Maxpedition Vs Vanquest EDC Pouches

Off the cuff comparison of two edc pouches by major manufactures of edc items. Maxpedition vs Vanquest.
For my needs, the vanquest has certain features that I think are more advanced. I prefer the Vanquest over the Maxpedition. That being said both are good and rugged.

There are some points that were maybe passed over that have weighed in on some of my purchases from these two companies.
1. Maxpedition charges so much in shipping that I would rather just pay more for Vanquest out of the gate sometimes if my order is going to be less than $200. This may still even include when Mexpedition is having a BOGO sale because the shipping is simply insane vs Vanquest.
2. Everyone that founded Vanquest originally worked at Maxpedition and as the story goes. . . they had design and idea differences about where the company would go and some of the founders who did the design for Maxpedition left and started Vanquest so the two companies are heavily competitive. Vanquest had the designers who liked the orange for high vis, the ability to stagger items, and the idea of compartmentalizing such as with their small cubes and their velcro inserts for custom organizing in bags leave.
I like Maxpedition's stitching around the handles, but Vanquest has cleaner zippers. I don't like the mesh on Maxpedition and feel the need to go to the AGR line they seem to be discontinuing with the hex type clear webbing where items do not fall through and/or get dirty such as in the IFAK they made and I have. No one wants dirty bandaids or a dirty anything with the mesh.
I think Vanquest could come out a clear winner with some better stitching/dbl stichting around key wear components and more sizes like the micro and some other odds and ends that Maxpedition had for a bit, including a hardshell version.

I believe that vanquest is the better despite some of the difference. Yes the shipping does matter. Alex is great to work with and talk with. I have never had the chance to talk with maxpedition people at all. I use both brands and mix and match.
