so glad you were able to fit all three trees in the arrangement (more pleasing to the eye in odd numbers)... my husband groaned when he saw what you were doing this morning because he knows this will involve a walk in our woods today!.. thanks for a great simple festive idea...
😂
😂
" My husband groaned" so funny! It made me laugh! LOL!
My husband just asked, “Do you have that kind of wire?” Knowing full well before I even finished watching the video that I’ll be trying this myself. 🥰
Girl everything you touch pertaining to the garden, even in winter, turns out amazing! Thanks for all the inspiration you’ve given me. I’ve not seen a video to date that has not been absolutely adorable. Your love of family, friends and followers is what we need in this world, more than ever! Love you guys, thank you so much! 💚
I agree-beautifully worded, Anne!
Laura: “ If I do it again I might scale it down just a little bit...”. I wonder how many of us out there were chuckling to ourselves as she said this, thinking, “Yeah, right!“ Lol 😂
What a great little project! I can’t wait to try this. They’ll be nineteen of us for Christmas Eve and I can’t wait to put one of these, (or more, as I channel my “inner Laura“) on the buffet table! Thank you for this!🙂💚
Right? Next year she’s going to have a whole forest of them on her porch or something 😁
We know you well
Scaled down never applies to you!
“Channel my ‘inner Laura,’ “ that’s me!
Laura: I may not be able to fit all 3 in the container.
Me: What?! The queen of cramming plants?! Of course all 3 can fit!
Me, a minute later with all 3 in the pot: that's my girl 😁🎄
Loved your comment ☺
😂
And they fit PERFECTLY
Love how you just "do it"! sawing, drilling, digging, augering, decorating etc. etc. Great example for all of us to just try things.
Omemee it's not hard, you can do anything you put your mind to.
When Laura says “forage” and you immediately think to yourself “I can’t wait for her annual foraging trip to the mountains with her mom!” Always one of my favorite videos!
Me, too ! I love the antiquing trips with her Mom, too.
Suggestion for keeping the trees upright is a scrap of plywood for inside the container. Put a screw up from bottom into the base of each tree trunk. This would also raise them up a bit so you could see more of the tree branches. This is a beautiful project.
So smart! Would definitely make it super sturdy and wind-resistant.
I would put the whole thing on a piece of plywood, rather than the container. You could space them out a bit, so you could see each tree better, and really play up the “forest floor” idea.
Beautiful and so creative! Another way to create a similar centerpiece, for those who don't have access to tree stumps and power drills, is to use a piece of hard styrofoam (the type used to pack shipping boxes). It can be easily cut in the shape you need for the base and painted dowel rods instead of sticks can be used to create the tree structure. Lots of moss will cover up the styrofoam easily. Artificial greens can be used as well so the arrangement can be re-used from year to year.
Nice substitute ideas .!
But I wonder if it would be too too heavy for styrofoam. If so, any ideas for stabilizing?
@@kristiemcgrew4522 Good question, that could be a problem. Maybe some hot glue in the holes, or use florist tape to hold down the styrofoam or if all else fails, I would try duck tape and run it across all of the styrofoam, securing it to the vessel. If you have green duck tape, that's great, but if not, any color duck tape is fine as the moss will cover everything as the final step in assembly.
You seem to have this magic touch not just turning ordinary items into something spectacular but also spread this holiday cheer and happiness. It’s like leading to the ultimate finale but every day is like opening a new present which is exciting. I’m sure Aarons awesome camera skills and your very talented editor is icing to the amazing Laura cake definitely part of the magic. Thank you for being the gift that keeps giving
Love this idea, and how scalable it is. Can’t wait to try it. Quick tip - hand sanitizer takes evergreen sap off your hands like magic.
Wow thanks for the tip!
dang! Speaking of creative people. Laura, you're one fantastic and talented person. You'd never done this before but look at your first try. The result is fabulous!
This turned out soooo lovely!! And: “Yes, this would look great in a mantle-sort-of-situation!!!” And we want to see it!!! 🤣🤣❤️🎄
Thank you so much for your ideas! With the flooding in BC and the new variants, I just love how you can come up with creative ideas that will completely transform the conversation into a safe comfortable place to be. It’s what so many of us need right now, You are a lifesaver.
Woodsy, earthy, natural and green. It looks like you just reached into the forest and pulled out a peaceful, wintery, storybook moment. Great imagination!
I love it!
