E 26 - Plugging the gap (my most satisfying achievement)

  • I was rather unimpressed with my plug welds and felt I was going wrong somewhere, then I realised I hadn't adjusted the speed of the welder at any point, and WOW what a difference. really pleased with how things have turned out and given me confidence to push forward with restoring my Morris Minor. (also thankyou for the continued advice and support (you know who you are!))

    I'm in a similar situation here in Australia. But, like you, I'm learning as I go. And a cutting disk will hide those little errors. Good luck, mate.

    Excellent progress, you’re now getting decent penetration on the welds, your not making a concourse vehicle so as long as it’s strong and presentable alls good,

      It’s trial error and practice, plus measure then measure again,
