About 2 Meter Sessions
====================
Based in the Netherlands, 2 Meter Sessions is an independent, ongoing (new) music platform with a great legacy. Monthly we film 3 to 4 sessions with promising and breakthrough acts from all over the world.
Many well-known acts have visited the show; from James Taylor, Elliott Smith and David Crosby to Damien Jurado, Ben Howard and Josh Ritter, via Radiohead, Nirvana, Coldplay and Foo Fighters. Archive footage can regularly be seen in (theatrical) documentary movies, like “Mystify: Michael Hutchence” (with footage of our session with INXS, filmed in 1997), “Heaven Adores You” (with footage of our session with Elliott Smith, filmed in 1998) and “All I Can Say” (with footage of our session with Blind Melon, filmed in 1993).
The show started back in 1987 by radio presenter Jan Douwe Kroeske. On his popular national radio show he persuaded New-Zealand band Crowded House to play a couple of songs. The response of the public was so great, that 2 Meter Sessions quickly became a household name. In 1993, the show made a successful transition to national television. From there the show became a national phenomenon, for over 10 years, with filmed sessions of new talent, breakthrough acts and arrived career artists. Almost a million of 2 Meter Sessions cd’s were sold in the Netherlands.

#BlindMelon #ShannonHoon - Hudba
2 meter sessions; Thank you for keeping Shannon Hoon alive in the way he is best.
Such an underrated singer/songwriter. But the band was so dam tight and talented that idk who's more underrated
The band as a whole haha!
And they were so young! Shannon was the oldest.
Underrated is the favorite word of millenials...just because they didnt see how big they where in they days
I've never seen this. Fun fact The guitar, bass and drummer are all from Mississippi. Every song they play rocks the free world.👍👍
Blind Melon so underrated.
He makes singing like that look effortless.
Shannon and Blind Melon have been my favorites my whole life since they first came out. I never found anybody who ever came close to taking that crown. I was actually pretty bored with music. Until a year ago when I discovered Ren and his band The Big Push. They aren't anything like Blind Melon or Shannon, except for the fact that the music and lyrics and chemistry just touch me in a way that I hadn't felt in decades. We will never know what music we could have had if Shannon hadn't died. xoxo RIP Shannon.
Juat throwing thia out there, but i recently found an artist named Dirt Miller and his voice reminds me of Shannon's. Someone else said he sounds like if Layne Staley grew up on bluegrass. He's phenomenal. Just sharing more great music. I miss Shannon 😔
Shannon,so very sadly missed..
live Blind Mellon reminds me of a cross of Janis Joplin and the Doors with a touch of The Band
Totally agree with you 🍻🍻
Fridays are always fresh days!
Shannon and Layne Staley were the best fucking voices of the 90s
and even to this day
My two favorites of all time
Cornell bro. As far as ability. I'll take Cornell and Shannon honestly. Kurt was my favorite artist of the 90s and maybe my favorite of all time. But, vocally, Cornell and Shannon just had ridiculous ability where it came effortlessly. Staley was also a beast obviously. Loved AIC
@@el34glo59 totally agree
Lol calm down 😅
Release all the Blind Melon!!
We love you Shannon and we really miss you
Way too underrated! I bought their self-titled album from a Garage sale! I was blown away how diverse the tracks were and how fricken good they were! Too bad "No Rain" overshadowed their music. The best ones are gone too soon - an unfortunate reality.
Gorgeous!!!!
Again voice of an angel. Speechless! ❤❤❤
Amazing band.
Such a pure artist. Amazing
AMAZING VOICE!!!!!
So glad I found this gem.
This is so perfect
Por que te fuiste tan joven my friend...RIP shannon
great voice , RIP
He's the best
outstanding!
This is soooooo good
Blind Melon Lyrics "Paper Scratcher"
Shuffle can to can nobody really gives a damn
For every living day I give myself a hand
Now I'm scroungy as can be
I got all you normals looking at me
I'll scratch a hole in my life
So everyone can see
My mind is a mind that I have come to know
And my eyes can't conceive a world that can not grow
And Fridays are always fresh days
Screamin' at the sun, don't really
Know what he has done
He don't believe in God and a world as one
So he rambles through the weeds
And he will sleep beneath the trees
On the day I die, Thank God my Soul will be released
I've seen all your eyes
And I've seen all your faces
Can you tell me honestly that you wanna be free?
Then look in my eyes
I've been lots of places
Can you tell me honestly that you'd want to be me
Honestly
wow thank you. perfection
So good, man!
"can you tell me honestly that you want to be me?". Shannon Hoon-
What a band. Increisble version of scratcher here. Page, Plant and Jagger all said best of 90s and only band that Zep magic and ability to play such diverse stuff. You can tell those every member has a very wide range of influences. From soft 70s stuff, funk, southern, zeppelin, who, Van Halen, they really stand out among their competition. Unfortunately the mgmt and record co milking the GNR angle really hurt them over time. Stupid shortsighted thing to do, but the greed of the industry was never known for their intellect. I relate w SH so much, from a small puritanical town and love of pharmaceutical adventurism to a degree I either stop or the next helicopter ride ER trip might be my last. Rip SH and his Mother
amazing, thanks
Really cool
Er erinnert mich an Janis Joplin. Manchmal passt die Stimmfarbe.
Yesssir!
Now we’re talking
😎
My dad drives a train 🚆
Not a great vocal performance by him at all. Bailing on all the high notes in the verses. Changing the melody into some annoying who knows what. Very shaky throughout. Drugs are bad kids.
Yes maybe this song but listen to candy says from same session
@@sierrapeaks8838 yes im aware. Shannon still sucks on it. Dont do drugs kids.
Will always be one of my favorite bands. RIP Shannon...so much more to give!
Fuck off sounds great
What a dick they are awesome
