Would not recommend:
- retyping all notes (instead annotate lecture slides)
- don’t study just for tests ( understand concepts not just memorise)
Anatomy
- diagrams
- dissection videos
- make master tables of muscles nerves tissues and blood vessels
Physiology
- make study guides for every lecture (with review questions, make the guide only 1 page (front and back) )
Clinical medicine
- practice physical skills lots.
- normal values- make a chart of them for each species.
-watch videos.
I’m starting Vet school in a week! This is a life saver thank you!
Congratulations, that’s so exciting!! I’m glad this helped!
How’s it going
How? Do you pay for it?
How much is it?
@@keilianne2598 it depends from university to the other, but in Bulgaria it's 4500 to 5000 euro 💶
Im not in vet school but I found this super helpful even for undergrad stuff! Thank you
I’m so glad you found it helpful!! Thanks for watching!!
I’m only 14, but watching these videos really makes me look forward to being a vet!! I’m gonna try my best in school to make my dreams come true
I’m 14 as well! Going to be 15 in February and I’m so excited to start studying to become a vet!
@@empresseternity1 it’s so funny I’m 16 now, seeing this comment makes me feel happy for younger me (only by 2 years lol)
BUT YES EEE I’m excited for you!
@@sweetvanillagf Aw, that’s really cool! I hope you’re able to achieve everything you want in life! And THANK YOU!! I’m so excited too!
I love your videos! Starting vet school in the fall and have been worried about studying in new ways and this is super helpful 🙏🏻
I am currently taking Anatomy & Physiology in my Junior year of high school. Yes it is a lot of memorization & different parts to know of but at the end of it all, I love everything about it! I think it’s worth it for anyone who’s thinking of being a Vet or medical. If you study & break it down, I’m positively sure that you’ll do well! Good luck everyone!
I really needed this right now! I literally have a quiz every week for each class 😶
I feel you!! Don’t worry, you got this 💪🏼
I absolutely love your videos, they are so helpful! I’m not a full-blown vet student but I am a vet tech student and a lot of the tips still apply. Also you have an amazing personality, which makes the videos even better!
I’m so glad you’re finding the videos useful! Thanks so much for watching 🥰
Thank you for this! I start vet school in the fall and nervous because I haven’t really studied well since the pandemic!
I am in a vet assistant program online with penn foster. Next year I’ll do vet tech starting in January. Although I’m not going to vet school I am prepping myself for prevet after this vet assistant and vet tech experience. Your video is helpful as I start this new journey.
planning to become a vet really thankful for this
Thinking of going to vet school. Listening to you talk about each subject got me soooo excited! Thanks for this!
I’m glad you’re getting excited!!! Thanks for watching ☺️
Appreciate your methods and encouragement! You are an awesome peoson and will be an awesome vet!
The table idea is so smart! I just started my first semester and I'm going nuts trying to find tricks to keep up. I appreciate this 🖤
I'm so glad you found it helpful!! Good luck in your first sem, you got this!
Super interesting! I’m starting this fall, and I definitely was not expecting to be an auditory learner! Thanks for the tips!
Good luck when you start! You'll love it!
Thank u sister. Veterinary is next to Human medicine. It is so noble and more hard subject. You are dealing with patients who can't tell their pain and you have to figure it out and also correct diagnosis is important. Pls wish me all the best in my veterinary journey i am gonna start.
Thank you for this video! I am about to start my first semester of vet school and methods of studying are something I have been stressing over. Your tips and suggestions were super helpful!
Thanks for watching!! Good luck with your first semester, you got it 👏🏼
I am so happy to have found your channel. You pointed out a lot of key points , I am slowly gaining my love for the vet field once again , I unfortunately lost a lot of my passion for the vet field due to working in the field and experiencing bad experiences and work bullies . Thank you again for this video , your really helping me gain this love back which makes me so happy
I’m so sorry you lost your passion! I’m glad to be a tiny part of you finding that joy once again 🫶🏼 thanks for being here!!!
An excellent and smart studying procedure.
I’m taking animal anatomy and physiology right now and I am really struggling because classes are all virtual these days and I’m a very hands on learner 😭 so stressed rn
U good ?
Omg i feel u! My myology test was really a mess 😭😭😭