@@youareamazing8004 Me too!!!
Oh Laura I love the way they turned out! The twinkle lights are perfect! Everything always looks good with twinkle lights right?, lol!! Thanks for sharing!
I hope Santa brings some new leopard print shoes for Christmas ☺️
What a fun and inexpensive project 🌲Thanks for sharing. God bless!
Your well-loved shoes cracked me up! Hopefully Santa was watching this episode and will surprise you with replacement shoes as an early Christmas present before you end up with open toed shoes! Sheesh! 😂
Cute, cute display as always!! I've been following you from the very beginning, and I've always admired your vision to put things together like this. So creative and you make it look so easy!
It's turned out soo good & I love the addition of the dear, Can't believe you never made it before. Wow you are soo creative lol
Adorable as usual. I love that you left it simple without all the embellishments. Little tip for removing pitch…rubbing alcohol!
Gosh this is so awesome! I’ve been looking to buy some alpine trees and now I’m just going to make exactly what I want!
Great inspiration, thank you!
So cute, scale is perfect! The lights would also look good among the moss. I envy your access to all those tools. I love to create and used to have them but apartment's living isn't amenable to saws and drills. Lol
Love how you think out loud, exactly as any of us would do. Always a pleasure to watch your creative process!
I have a juniper, use a few branches at bottom of the tree for my 2 pots by front door. Those little trees are beautiful. Love the deer standing there too.
Your energy and imagination contaminates (inspires) me (a retiree with bodily aches and pains) to do things around my house and my yard! Good vibes!
I absolutely love these trees- how long before Benjamin takes the little deer out to play with it? 😂 ❤️
This arrangement is beautiful! The brown at the bottom makes it look more realistic for an east coast woodland understory. You made it look very easy & fun to make. Thanks.
WOW I absolutely love this! It amazes me how you get random stuff from your garden and neighbors brush pile and make something so magical out of it.
Once again, you have created something super cute ! I wonder how long before you find Benjamin's cars hidden in the trees 🎄🚗🚕🚜⛟🚚🚛🚓
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I will definitely be making these. I have some beautiful hemlock, white pine, and cedar. Thank you for the great ideas! 🌲❤️🌲❤️🌲
Watching your videos is a highlight of my day. You genuinely enjoy your home, garden and life and it's so refreshing. I really love seeing how you put together these sweet projects and I kind of want to ask for tools for Christmas because they don't seem so intimidating anymore. Wishing you and yours a Happy and Healthy Holiday!
Thank you for another great video! And this is one of the reasons I love your content: Unlike most of the video makers, you’re not trying to sell me something, but instead are showing me something I can create out of what I may already have on hand! Thank you for your smile each morning, your down-to-earth manner, and your easy-going teaching style. You inspire so many.
Good Morning! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Today I start the transformation from Fall/Thanksgiving to Winter/Christmas!! Laura has given me another idea for Holiday decorating!! I love it!!!! 🦃🍁🍂🎄🎅🤶🧑🎄☃️❄
Props to you for not jumping right from Halloween to Christmas.
This is so cute. You could use rocks to help anchor the trees in place. I think the rocks could also be decorative. I can also see you adding a water feature. I love it when you get creative. Thank you for another great video. Helps while I am laid up stuck on the couch after my back surgery.
Love it the only thing I would change was to add rocks on the bottom it would add weight to the bottom you are a amazing person to see all that you do and share with us I live in fl we just don’t have all the beautiful trees and flowers 💐 you have in you garden 🪴 love it
Such a fun project! You make everything look so easy. I loved it when you put the wood between your feet your shoes were holey. Looks like time for a new pair of vans. Every time I see those shoes I think to myself, I need a pair!
I Love the results of this project! Yes! to another successful Laura display! Thank you for sharing. I am surrounded by pines & broken branches, pine cones & acorns if the squirrels haven't foraged them all. If I had an inch of creativity, I would have thought of this. I think we all get some creative streak from store displays, other social networking svcs, Facebook shares,, Pinterest, Etsy, in person craft shows/stores. Etc...something which looks so beautiful seems so easy with a little glue, & a smidgen of creativity..Haha. Have a great day All!
I love the project and I can see that putting the branches on from the bottom to the top is an easier way to go. Really cute idea.
Absolutely love these trees. You come up with the best ideas!!!
Turned out so cute, moving the short one offcenter does look so much better. I'm going to get some branches and do one in a planter for the front steps.
