- What do the alligators eat on Thanksgiving? Since the holiday is right around the corner, I decide to feed Soni and Chompers the alligators a special Thanksgiving Day feast! I thaw out a 22 lb. Turkey for Soni and a tiny Cornish game hen for Chompers. Will the alligators eat on Thanksgiving? Last year, Soni refused to eat a turkey on Thanksgiving. Will Soni the alligator eat a turkey this year? How long will it take him to swallow the turkey if he does indeed eat? Will Chompers the alligator eat her Cornish game hen? Soni trying to get back in the water on a full stomach was very reminiscent of how people move after a Thanksgiving dinner. 😆

The force of the alligators jaws is just incredible you can hear he bones of the turkey cracking
It is always amazing to watch an alligator move. They are just so slow, especially when they are sun basking they just sit so still like they're in a deep trance and any slight movement is so graceful like they don't want to disturb nature. When they move and only then, they really become so alive.
You live with them everyday so I get it if they are just normal reptile animals like any other species. Alligators to me are just so different. On land they are just down right the most amazing creatures, for the way they walk and take gentle steps, a slight turn of the head in slow motion, and any tail movement it's so cool. The bigger they are the most amazing they are because of all that excess body weight that they have to carry around on land.