Ive just started vet school in the UK and im a month in and this is super helpful!
I’m so glad you found it helpful! Congrats on starting such an amazing journey!!
im a 1st year vet nurse student and i am struggeling so much with the anatomy course. did so many other study methods and nothing really helps to get it in my head...
do u maybe have other tips. it would mean a lot to me
im enjoying ur videos a lot!! thank you for making the time for us!
I love how you broke down three different classes in terms of what study methods worked best for you! I had a very similar experience- all I remember from Anatomy is being in that darn dissection lab even AFTER school was over! 😂Practice is KEY for those memorization classes!
No kidding, some weeks I felt like I lived in the anatomy room 😅
Winner of a video, been searching for "human anatomy and physiology introduction" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Piayilliam Uncomplex Power - (do a google search ) ? It is a good exclusive guide for discovering how to become an expert in human anatomy and physiology minus the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my neighbour got excellent success with it.
Read each paragraph slowly. Stop after each paragraph. Look up to the left or right. Try to see the paragraph in your visual memory. Say the subject and predicate of the paragraph. Don't go on to the next paragraph until you understand that paragraph. I got this idea from a straight A student. - Theodore Alexander Vegh, B.S.
Thanks for the video also.❤
Can you upload a document of examples of your study guides from anatomy & phis ?
Starting my first day of Vet School tomorrow! Thank you so much, definitely going to try these out!
Good luck and enjoy it!! It will fly by 🥰
How do you like it
I plan on going to school to become a vet tech after I finish high school! These videos are really inspiring to me. Jesus loves you and is with you always Amanda 🩷
I'm starting to study in germany with different subjects in the first year but this still felt so helpful :)
I'm glad!! Best of luck in your first year! You'll do great 😊
Thank youuuu, I really neeed it ❤️
You’re welcome!! I’m glad you found it helpful!!
I want to become a vet too. I am studying all ready even though I still have 5 years of school to do.
One thing I found out is it is so much easier if I used different colours of pens for different things.
Im not even close to being in vet school yet Im still in year 10 but I like watching videos like this just so I can get used to applying maybe similar methods to my so that when I get there I am used to it
Hi! Any chance you'd be happy to share your anatomy notes of the blood vessels and nerves? I've studied them already but your work looks so good and easy to follow for revision!
Unfortunately, I can't share my notes for copyright reasons since they contain lecture material from my professors. However, I'm in the process of making study guides for people to download! They might be released after you're done anatomy, but if not keep and eye out for those! Sorry!
I also vet student, your info is best
Thank you for your information 😀
You’re very welcome!!
I'm not applying to college now because I'm only 14 but i wana become a vet so I get anything remotely related to the being a veterinarian like video games that are only about vets or books or CZcams videos like yours so you're all your videos are super helpful thank you for making them
Aw that’s awesome!! Thanks so much for watching ☺️
Hello! Loved this video! If possible I would love to see a video going into detail of how you format and create your study guides and general notes! Any tips or trick or even what softwares you use to create your guides and notes on efficiently!
Yes for sure! When I'm back in school I'll film a video of how I make my study guides! In the meantime, I either use word or Goodnotes to make them!

Hi! Where’d you print your diagrams for anatomy? They’re so organized and clear to look at!
Some of them I just found on Google but majority came from my Anatomy textbook (Textbook of Veterinary Anatomy by Dyce)! I would just screenshot them and print them off and then label them myself!
Thank you😊
Welcome!! 😊
This is a great video. I will be sharing it with my students.
Thank you!! I hope they find it useful! ☺️

