I like to do things a little differently around here and bring you this annual round-up in April to celebrate another full year of diamond painting, as I discovered this hobby back in April 2021. I love watching year in review videos, and being April, there aren't very many, if any, around. So thanks for doing this. I loved it. Although our tastes in diamond paintings differ quite substantially (I really dislike working on landscapes and I love portrait style and cartoon style images), I still adored this video. Happy diamond painting! ❤

@@catsdiamondpainting Exactly! It always amazing that every week DAC releases approximately 8 new canvasses, and Dreamer Designs about 4, and there are different people all loving the different canvasses. And some of the huge hits are canvasses that just don't appeal to me. So yeah, definitely interesting!

Thank you! I’m definitely getting quicker as time goes on but I look in awe at people completing 30+ a year. Just think of the money we’re saving 🤣
@@catsdiamondpainting I don't even finish half the quantity in a year that you do 🤦🏻♀️ I need to try and get myself set up in the living room so I can work on my diamond paintings in the evening as opposed to just spending a couple of hours here or there on the dining table xx

I loved wathcing your finishes. I recently completed two of the Karla Gerard paintings from DAC (Proud Owl and City Digs). They are absolutely stunning and were so much fun to complete. Both are framed and hung in my house. I love her style and am so happy you're also a fan!

This was so much fun to watch! Mind boggling actually. I’ve only been diamond painting for 2 weeks and I’m obsessed! Question: how do you get your canvases so flat? That’s my biggest struggle. I’d love to know your secret! Thank you!

Good-quality canvases tend to be malleable enough that they will lay flat, particularly once they have the weight of the drills on them. When I first open them, I flatten them by rolling them back on themselves (if they have a clear cover, meaning they’re poured glue) and also peeling the plastic cover back then laying it back down again. Hope that helps 🙂
