So many moms on social media hide the fact they have help - thank you for being transparent so people don't compare themselves to unrealistic expectations for what one adult can do!
So on point with those twin dynamics nuances when potty training, was exactly my experience!
I needed to see this TODAY! On day two of potty training and yesterday was ROUGH. I know it will happen but we just need to get through the thick of it. Thank you for this!!
This came at perfect timing! Thank you!! 🥲
This has really motivated me! thank you!!
Good advice! My daughter did not feel letdown until almost 3 yrs old, but she wanted to be a big girl so badly! So…eery 30 minutes we would go “try” and then did fun activities afterwards! No accidents after she could feel the “let down” of needing to go! So…we never pressured her, I’m so glad we did not!
Yep exactly. All kids develop and learn things at different ages. Their body needs to be ready for it. Some are ready early others later. They all control their bladder at different ages. Same as walking and everything
Your Sons are Super Adorable 😊... Congratulations New Subscriber, my twin sons just turned 21... I remember these days like yesterday and yes 3 days (weekends are great... Friday Saturday Sunday (Fun at home) and by Monday you're good😊 Blessing to you and your beautiful family😊
Thank you so much !! I think the video really helps!! I was just wondering. What did u do for night times if the Boys needs to go to the bathroom ? Will they hold it in or will you wake them up? Or do they wear nappies again ??
My daughter had pull ups for bedtime only. First thing in the morning we would change to underwear. We did this until she would wake up to go potty on her own at nights. This avoids having to do tons of laundry and her crying waking up being wet and feeling embarrassed. I took a week off of work to be home for it all.
I started to help my child learn at 2 years. She seemed ready and showing signs. Was going great getting her into it but wasn't full on trying since she was young. Mainly preparing her. But then she had to have surgery so held off. By 2 and a half I actually tried with her. Took a couple days. I let her run around house with no bottoms. Also made up a potty fairy. If she used potty the "potty fairy" left presents the next morning (small cheap toys.) I kept that going a week or so. But after two days she was using potty fully. Kept pull ups on a few nights then took those away. Apparently she must have been very ready to learn. She never had any accidents after those two days not even while sleeping. I think if I would have kept her in pull ups at night or tried before age two to two and a half it would have taken more training and way longer. But was so easy since she was ready for sure and likely had been ready to try for a month or so. But you're exactly right. You have to stick with it all day long. One change can throw it all off. Also all children are different and will show signs at different ages. If you try to train at 2 or even 3 and they seem to be struggling even though you've done everything then just relax and wait a bit longer. Maybe they need another month to show signs they are ready. You could still stick with getting them excited to train and everything but don't stress it. They will learn on their time when their body is ready. All kids learn to hold their bladder at different times. Some can't hold their bladder until age 3 or even age 4. Nothing wrong with that. Even others are age 5. I wouldn't stress it until maybe age 5 then possibly check with their doctor just to verify no bladder issues or others going on. My child was easy. I've heard girls can be easy. But likely its just all kids are ready at different times. Same with walking and everything.
Congrats. This makes me realize that I'll wait till mine are 2.5years or thereabouts.
When I potty trained my son I did pretty much the same routine. The first two days we spent many hours outside basically naked. That was fun for him and made it so much easier. Cute undies another big hit. He was now like his dad and brother in big boy undies. Patience and love helps… just try to remain calm and they will pick up on your energy. Best of luck for anyone going through this stage now… you’ve got this 🎉
Thank youuuuu!
We'll try this out starting tomorrow. Its about time. So you didnt let them wear nappies during the night, or how did it work? Did you wake them up? Thanks for quick reply😅😊
Thanks so much for this video! I hate potty training so much and the thought of doing it with my girl/boy twins is so overwhelming 😅 I'm giving it a go this Easter weekend. So when did you add in undies and pants? Was that day 2? My eldest son really struggled once we added the pants!
Just rem if you're doing everything you can and they are still struggling then you might just need to give it more time and try again in a few weeks. Could continue preparing but not stress and let it be. All kids are ready at different times. The all learn to control their bladder and muscles at different times. If it seems too hard then might not be their time yet. Good luck they'll get there soon
I did undies the first day. But mostly let her run around in the house with no bottoms. Did pull ups at night first maybe three nights then stopped when they were dry each morning. But I did learn she seemed like she was going get used to the pull ups and not want to try so I got rid of them at night completely by third day. She never had any accidents. But she seemed very ready when I tried and was perfect time. If I would have tried two months before I would have struggled
If needed and using regular mattress that absorbs fluids you can place a bed pad either on sheet or under sheet. Also waterproof mattress covers are great for kids even teens. Mine never had an accident but just in case and if drink spills or anything then mattress is fine.
My son had chicken pox and I used it as an opportunity to stop with the diapers cold turkey. I hadn’t even thought about it yet, but the only thing I had done before was buy him underwear months before since we didn’t have clothing stores near. It went smoothly. Kids will know when it’s the right time and it’ll be fast to go diaper-free.
Why did it fail when they were 18th s? I’m going to be potty training my daughter this summer when she is 2yrs 1 month old. I really like the idea of having the potty in the bathroom. Going to try that for sure. Thanks for this video
Haven't heard Kmart in a hot minute 😂
When my daughter was 15 months old, I got a bucket full of candies and told her that every time she went in the toilet she could have a candy. She got a few the first day, the second day she started using the restroom and forgot about the candies. She has been potty trained since then
Nap time and bed time scares me 😭 I’m like 50% there with my 19 month old!!
Children can't control peeing while they sleep if their body is not ready. Boys are slower than girls. 19 months old is still very little, there is no hurry.
My grandchildren were toiled trained by 19 months. Wee and poo. Today his out at a theme park celebrating his second birthday with no nappies on. He wears a pull up at night but is dry every morning.
This is how my own children. We’re.
The issue today is diapers have become so absorbent that a toddler does not know they’re wet.
Be using the toilet from beginning. By a potty that has a clip able lid to take out and about
Number one tip for success: have an au pair to help you. At least be up front about it. 😅🤦♀️
Oh puhlease. I'm a twin mum. We can and do potty train without au pairs. And just because she has one doesn't mean she used her. Au pairs do get days off and vacations you know.
I potty trained 5 kids. Every time we cancelled all plans for 4-5 days. They all got it down in 3 days. I did everything you did except Daycare. My 3rd son was attached to his pull ups. He loved them so we let him use at night but they were always dry. You did great mama!
How lame, with or without auspair she got it done. Why be so salty
18 months their brains don’t comprehend it so ya that would of failed for sure but older yes def works!
Oh barf.
Seriously? You think your children want this to be online? 🙄