Great video Laura! Thanks for inspiring many people out their including me! See these little things can change HUGE things in the world and you are changing the word to be a better place! Great video!💚✨🌿
This is what I love, simple and natural. It seems to be the theme this year for many people.
Cutest project! Love the joy in your face as it comes together! Love it when these simple projects work out so well! Love your channel!!
You know, Home Depot and Lowe's always have big bins of discarded branches trimmed off their Christmas trees for sale and I'll bet I could find a nice assortment of greens and stumps from which too choose, and for free! Other than that, I've got everything I need to make this. Laura, you have the best ideas... for me to copy! Thanks for the inspiration! ~ Lisa
The trees are perfect! I just spent the past weekend decluttering all my Christmas decorations. It is more manageable for me now. I understand you have a pretty large home to decorate, so your filled up back porch looks about right! Have a great day.
Another beautiful project from you Laura! I hope you and your family had a blessed thanksgiving!❤️
I LOVE it, I think those would look so cute in my front porch railing containers! I hope everyone from the States had a fantastic and thankful thanksgiving, and have had your slice of pie for breakfast! Would it even be the day after Thanksgiving without a cup of coffee, slice of pie and festive new episode of Garden Answer??? ♥️🎄♥️
Love it! Great idea! Thank you. Love all your bins looks like my house glad someone else has so many bins. Have a great day.
Laura I love watching you do things besides gardening you are so capable! I love that you're not afraid of tools and doing the hard work! Also that your decorations are mostly natural which is hard to find on CZcams these days. Thanks for great video
Such a brilliant seasonal display!Project days are always inspiring. The process of creating is fun, including the taking apart and putting back together. Thanks for a fabulous start to my day, Laura. 🎄
You are so good at what you do, Beautiful.
They did turn out really pretty Laura!!
WHAT! Shut the front door~ Laura everything you touch turns into Gold. They are so stinking cute! I have to try this now. What a great inspiration. They are beautiful and can be enjoyed all winter long. I love them!!
Omg, I love all of the projects you do. It gives me such inspiration to do my own. I live in Massachusetts in the country and have a lot of the greens in the back yard. I love your show and is what I go to first thing to see what’s next. God bless you and your family 🙏
This was so inexpensive yet beautiful and natural. I think I'll do this with my granddaughter. Thanks 😊
I love the evergreen trees you did on the table I love the ideas you do on a table I love watching your ideas that you have have a wonderful day God bless
I'm glad you decided to do the trio after all, it's perfect! I love how it turned out, as with everything you do!!
Absolutely inspiring Laura! I have a new project for the weekend!!! Your creativity is amazing. Thank you so much for all you do! Love your videos so much.
What a gergous, natural table centerpiece! I've seen that, but using a tree truck and 5 foot artificial tree in it! You did a fantastic job!!! Love it!!!
💚💜❄❄This is gonna be fun!! I'm in the works of making all mine!! Its gonna be all so beautiful!!! I love how you filled the bottom and the deer was the cherry on top!! You know what pine reminds me of walking through the closet of The Lion the Witch and Wardrobe!!! That scene is just so fun and pretty!!!
I think Benjamin is going to want "his" deer back !
Super cute! You crack me up Laura. "A normal person would do this outside".
I think you don’t even mind dirty hands I think you are so real and you love what you do . Gardening is so good for us in so many ways ! Being close to nature lets us appreciate all of Gods wonders ! The trees came out so cute enjoy watching you create special things !
How adorable are those little guys, great project and you are such a great teacher! 🇨🇦
I love this! So easy to come up with variations, like you said, placing on a mantle. It's nice to have Winter decorations that can stay up a long time.
What a wonderful winter display. Laura, you make it all look so easy!!
Thanks for sharing.
Wow! What fresh and super cute ideas with an added bonus of gather the things from around your own property to save in cost. Thank you once again for providing us with clever fresh and easy to do projects that basically anyone could do. Many blessings and warm wishes throughout the Holidays
Just a suggestion: placing a simple antique metal star on the tall evergreen would be befitting and magical. Happy holidays from NY!
You could hear all the ideas pinging in Laura's head in her voice during that video.....love it
Laura you are so sweet when you are a bit stressed about a project. But you always do great!
I love crafting with foraged items, but I’m unsure of how to take cuttings from my evergreens without destroying their growth structure. Are there safe ways to prune off a few branches here and there? Things to avoid doing?
