is gonna be really helpful !!
Thank you so much
My hair is like that and I don't what to do so I cut my hair and when my hair grows back the same thing happened coarse and kinkle
My hair is low porosity is routine did you mention it work with me and I don't use coconut oil instead of it I use grapes oil
Thanks for the video Gena. I am a man with high porosity, thick hair, dry hair. I am seeing a ton of damage (e.g. split ends, kinks, frizz, breakage) and it seems to have gotten closer to the roots in recent months. Do you think I would have to cut off a lot and start over? I would rather avoid silicones, but it seems like products don't do anything, whether it's the natural stuff or not. Would a boar bristle brush be a good idea to distribute sebum from the scalp? I'm getting kind of disenchanted with long hair because of the challenges.
I have coarse hair medium density. very coarse and very unruly around my face and crown, most wavy & curly in those areas. 2b and 2c, 3a Been fighting it for most of my life just started wearing it natural it feels good so embrace my waves and curls after 40 years straightening and trying to look like everyone else
I absolutely love your videos 🥰 I have super thick, coarse wavy/curly hair. I just bought a TréLuxe set (Curl Definition w/Extra Moisture Bundle) Do you think that’s good for me? I saw it in another video you made.
Happy New year curlies!
Great video!! I see have A LOT to learn!!!! After relaxing (straightening) my hair for over 40 years, I like to use my hair natural, but I have NO clue. Your tips helped a lot to understand or identify my type of hair. I Googled help for coarse hair and your video came up!! Let’s see If I can succeed. I’m not that good at this as I used to go to the salon and let them do it!! My hair is very manageable, it’s coarse and high porosity. Plus I colored blonde… so… imagine how much help I need. Where are you???
I have way more hair (high porosity) and I am post menopausal and own a business. I need a faster routine. Do you have suggestions or videos for us older folks or those of us who are always on the go? 💓
Happy New Year Gena ✨
Thank you, iv told persons
my hair texture is corse !!!
Not one hair strand is the same

Using a cream is best for my hair, gel seems to stiffin ......
Scissors are my best friend when my hair tangles ..I must be an odd ball I twirl my hair with my fingers wet or dry ...
Wet or Dry your hair is "EVERYTHING" cranberry flattering your skins hue ..I apologise if I'm speaking out of tone...
Another wonderful tutorial 🤗
Have a great Sunday evening 🎆
I have fine to medium strands (very fine by my face, mixed everywhere else), density that's not quite low but not quite medium, high porosity, curly. My right side is curlier than my left side lol.
HI, I'm a new subscriber from the UK. I'm 58 in 2 months time, I had curly hair as a young child but it just turned into slight waves, I have fine hair but a lot of it, 5 years ago I under went treatment for my spine that included injections, I noticed my hair was growing through curly, I had short hair then, and 2 years I had a gastric sleeve and lost quite a lot of hair due to the surgery but when it grew back after about a year it was like baby hair and curly but does go frizzy, I have long hair now and it is bleached, my hair is very curly from half way down my scalp, from my parting to my ears its wavy, I wish it would be curly all over like yours, I use shampoo and conditioner for dry hair and I use a cream after the shower that is for curly hair which I like and my hair dries nice, I air dry my hair, but the next morning its a big ball of frizz again, there are so many products on the market at different prices and I never know what to use...........sorry for the long comment xxxxxxxx
So I have coarse and medium texture and low-medium density. I have 2C waves and 3B curls on the top and outer layers, with some 3A curls on the bottom layer. I definitely have the brittle spots and dryness at the crown. I notice that my hair is much drier on the 2nd and third day after I wash, so refreshing includes adding moisture. I don't think I have ever needed a protein treatment. I'm glad I read up on protein vs moisture in curly hair before buying Olaplex products. I had been thinking that my hair must need protein because I had never used it before and I color my roots each month, and it's HAIR, ya know. That's some money I can keep in my pocket, thankfully. I am still trying to figure out what product cocktail is best for me. One of these days...
