As of my last update in September 2021, iVMS-4200 Lite is a video management software (VMS) provided by Hikvision, designed to connect and manage their network video recorders (NVRs) and cameras. To connect iVMS-4200 Lite with an NVR, you can follow these steps:
Note: Make sure your NVR and computer running iVMS-4200 Lite are on the same network.
Download and Install iVMS-4200 Lite:
Go to Hikvision's official website or a trusted source and download the latest version of iVMS-4200 Lite compatible with your operating system.
Install the software by following the on-screen instructions.
Launch iVMS-4200 Lite:
Open the iVMS-4200 Lite application on your computer.
Add Device (NVR) to iVMS-4200 Lite:
In the iVMS-4200 Lite application, click on the "Device Management" icon or go to the "Device Management" tab.
Add NVR Information:
Click on the "Add" button to add a new device (NVR).
In the "Add Device" window, select "NVR/DVR" as the device type.
Configure NVR Settings:
Enter a name for the NVR in the "Device Name" field (you can choose any name you prefer).
In the "Device IP" field, enter the IP address of your NVR. If you don't know the IP address, you can find it using the NVR's local interface or from your router's connected devices list.
Enter the port number in the "Port No." field. The default port for Hikvision devices is usually 8000. If you have changed the default port on your NVR, use the one you have configured.
Provide the login credentials (username and password) of your NVR's admin account.
Save and Connect:
Click on the "Save" button to add the NVR to iVMS-4200 Lite.
Now, select the NVR from the device list, and click on the "Connect" button to establish a connection.
View and Manage Cameras:
Once the connection is successful, you should see the cameras connected to the NVR listed in the iVMS-4200 Lite application.
You can view live feeds, playback recorded footage, configure settings, and manage your cameras through iVMS-4200 Lite.