I just grab a pair of clippers and cut a few pieces here and there. Fine the bottom, from the back, a branch that's sticking out, etc.
A great time to tidy up the evergreens.
If you go in and under the branches you can usually clip without it being noticed.
I'm going to get them from the leftover tree clippings at lowes
So cute! I absolutely love the Pinecone star. I think that would add a beautiful touch to have each tree have a Pinecone star! Love it
Love the natural woodland look, I would think it will be so sweet for Benjamin to see that everyday on way to door!
Love the close up of your shoes. Your beloved pair that you always wear. They have seen better days. You are such a normal lady, not much emphasis on clothing or foot ware. Love that about you.
The trees turned out beautifully; I love that the three were placed together.
I’m glad you used all three trees! It turned out absolutely amazing
Good morning from Southern Maryland!
... and good morning from Western Maryland!... 💕👩🏼🌾💚🍁🍂🦃 =^..^=
Thank you for showing us the process of your tree making. Another great idea for natural Christmas decor. I really enjoy watching whatever it is you are up to.🌲
Why not add lights on your triple trellis
Give it some design.
You could put a couple heavy rocks under moss to hold everything down.
Looks gorgeous thanks for great ideas
Hope you had a blessed thanksgiving ❤️
Oh you gave me an idea!! I wanted to trim out our chimney with lights but didn't like the look. I have a diamond jasmine trellis growing up it, I should run lights up the diamonds! Thanks for such a lovely idea.
Perfect....I'm going to do this! Thanks Laura for this creative center piece idea.
Love repurposing items and using natural greens🙂
So beautiful, I may try to make some for indoors. Thank you for the wonderful idea! Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your family and friends.🦃💛 Love from London
I love these trees. This would be a fun family project to make. I’m always drawn to woodland scapes. Beautiful!
Oh! I just love this! 💚💚💚Sooo cute and absolutely perfect for that table! Laura, you are sooo talented! You finished it off perfectly with the moss, pinecones, and lil deer! And … I really love the pinecones you added on the tree! Y’all will enjoy it many times a day!
Really cute project and I LOVED your star!
I LOVE these little trees!! This is pretty doable if you have a drill. You are so creative. Just a wonderful outdoor decoration. Have a wonderful weekend!
That is so pretty and the kids will love it with the little deer 😃
Laura “I think most normal people would do this step outside”…..🤣.
I’m glad I’m not the only one that does this kind of stuff indoors.
When an artist is at work there is no normal! 😉 💚
Love all your projects! 🎄🎅
Yeah, when she said that, I thought at least she’s not at her dining table or kitchen island like I usually am in cold weather. My husband remarked the other day that most people probably don’t have to clean up saw/sanding dust from their dining room on a daily basis. 😬
Such a pretty decorative idea, which can easily be made big or small. This is a perfect tutorial that anyone can do and that is what I love about your projects.
I am always amazed at how talented you are .... What a gift to have and that you share it all with us .... is just so exceptional ..... !!! .... Thank you Laura ..... Hugs
I absolutely LOVE this project!!! Those trees turned out SOOOOO cool! (and I love the Peanuts-esque music while you were building the trees.) :D
Well done Laura!!!ltd really fantastic, and looks so natural and earthy. Many many congratulations!!!🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
You amaze me with all of your talent!! I love all of your videos, especially the creating and decorating ones!!!!
O it is just beautiful. I think it fits perfectly right there just how it is. Thank you.
This project is adorable. I loved the editing with the music playing-it was magical. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Super project! I have a big brush pile so this is a perfect project for my daughter and me when she gets home from college in 2 weeks 🥰. Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving 😊
Happy Thanksgiving guys
Hope you enjoyed your day off 🌲🍃🌳
Love this decorations that we can all make with branches. Thank you for the idea
Super beautiful Madam Laura and thank you for the idea. I'm gonna try this one. I'm making DIY decorations for my x-mas from scratch and this will help a lot. ☺️Thank you so so much.❤️
🙏🕊️❤️
one word - Brilliant !!!! once again you've created a thing of glorious beauty from "stuff" found in your garden. Doesn't get any better (or easier) than this. Thanks ever so much for sharing ...
Love those trees what a fabulous idea ,you have such a talent. ❤
I just made this and it looks so cute. My husband was impressed. I love all you craft projects.
