Kevin is a friend of mine, and my veterinarian, and one of the Great Guys on the planet. He is hysterical and I am SO glad to see him booked on Dry Bar. You go, Kevin.
Can confirm, he's one of the great guys on the planet.
Does he ever perform in the Denver Metro area, perhaps comedy works or whatever? I have GOT to see him in person!
@@ordinarryalien He seems like a great guy. It's hard to fake that kind of overall pleasant disposition. That he's also a vet lines right up. I'm surrounded by people that don't care much about human life let alone animals in one of the most corrupt unions on the planet. I wish I had people like this in my circle
@@stevekombolis Most humans don't have strong moral compasses. They lack compassion. It's a sad, blue planet you live in...
I loved him on animal planet years ago and was so excited to see him on here I yelled out loud 😂. He is the absolute best!
I loved when Kevin said *These aren’t jokes, I’m just telling you stuff*. That was hilarious!!! Fantastic show!! 😂😂😂😂
Vitamins. I can attest that is true. Been taking them for a week and , honestly, color of a high vis vest.
This dude is hilarious!
Same here, and the older you're allowed to get the more stuff you have to tell!😯
One of those people that after just a few minutes of him talking you think "man, this guy would be so cool to have as a neighbor!" I love how he ended his set with the story about the nurse with a heart of gold. Very classy.
Super Funny!!
Not if he poops on your lawn 😂
Man, you took the words right out of my mouth! Maybe do a few beers around a campfire on a cloudless, moonless, Colorado night. I imagine vets have so many stories to tell.
Q😂😂😂@@danbale4160
Agreed 👍
Omg! He was my vet when I lived in Aurora, Co! I thought he looked familiar and when I saw his name I knew it was time. He really loves animals! He would sit on the floor to interact with my dogs. Very laid back and competent veterinarian! I didn’t know he was so funny! Best wishes in all your future endeavors Dr Fitzgerald! ♥️🤗
Same! Moved from Aurora to Kansas City years ago. Took a long time to find a vet practice I liked as well as his (on Alameda, I believe). Especially kind vet when we had to say goodbye to our beloved, old Pom. Kinda sweet to see him out there doing something new, still as kind & still helping people (laugh at least). Glad to stumble on this.😊
He sat on the floor to examine my Yorkie pups back in 2007 or so.
Really great to hear a funny comedian with clean humor.
Clean humor is WHY I love DRY BAR COMEDY 😅
I’ve seen Dr. Fitzgerald at two vet conferences; once as a performer, once as a lecturer. He was captivating in both roles. ❤
Love this guy. When I was younger, I worked at a vet hospital, and yes, we did have a strange sense of humor. I then became a Registered Nurse and then got a really strange sense of humor.
johnschuster1770,
Lol, Merry Christmas!🎄🎉
Merry Christmas@@bkm2797
Just like the army
🙋🏼♀️ yep, EMT here, very twisted! 😂
Funny, my sister was a RN and had no sense of humor at all.😂😂
I heard Dr. Fitzgerald on NPR's 'Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me' several years ago and he was an absolute hoot. I love this special...
That show is so fun.. this one too. Thanks for reminding ne of WWDM..
Did you see the one they showed in the movie theaters, a Fathom Event of NPR's Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me? I missed it.. but really wanted to go to it!
@@heidiWavaoh my. I have to look out for that! My favorite show in a theatre 😍
The spider story! I still think about that one! 😂😂
What a beautiful, funny storyteller. I could listen to him do a 2-hour set.
This guy started my career in Vet medicine 😂 ❤❤ he's always been a card
Excellent comedy. Stories that draw the audience into your confidence.
“You can’t make this up!”
Until just now (2:18 AM 12/25 2023) I never heard of Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald. I have never laughed so hard and I have seen many great stand up Artist. Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald, you are the best.
He made me look.
When I was young, one of my favorite authors was James Herriot. I had that in common with my mom. Grew up on a farm, as well, so had plenty of our own weird and funny animal stories. Your show was awesome, clean, and I loved the vet stories. It was both funny and nostalgic for me. Thanks for posting this.
I LOVE James Herriot!!!!!
Exactly ‼️I too am here, because of James Herriot nostalgia...
I also love James Harriet I've read all his books and watch the TV show.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.
The rich man in his castle,
The poor man at his gate,
God made them high and lowly,
And ordered their estate.
The purple headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning,
That brightens up the sky;−
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,−
He made them every one.
The tall trees in the greenwood,
The meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water,
We gather every day;−
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who hath made all things well.