Hey! I'm 2nd semester vet med, however I failed 3 of my 11 classes, anatomy, chem and zoology... Do you have any advice on how I can tackle this? I feel more and more worthless for having failed and don't know what else I can do, I've studied a lot for zoology and anatomy. Please help :((
Thank you
You heart everyone so I hope one too :D
I'm halfway through dental school and I got interested in learning veterinary things for fun, I love your video thank you a lot.
Thanks so much for watching!! Congrats on getting half way through dental school! ☺️
Believe it or not thee is a such thing as veterinary dentist. But you first goes to veterinary school, then do a internship, and last do a veterinary residency in veterinary dentistry.
Hi, I am in high school and want to become a vet too. Is there anything I should do in high school to prepare me for becoming a vet? And by the way I really like your videos, there are not of lot of youtubers that talk about the process of vet school. It has really helped my decision to strive to become a vet. 😊
Thanks so much for watching!! I’m glad you found it helpful! In high school I would definitely try to volunteer/work in some type of veterinary environment. I personally found it a lot easier in high school to get volunteer experience. Since I was a lot more focused on marks in university I prioritized that over volunteering!
Definitely try to volunteer if possible! If your school has a course that deals with anatomy, physiology, or some type of a medical environment (science classes for example) I would say go for it! A lot comes out of these classes but as long as you study hard, you’ll do great!
This brings back a lot of memories even though it’s been about 35 years. My number one suggestion is to look at other students cadavers . Especially in small animal anatomy first semester of freshman year some of the dissections were pure hash . The lab teachers were generally fair and would try to find unambiguous examples of different structures but you still had to be able to find points of reference on somebody else’s dissection.
Second semester was large animal anatomy and that professor was hysterically funny.. on the first equine written test there was a question asking what structures you would encounter on opening a horse’s abdomen on the midlline and where they would be located. Shen Dr P gave the tests back he said “I think I assumed too much when I worded that question, because a significant number of you answered the question from the perspective of being under the horse. If you remember nothing else , remember that you never want to do a midline incision on a standing animal. This isn’t jiffy lube folks!”
Hello im vet university student , i want way to love my study more and improve may scales 🥺🔮
I just finished my 5th year and had no practical experience for several reasons. I'm now 23 and I've been going to a small animal clinic and I just started gaining some practical knowledge. I don't know, do you think I'm late?
How long should it take me before actually working at start gaining money?
One of these reasons was focusing on studying to get the highest grades possible and during vacation most clinics around me didn't have a place for me to practice.
Thank you!
Oh my I just noticed I commented here when I was in year 3, wow!
These were really helpful! I’m a first year tech student and going through the program mostly online has been tough. Thanks!
I’m so glad you found it helpful! Online should has definitely been tough but I believe in you, you’ve got this!!
Hi! I really love that video and you definitely got my attention with the Anatomy diagrams. I think these would be helpful to me also, but how did you print the images for the bones? I’m studying in my country Bulgaria at the moment and I don’t find the pictures in our books enough, so I downloaded some American anatomy books with better pictures, but now the problem is that I can’t print anything out of them, I can’t even take screenshots of the pages... I would be really thankful if you could give me an idea on how to get pictures printed so I can make diagrams like yours 😃
Hmmm that's weird, I took screenshots of the diagrams I was interested in and then I printed them off and labeled them myself. Maybe try redownloading the textbooks? Sorry, I'm not sure why you can't take screenshots 😔
Yes, it is really strange... I’ll se if redownloading will help. Thank you so much for the immediate response ☺️
I'm currently in 8th grade and I know I still have more years to go but this is really helpful thank you. All my life I've been taking care of animals and wanted to be a veterinarian. If I start learning now then it might be easier when I grow up
That's awesome to hear! I was the same and wanted to be a vet from a really young age! It's never too early to start learning - you've got this!!

More ideas on preparing MASTER TABLE.
Hi I was just wondering if you maybe watched lectures online or watched certain videos that just talked about what being a vet is like and mentioned what vet school is like in general. I am in high school right now and I am just really anxious to see if vet school is something that I want to continue to pursue. Also thank you so much for this video.
Thanks so much for watching! I volunteered and worked at a veterinary clinic in high school so I had a pretty good idea of what the profession would be like! That's why for most veterinary schools, they require you to have some volunteer experience on your application so that you know what the program and what the profession will be like before you get accepted!
Get work experience at vet clinics and animal hospitals!
I’m starting vet school in a few months and this was really helpful!!! Thank you very much! Also, can I ask if you have any book recommendations that I can read to prepare for vet school? ♥️
That's so exciting!! Congratulations!! If you haven't taken any anatomy course before I really like the Textbook of Veterinary Anatomy by Dyce. It saved my butt in first year!

I am currently going to school to become a vet assistant. I really enjoyed watching your video. I am a visual learner as well. I come across your video for study tips. Where did you get that master table from I want to try and make it :)

