- This is the second episode of Spiti tour which I did in the last week of December 2023. I'll be exploring the beautiful village of Kalpa in this episode.
Kalpa is a small village in the Sutlej river valley, above Reckong Peo in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Northern India, in the Indian Himalaya. The region is inhabited by the Kinnauri people and is known for its apple orchards, as apples are a major cash-crop for the region. The local Kinnauri follow a syncretism of Hinduism and Buddhism, and many temples in Kalpa are dedicated to both Hindu and Buddhist gods and goddesses. The average literacy rate of Kalpa is around 83.75%. India's first ever voter, Shyam Saran Negi, also belongs to Kalpa

Thanks a lot for liking the vlog. Mai apple pie naam ke homestay me ruka tha jo 1500 rs per night ka charge karte hain. Isse bhi saste homestay hain jo 8-900 Rs me mil jayenge. Kalpa ke bus stop ke bagal me hi ek Monastery hai. Wahan 2-3 homestay hain jo bahot saste hain plus breakfast dinner bhi included rahega. Chota sa village hai, bade aram se aap khoj lenge.

Village ka andar jakar lenge to saste milenge. Mai thoda pahad ke upar ruka tha taki views ache dikhe. Ussi ka thoda extra charge karte hain. 👍