This helps me so much
what about conditioners? I see you posted deep conditioners, so wondering what just conditioners you recommend? Thanks
Hi, how are you, I have a thick coarse hair and none of the products u listed in the description shipped to the country I'm living in currently, do u have any other suggestions, like Cantu or Maui, since they have it here in my country
I never knew I had curls, I have always had frizzy hair and I thought I just had naturally straight frizzy hair but they started appearing in May (I got a small trim) and so on, right now they look like 3a-3b curls but the roots are straight and when further down its curly ish and wavy ish at the same time? Like there are some beautiful curls at the front that I absolutely love and some around the hair but I don't know what products are right for my hair. I was thinking of buying Shea Moisture products but because of the Christmas holidays money was needed for gifts instead, but anyway, it still is really frizzy and I don't know how to treat it. I use t-shirts to dry my hair and when I take it out I let it air dry because whenever I've tried defusing I've always gotten frizz and I just don't know how to help it anymore. I apologise for the long paragraph but thank you to anyone who takes some time off their day to read this. Please give me advice.
I brush my hair out before I shower since my hair tends to get rats nests bc I do make the mistake of wearing it up a lot (I do live in a high humid and heat environment) and I know brushing the curls out wet weakens hair and can cause breakage, but brushing out after showering and conditioning just separates the curls, and I end up with tiny stringy curls. My hair actually benefits from sticking together, therefore creating those big, natural curls that don't look crunchy or too corkscrew. I'm somewhere in the medium to coarse, bc not all of my curls are uniform, and it's very frustrating, bc I can't find a haircut that can accommodate that either. ANY ADVICE, LOVES?!
Would you please share the shearing scissors you mentioned in the video ?
Thank you for your awesome videos .
Watching to try to figure out how to take care of my 8 year olds hair. I have fine straight hair. My oldest daughter has very blonde wavy course feeling hair. So I have no idea how to care for it.
Thank you for the video . Hair is so confusing hahah and especially if it’s curly .. I’m like why is my hair amazing one week then not the next ? Then it is again and the cycle continues . This all makes sense
Back when I had no idea about haircare and the science behind it, I assumed that most of my crown hair was damaged (and probably was) and I cut it in a very short layer to hopefully grow new softer hair. Boy was I wrong lol, I discovered that my crown naturally grows this very thick hair texture and it was the first to go super dry and wiry feel, despite me paying attention to my diet and exercising a lot. Now I am careful to give that part of the hair a lot of creams and oils after washing and it does help
Do you have any product recommendations for coarse dry curly hair other than curl smith products
I also have a very difficult hair combo. I’m looking for fine and coarse hair tutorials but I can’t find it. I have full hair so it’s not necessarily thin, but the individual strands are fine and some are coarse which causes a lot of breakage for me.
My hair is Lowporosity & mainly medium, so I use protein, but mainly stick to amino acids, and use "bigger" proteins more sparingly!
That's a great point!
I feel like because I have coarse hair (I also have low porosity hair) my hair doesn't get super tangled. I have type 4a hair.
Omg! I can 100% relate to this video! I have coarse, thick and alot of hair and have always been frustrated by the multitude of stray strands i see. I actually thought it could be the cuts I get because my stylist is not a curly specialist. Btw, i also swear by Briogeo deep conditioner you used in the video. Its a game changer. Is it okay to use a curl enhancing gel like Ag recoil or Uncle Funkys or does that fall in the stay away category?! Thank you for this video!! I will be watching it a few times to absorb it all. 💕💕
Yes, for sure! I'm so glad to hear it was helpful. 🥰
I can easily see my hair and feel it between my fingers but it’s also smaller than a piece of thread and compared to some of my friend’s hair it’s mush smaller. I’m confused on whether my hair would be thick or thin.
I can advise tou to the bondox, nutree is the best for me (pink jar)
Hi! I'm high density, coarse, low to normal porosity.
Thank you so helpful. Do you have budget hair products recommendations for coarse hair? Thanks!
I listed some on the blog post linked in the video's description 😊 One is the Dove gel!
Thank you! Thanks for all you do. Still learning in my curly journey. 😊
Hey Gena great video! I've been wondering how is you anemia coming along. I've been anemic for years now and I've been experiencing a lot of shedding. I'm also low in vitamin D. I'm trying my best to stay consistent with my supplements. Wish you well ❤️
Thank you so much!