Me too! I used to guffaw uncontrollably on the public transport on the way home from school, reading James Herriott. 😂
I loved Dr. Kevin's comedy show! It takes a lot to make me laugh at a comedy act - and he did it! Let's hear more from him in the future. Clean humor is hard to come by these days - so refreshing!
I want this guy as MY vet!
Yes!
I think every woman with a pet does! He's handsome, personable, funny & brilliant. I remember him from a TV show re: the veterinary practice he's with. I sent this to a friend who's doing stand up comedy after retiring and he found this very relatable & funny. Very kewl vet!
I want him as my neighbor 😊
I would get a pet just to have him as my vet.
What breed you?
The guy is 65 and he still has all of his hair and he still has his mother. Makes sense. I reckon God loves veterinarians.
Bro I think your on to somthing ! 😲! I 🤐wanna help me go dig up mine !?
Oh no wait , she's cremated. 😂😂😂
I grew up watching this guy on animal planet. He inspired me to wanna work with animals now I work at a doggy daycare and it is the best job ever.
Past paralegal here, you are doing MY dream job
I loved watching him on Animal Planet.
How old is this video? I took my animals to Alameda East Vet Clinic. He was head vet. Some of the stuff mentioned in his monologue are ancient history. BTW, Comedy Works in Larimer Square (DT Denver) torn down decades ago. I met Dr. Kevin when I was in my 20s. He was older than me (obviously, he had to go vet med school). This is 2023 and I am 70 years of age.
Kevin was very special. Very special. BTW, he had a pet tarantula spider. Yes, he did hunt and trap poisonous snakes to extract venom for medical purposes. Yeah, Kevin, people in Aurora/Denver/Thornton, etc., remember and adored you. Peace be with you.
He is 72 now. This was filmed about 7 years ago.❤
? Mayb his dad, bc it shows on-line current info that he's 72 yrs old/still living.
Oops-didnt see someone already said that lol sry!
"These aren’t jokes, I’m just telling you stuff". Pure gold. So many years of watching comedians and how come this is the first time I hear this? You can't make this stuff up.
Oh my goodness, I am rolling on the floor! Great routine, well executed, and very funny. I love clean humor, and I enjoyed the stories incorporated into the routine.
You are killing it!
I have been thinking about and laughing at his jokes for hours! "You've peed enough"🤣🤣🤣
What a sweetheart - and so darn funny too!
The truly funniest most wholesome routine I've seen in a long time.
A stand-up comic veterinarian. That's a new one on me. Great set!
Aww, Dr. Fitzgerald from the old show 'Emergency Vets: Alameda East'. I still have an old video cassette of the show, but no VCR to play it 😂Always loved that show and him as a very compassionate vet. Glad to see him on stage, great set Kevin!
I loved that show.
Watched that show all the time!
My mom and I watched that show. She had a little crush on him.
He is the cutest thing ever. ❤
GOOD STUFF. Loved the hamster with fridge magnet.
But, the hearing test was super!
This guy's got dry humor, and I like it! Thumbs up buddy!!!
Watched Doc Kevin years ago on tv. Never knew he did stand up, but it's now pretty clear he should be doing it, and I hope he continues, because hes definitely got some great jokes!
He was great! Cracked me up even more that it seemed like he was tickled by his own jokes. Just seems like a genuine good dude that Id want for my vet! Love the comment at the end about the nurse 👍
What a special treat, I haven't seen Kevin in years, and had no idea he does comedy. Keep going Kevin, this could be your next career.❤️
Next ? He's been doing stand-up for decades first show of his I went to was 93ish at the fox in boulder
chuckufarley5348,
I only knew him as a veterinarian, saw him on a show about vets long ago, so tonight was a surprise. Guess he's had a lot of experience in comedy at this point from what you said, and it shows. Happy Holidays!🎄🎉
It was the the reverse for me I knew him as a body guard for the rolling stones and a comedian before I knew he was a vet.
me too.@@bkm2797
chuckufarley5348,
Lol, thinking he did mention at one point about working for The Rolling Stones, but didn't mention performing comedy. He looks exactly the same all these years later, amazing.
This was great ! He’s sweet and funny and has great stories to tell !!
He has such good timing. He’s better than most comedians I listen to.
That was worth the time. A great entertainer.
He has a classic comedian vibe and I love it! Plus vets see hilarious stuff. He reminds me of a vet we took our cats to when I was a kid!
Thanks Drybar for posting full specials again.
This is incredibly fun for a former Veterinary Tech😂
You go Doc!
That was one of the best performances I have seen in a while. It put me a great mood. Thanks.
He was hilarious!! I laughed all the way through it. You can just sense his loveliness. Well done!