can u share your slides from angiology with us?
I'm in school to be a vet tech right now and our anatomy and physiology classes are combined and it really throws me off. I wish they were separated cause I learn differently for each one 😞
Hi! I’m a first year vet student who’s currently suffering with studying anatomy online rn. Is there any site you would recommend for the diagrams? Btw, thank you so much for your video. I really like it. It helps a lot!☺️
Majority of my diagrams came from The Textbook of Veterinary Anatomy by Dyce! Other than that, VIN is a really good tool for studying for anatomy and I found it really useful!
Hey mam !! I am vet student from Maharashtra. My Q. is Why horses aren't sitting on the ground ? And why dog left his hind leg when urinate ?
Study in 30 minute blocks with 5 minute breaks. Try to tweek this plan to your courses. Change the study block time and the break time according to your courses. Best students are able to study in longer blocks with shorter breaks. Try to be yourself. If you are a life long A student keep on that track. Likewise for B and C students. Create a Hologram of yourself as if you are meeting yourself for the first time. Try to be like your Hologram. Be you at your best like you are going to a job interview or a first date. Good luck. - TAV ♥️🇺🇸🌎👍
Hello, I was wondering where you got your diagrams from? They look really nice. My school I don't really have classes just a set of lectures each day to do so its about 12 lectures a week minimum. Its hard to find ways to study anything, just doesn't seem to fully stick in my head.
Some of the diagrams are from the textbook of veterinary anatomy by Dyce and others were ones my profs provided!
As a vet student now, it's hard for me to study in this pandemic and in the online class especially if I don't have some.books to read...
Hello miss can you recommend books and pdf file that we can read 🥺
I don't know if I will take veterinary course cuz I'm not really good at science huhu.. not at all
What is the youngest bone
I’ve been trying to look for veterinary jobs since I want to gain experience to become a vet. Do you have any suggestions on where I could start working to gain experience?
Volunteer at welfare organisations. Shadow vets for school assignments that require you to explore the world of work.
Don't look for paid jobs because you'll just be rejected and you won't get any experience from getting rejected. Start by volunteering and work your way up to getting paid.
I know I’m late but, where did you get your diagrams for note taking?
I either found them on google or I took screenshots from the textbook: Textbook of Veterinary Anatomy by Dyce :)
@@yourvetamanda thanks!
How would y’all recommend studying for second year courses? One major one being pharmacology. I’ve really been struggling finding my best study methods. Made it through first year by the skin of my teeth.
I also struggled with pharm in second year! That course was a lot of memorizing for me so I made flashcards on quizlet! Good luck, you’ve got this!!
Do you use books a lot or focus on slides and web sources. And if so, what websites?
I mostly use my lecture slides! If I use a website it’s VIN but I’m pretty sure you need a membership for that!
Where'd you get the pictures though to label
I mostly used the diagrams in The Textbook of Veterinary Anatomy by Dyce!
Where did you find your diagrams to annotate?
I used the textbook of veterinary anatomy by Dyce!
I'm also a visual learner. and I'm actually a bit confused about what books or pictures to use for anatomy. and also where to get them. so, would you please help with the source of the diagrams you use for that? (I'm studying vet, so...)
I really liked the Textbook of Veterinary Anatomy by Dyce for diagrams!

Hello, I'm only in grade 8 but I always wanted to be a vet, and I love science, but I was asking maths isn't my favourite, like im not bad at it but not the best, do you need to get an A in maths to go to vetenary?
No definitely not! I was not the best at math either. I can only speak on my experience applying to ovc but for my application I didn’t use any undergraduate math/calculus as a prerequisite to apply! I did take grade 12 university calculus to get into my undergraduate program though!
Oh thank you so much, That is very helpful too know
hi thankyou for making this video! i've been wondering if i could go to college (in my country) and then work (as a vet) in another country! will that work? and sorry for my broken english!
You're English was great, don't worry! It depends on what accreditation your vet school has and if that accreditation is valid in the country you want to move to! If it doesn't, you might have to write a licensing exam in the country you're moving to! Hope that helps!

I'm a year 3 student and we finished anatomy (four semesters), and we only learned equine anatomy like the practical part only (with some bone comparatives thing, but literally nothing in regards to muscles, nerves, etc.) Would you recommend me studying other species also by myself in summer or something? I'll revise my practical classes so would you think adding this would be helpful?
I think it depends on what you want to do after graduation! For example. I want to be a small animal gp after I graduate so I didn't focus too much on horses! If you're planning on treating other species then I don't think it would hurt!
@@yourvetamanda I don't know what I wanna be really like everything seems interesting and I'd like to be good at everything (I don't think this is possible). In my school you've to study everything (even fishes) for five years, like you can't pick a certain field of veterinary medicine, you take it all!
Where do you get those fillable diagrams?!
I took screenshots of the Textbook of Veterinary Anatomy and then I would print them out and label them!
I want to be a vet when I grow up i’m already planning ahead with some of vet stuff