I have been on iron supplements for about 4 months now. I actually go for more bloodwork this week to see if they're improving. Im going to ask to have my vitamin D checked too.
@@GenaMarie thank you so much for sharing. I hope you can keep us updated on a future video. I'm due for blood work soon too.
@@GenaMarie I relate. I was anemic due to extremely heavy periods caused by a uterine fibroid. In January 2021, my hemoglobin count dropped down to 4.5 after the heaviest period I have ever had. I ended up receiving four pints of blood. I can't tolerate iron supplements and since my levels were so low, I spent 2021 receiving iron infusions. In August, I had surgery to remove the uterine fibroid. My hemoglobin levels are now 16. Anemia is no joke and I feel for anyone dealing with it!
@@GinaMarieCheeseman I am so glad your condition improved. I used to get such terrible cycles. Mercifully I am going through menopause. Doctors drag their feet on helping us with our debilitating menstrual cycles. I never received help. I hope nowadays it is different for you gals. They don’t help much with menopause as well. I hope that changes.
Same situation here! After it was removed my periods regulated and I'm doing SO much better!
Use apple cider vinegar in a bottle with water to detox hair. Mine comes out silk smooth. Do once a month. I could not use quidad, too drying. I use shea moisture manuka honey and argan intensive shampoo and conditioner.
Can you message me and tell me if I have this type of hair? I need help I can’t tell what is going wrong
i have super coarse hair but it’s not curly it’s like so faint wavy my hair strand it very thick and it feels rough and bumpy and disgusting
My hair is coarse, medium density, wavy(2a,2b, and 2c mix), I also have receding hairline from ponytails.
Before I had my kids my hair was coarse but wavy. During my 1st pregnancy my hair started to curl. During my 2nd it really curled up! Now I have 2b-3a curls..hormones and body changes really do affect your hair (and so many other things🙄)
Yeah, I think my birth control thinned my hair. :(
This helped me figure out my texture. Do u suggest also avoiding plopping for coarse hair?
Plopping won’t hurt! The only issue I have with plopping is it can smush your hair and products onto your scalp, possibly reducing volume
@@GenaMarie thank you!
I lost a lot of weight, got off birth control, and was diagnosed with a thyroid condition all within a few months. My hair was shedding like crazy I lost at least 1/4 of it and I went from thick course hair to fine, low density, dry hair so I definitely agree that health factors plays a huge role!
Hey Gena, what is the blue brush you use at 13:00 to distribute the leave-in evenly? It doesn’t like like either of the brushes in the video description.
It’s a wet brush! It’s not exactly necessary to have two different brushes so I didn’t link it but I will link it here for you ☺️ amzn.to/3J3OCxc
Hi is a pre poo oil different from an anti frizz oil? Can you recommend some good affordable pre poo oil 🙏❤️ thank you so much for these awesome videos they’re helping me repair my curls from dying red
Yes and no! You can use a regular finishing serum as a prepoo, but it may be kinda thick. Also oils don’t usually tame frizz, only gels, hairspray, and mousse work for frizz ☺️
Here’s a prepoo oil I use: bit.ly/3ouhmbl
Another option: rstyle.me/+ORoZ5jgsi0RxXIrhxfg9dg
@@GenaMarie ok thank you so much!! I’m watching all your videos today your so informative and helpful ❤️ thank you truly! Also I’m looking for a really hydrating oil for my ends specifically because I have really coarse low porosity color damaged curls. Would a natural oil like coconut oil be a better option than a pre poo oil?
This could be due to my hair being high porosity due to permanent hair coloring (once every 3-4 months) but my hair's natural coarseness is not negatively effected by coconut oil! In fact, one of my favorite leave-in conditioners - the Curls Blueberry Bliss Reparative Leave-in, is very rich and concentrated with coconut oil in it, and I've used many other products from brands that are coconut oil-rich with very little to no negative outcomes. I am aware, however, of the strengthening properties of coconut oil and so I do recommend using it in moderation, alternating your products and oils so your hair doesn't become so strengthened that you wind up with buildup, excess brittleness, or protein overload. balance is key.
@bina nocht I already knew all of this, thanks. coconut oil has been clinically proven to aid in strengthening the hair but you get your best benefits from protein and bonding treatments, both of which I use in my routine to maintain its health.