So nice to see him again! I used to watch him every day on "Emergency Vets" and was wondering what happened to him.
I THOUGHT I recognized him..... From Colorado correct?
Me too! Was my favorite show. Glad to see he’s doing good!
@@jamiehenderson1303yes! The vet hospital was alameada east. I only remember because it was the reason I majored in Prevet.
I think his staff heard all his jokes about 1000 times, so they sent him on the road which is a good thing. he's good and I love the pet jokes
Vets ALWAYS have the best stories. My local vet was attending a down cow after she calved. Internal bleeding couldn't save her, had to be put down. Farmer brings out the rifle to finish the job. Vet was finishing up gathering various tools and such while the farmer took aim. The cow lurched at the last second as the farmer pulled the trigger. The bullet ricocheted off the cows skull and hit the vet in the knee. Our fearless vet, never having been shot before, didn't think it was a big deal and finished his rounds for the day. He went to emergency that evening because "it really started to hurt" only to be lectured by an incredulous young doctor that he should have come to the hospital immediately after being shot! Our fearless vet assured the doctor that he would indeed come to the hospital immediately the next time he was shot!
Refreshing to hear good clean jokes and story's. Thanks for sharing.
Drybar Comedy has many, many great standup videos - all clean and all top quality. Their TV programs play on the Angel network.
Really enjoyed Kevin's act! Funny, sweet, great timing, jokes and delivery! Hope to see more of this comedian (and he helps save animals get well! ) what a great comic, person, and Veterinarian!
I genuinely cracked up a few times! 😂
I'm a decade older than Dr. Fitzgerald. Here I am, sitting on the couch, in the wee hours of the morning and see Dr. F's segment on CZcams. When he tells his, "The only time I don't need to pee" joke, that I completely relate to....I laughed so hard I almost pee'd my jammies! Keep up to good humor Dr.!
Thanks for 20 minutes of the biggest smile I’ve had in the longest time.
I enjoyed his routine. Laughed myself silly.
Hes so funny! I actually laughed at his jokes!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ❤
I love you!! I remember when you came to Ohio and signed a picture of you and the other Vets in the practice! God Bless! Continue your journey with joy!
I loved him! Thanks DryBar for having Kevin on! Fan of his vet show and now his comedy!
Such a sweetheart. Very clever, very funny!
❤❤❤ I love kind and funny people like him, he was really funny.
One can only IMAGINE the funny situations veterinarians find themselves in!
I remember meeting Kevin Fitzgerald at a Veterinary Conference in Ohio when I attended Virginia Tech. Still funny, glad to see him again 👍🏿
Go Hokies!!!
I'm sitting here cracking up at his jokes , and trying to imagine my veterinarians being funny like this. Nope. It'll never happen. 😅
😂😂 Kevin's one of the best I've heard in a while, he's just got it. Not to mention he sounds like Tommy Chong. Lol
A veterinarian that kills, on stage.
Great set!
Thanks, Dry Bar for your constant stream of terrific talents.
Excellent bit of Very important clarification there with the "on stage"! 😁
Great way to finish! A unique style, it’s nice to get something different 👏
This guy is genuinely hilarious. Original and funny material. I'd love to hear more of him.
Gives me new-founded hope. He's 60+ . As Am I. I am more impressed w/ his humor than comedians half his age. There is hope for us folks over 60!!!!!
With just a few Vet Schools in the Country, it's harder to get into one than Med School. That's one smart guy who is down to earth, and that makes his comedy pure gold.
😂Loved him! Great use of his own experiences for HILARIOUS stories.
He's like a former hippy stoner! But very funny. I'd like to see more of his stand-up routines!
That’s Not a routine! That’s the naked Him !
@@budstone5830 comedians are always at their best when they go off what they wrote and do improv! Robin Williams was so gifted when spontaneous!! This guy is great, too. He gave my abs a workout.
@@budstone5830 lol!!!
When he was young, he worked security for/toured with The Rolling Stones and Willie Nelson, so that tracks.
@@KaraZiasapiens 🤣🤣🤣 That's so funny!! Thanks for sharing this, it made my day!💯👏👏
God, i LOVE funny veterinarians!
Ive read James Herriot so many times i could pull a calf.
Love this guy!
What a good show! I laughed so hard 🤣 Thank you for that and Merry Christmas to all!🎄🎅
Merry Christmas to you as well!
This is such an extraordinarily nice person & a very good standup artist.
Kevin has the greatest animal stories. I could listen to him for hours!
First time I've seen this guy. Laughing so hard I can hardly type. Hilarious!!!!
Love your humor, Kevin. Great jokes and even better stories!