Are mousses still okay to use for coarse hair? They make my hair look better than any curl creams I've tried so far
Yeah! As long as it's not causing dryness for you or sticky.
i have middle east hair , its very very dry and coarse and heavy . i have wavy curly hair a mix of both. i cant manage my hair
Best video I've seen ever about the subject, you cover things that I've never seen talked about on other videos. I have extremely coarse hair and I suspect is because of ferritin deficiency mainly. Great video!
I always detangle my hair dry. I'm very careful and take my time.
I am messaging in absolute desperation. Please can you help? I have protein overload accidentally used a shampoo that was not suitable for me. Am going to do an ACV rinse tomorrow (just watched your video). But lately my scalp is so damn itchy and gets greasy within a day or 2 (for the last 2 weeks) when usually my hair and scalp is on the dry side?! My hair is 2a, low perosity, medium density and i use sulphate free shampoo! I don't understand the greasy hair when I wash every 3 days sometimes later xxx
The Curlsmith Detox kit can help with those issues because it’s made to rebalance the scalp, both oily and dry. An ACV rinse will also help with an itchy scalp. A good clarifying wash then deep condition with a protein free deep conditioner will help
@@GenaMarie thankyou sis ❤️❤️❤️ i did research and watch alot of videos about my issues but there were so many products that were not available in the uk from videos that I watched I figured I would ask just in case and curl smith is available here. Ty again xxx
What would you say is the reason that hair can feel soft and conditioned when using conditioner and deep conditioner, but when you get out of the shower it already feels dry and tangly again?
Do you have buildup? Or alternatively, are you using a harsh shampoo? Just trying to think through times when my hair felt dry and tangly after washing it.
Same i wonder about that to, mine always comes out dry when I get out the shower
@@Miyahhhhhhh found out through some trial and research I was shampooing too often but also using too much protein in my products. Switched to moisturizing more and using masks and it's been better. I'm careful to only use the strengthening/protein products on occasion now as well as not using clarifying shampoos too often
@@curlygurlxo thank u, my hair is always dry but yesterday when I washed it wasn't it was soft I think because washed better than other times i and conditioned it really good.
Curly hair is a nightmare. I love your hair. I have to keep mine in a bun. I wish I could do what you do. It’s time consuming.
Do u have any tutorials using Jessicurl brand?
I don't. I need to try them still!
My hair type is thick, course, wavy, and dry but my hair hardly ever tangles and is pretty strong.
Thank you for this video! I love the fine haired curlies but “all the protein, only lightweight products, a dime size of leave-in, light hold gels, and effortless shine” does not help me!
Glad it was helpful! 🥰
I have a mixture of fine and course hair 😢
Mine is wavy kinky and course af 😢
When I had short hair, it was strong and normal. Then when my hair got long it becomes coarse
Anyone else here in the comments have additional recommendations for products with a lot of "slip"?
I listed more product recs on the blog post that's linked in the video's description box! All of those have lots of slip
@@GenaMarie i can’t find the list of products that you mentioned
at this point I just accept my hair will always be shit
Hermione hair
Who can afford all of this stuff?!?! I have a daughter that is 19 she has autism but she loves to look good. We are battling with her hair. It is very long, curly and coarse. But it is dry and brittle as well. I do my best but I just can’t afford all this stuff. 😔
I hate that I have the deal with this BS
My hair type is the devil and it obeys no one and no thing.

Would you ever do a ancestry DNA test? You’re very beautiful!
Thank you! I should!
No matter how much I comb my hair it always goes back to being coarse 💀🥲
I used to have the most perfect hair it was silky, shiny, soft and very long (I have naturally very straight hair btw) but then I bleached it just once!?! And now I have very thin, dull, frizzy and dry hair. I have always been interested in hair are but now my whole life is haircare. 🥲
(Btw I used to even use a lot of heat on my hair and it never damaged my hair but now I used heat a few times after bleaching but I am so scared of using heat I feel like it fries my already fried hair and makes my hair so coarse afterwards so now I can’t use it even if I want to.)
I think that you should try completely growing out your hair and cutting it all off so your natural hair will grow back out. Then you go back to your old routine and have the perfect hair you used to have ✨✨