Kevin, you are a healer making us all laugh at life. Thank you!
He's good! Very funny!🤣 Beautiful head of hair.
This guy is fantastic! Great job, so funny! Very appreciated!
Funny the whole time. Thank you for the laughs and smiles😊
Funny with such a beautiful heart. Dr. Kevin, you're a bright light in this world, thanks!!!
More Dr. Kevin, please!!
I love all of this... "no bodies gunna be scared on my shift" 💚
We used to watch his vet show and thought he must be hilarious in person and was clearly a phenomenal human and vet. I was so stoked to find this video! Can’t wait to see more!!! ❤
Always good with Dry Bar. So nice to see "clean" comedy. The very last story about that weasel faced nurse...I actually have one of my own. I repaired copiers, printer, fax machines, and Dictaphones up in Eureka, CA back in 2002-2004. I crawled my way into the ER after driving myself despite the abdominal pain--thank God for that very observant ER nurse who came running out with a wheelchair--and, after an MRI and CT scan was doped up on pain meds--Hello, Morphine, my old friend!--I was told I was checking in right then and there. When a room was available at the Eureka, CA, St. Joseph's Hospital--same organization Dr. Fitzgerald mentioned--I was wheeled out on a gurney to the elevator, taken to the 3rd floor. As soon as the door open, the grizzled maybe/maybe not old war veteran grandma nurse took one look at me and recognized me (I was the tech who always fixed the fax machine at THAT nurse's station) and started grinning with this S eating grin and we locked eyes as I was wheeled from the elevator down the hall, and said: "How does it feel to be on the other end of the stick, sweetie?"
I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and had to have surgery to remove 2 arms' lengths of bowels during that stay. Te night after my surgery, I had a rather cute, young nurse come check on me as I had gotten tangled in the tubes and help untangle me. She had such a soft, velvety voice that, despite being hopped up on so serious morphine, I still remember the sound of her voice and her gentle face. But, the Demon Murphy was gunning for me that night as well: a drug detox patient came through that floor that night. After literally having a sideways C-section and medically disemboweled, the noise from the banging, startling me...REALLY HURT MY MID SECTION BEYOND WHAT THE CROHN'S did.
The day after, my AHole of a best friend, at the time, came to visit and insisted on making me laugh.
Ahh...good times.
Dr. Fitzgerald shops in the grocery store where I work. He is on local TV now and then giving vet advice. Next time I see him I'll have to tell this nice quiet guy I caught his act.
THANKS FOR SHARING KEVIN 🤗👍💚💚💚
Laughed so hard! Especially the bit about the little dog vomiting the pig heart! I was a vet assistant for years and if you were fortunate enough to work with a Doc with a sense of humor you had the best day! Hugs and love to Dr. Stephen Thimmig!
I genuinely like him as well as his comedy. Can't wait to see him again. Merry Christmas ❤❤😂😂🇺🇸🇺🇸🎄
He makes me wonder if Steve Irwin, John Denver, and Tommy Chong had a baby together. I would definitely take my pets to him if I lived close enough.
You hit the nail on the head with the combination of people! 😂 Too funny
💯 truth 😂!!! Tommy Chong vibes for sure!
He is SO funny and relatable I was laughing tears 😂😂😂 MORE PLEASE!!!!
This guy was hysterical, thank you sir for making us laugh from beginning to end. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
What a great time.
Funny, funny.
Merry Christmas to all.
Kevin taught me pharmacology and exotic animal medicine in Vet Tech school back in the day.
He used to practice his comedy routine on us during the last few minutes of class.
Not only is he a great veterinarian, but he's a wonderful person!! A blessing to know him.
He's like our grandpa at a family gathering 😊
Without vulgarities, you can still be hilarious
My father is vet. He comes home with the greatest stories.
I loved kevin! Very funny! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
What a great guy! Not just a heartwarming person with hilarious stories, but ends his set with a beautiful message ❤️
"For the fourth time, Chicken" ..... LM$O!!!! This guy is hysterical!.... Great work!
Thank you for the joy brought by the humor. Haven’t had a good chuckle since my husband passed. Many Blessings Kevin.
Great set, Doctor! Perfect timing for me while wrapping gifts. OX Merry Christmas
Me Too !!
Proof that a humor doesn't have to be raunchy or full of fowl language. Thank you!
You must've missed the joke about the chicken. 😜
Very funny guy! That last little story was pretty cool, too.
Oh my gosh...the chicken bite...and I was sitting here wondering if they rescued the chicken.
I was howling! My cats love those meal moths so much that if *I* catch one he still wants to eat it! It's cat potato chips.
Love this guy!
