@@syncaudio2758 At first, Kumiko persuaded Asuka with the opinions of others. In other words, she tried to pass the buck to the people aroud her. Of course, Asuka saw through Kumiko's thinking. Therefore, no matter what Kumiko said, Asuka said back immediately. After that, when Kumiko thought that she couldn't convince Asuka, she conveyed her desire to play with Asuka. As a result, thanks to her true emotion, Asuka's heart was moved. I'm not good at English, but it's almost like this.
@@AndreaMoorita Thank you for reading my comment. I found the hidden story about "blood and talent" and wrote the comment above. After that I realized that the another story about "Kumiko confronting her own sin and finding LOVE" was hidden beneath the story, and I added some comment about that. Hibike is the author's very personal Christianity literature. The story is almost a miracle, at least for me (although I am not a Christian).
Cried so much at this scene not just because of Kumiko's pouring emotions, but how she really wanted asuka not to make the same decisions that her sister made and eventually lived to regret. She couldnt fix that part of her sister's life but she really fought hard for asuka's and that's what made this scene really beautiful. Stubborn asuka's defenses were finally did in when kumiko declared what she wanted for herself. It's not just for asuka, it's for kumiko as well.
I thought her performance throughout the show was spectacular. The expression in her voice is unlike anything else I've heard in anime. I have a number of favourite seiyuu but her performance was something else. She's also Phos in Houseki no Kuni. And back in March won best actress in the 12th seiyuu awards.
I'm glad Kumiko's cry was realistic, moreover, I'm impressed. She tries to contain her cries and gives her character a lot more expression. On top of that she's cute. Well done
Actually one of the main issue make me stop watching this anime was unrealistic crying scenes every character in this anime just cry to often for small reasons. like they want to express all thier emotin through crying and wemp
Just seeing this hurts so much. The way KyoAni animated this scene touches my heart. What happened to the studio was such a trajedy and heartbreaking. Let's all pray for those who passed away and hope for their recovery. Thank you KyoAni for everything.
Skeeter Mania what part donât you understand? Basically, the theme of this arc is what it means to be an adult/grow up. Kumiko grew up wanting to be like her sister and play with her sister, only to see her quit the band. And then she sees her do well in school, only to end up wanting to drop out and do the beautician thingy. So in her mind, her sister was a quitter and someone who rebels. But in reality, her sister loved the trombone. But she gave it up, thinking the grownup/realistic thing to do is to just study and get good grades, and that putting time into things like the arts are a waste of time. She regrets giving up her dream, so she realizes that this is the time to chase her dreams of being a beautician before itâs really too late. And Kumiko now sees Asuka quitting the band, thinking itâs the âright thing to do.â She knows Asuka is going to regret making this decision for the rest of her life. She doesnât want Asuka to make the same mistake her sister did. Long story short, being an adult isnât all about âsucking it upâ and doing exactly what your parents want you to do. Itâs putting in every effort you have into everything you do before you give up.
6:39 I love that subtle detail in Asuka's legs. They're trembling. Kumiko probably achieved something no one ever did, touch Asuka's heart and made her look like the weakest. Asuka clearly was about to cry but she hold it. That's how powerful were Kumiko's words. Tomoyo Kurosawa did a truly wonderful performance here. Top VA in my books.
I read that one of the directors really liked expressing emotion by focusing on legs because itâs really hard to hide your feelings through body language.
I cried so much...I love that Kumiko was looking out for Asuka and was comparing her to her sister...Kumiko really saved Asuka from a path of regret...
Kumiko is the purest and most genuine character i have seen, all her depression contained in her body invisible to others, her body language, her nature, insecurities about herself and her future,Past regrets validate her behaviour so well, simple and not dramatic, Kum is just pure justified emotion.
Kumiko is truly the type of person you donât want to forget. No matter how much she blends in through the crowd, she truly is the type of person who shines even brighter every time youâre with her.
Asuka tried to deceive herself and Kumiko, saying âyouâre always a bystander. Iâll not open my heart to that kind of person.â But she already opened her heart when she played Euphonium on the riverside with Kumiko before and said âyouâre like a Euphonium itself because you always connect and support peopleâ. And what Kumiko is doing in that scene, moreover, is the âcrossing the boundaryâ. Asuka knew kumiko always try to care people whoâs in trouble sincerely.
you know idk why this hurt so much when I first watched it, but now I realize that for a good minute I understood what it was like to love someone to death but not get along with them, siblings especially. I used to resent my brothers for some reason, but I never hated them. In fact, I loved them, still do, but when you love someone but a relationship with them means sailing in rocky waters, it really fucking hurts. that's how I ended losing so many friends. I've up and learned since then to cherish everyone and everything, but I'm still making the same mistakes. This is why Kumiko is best girl, and also why she's (personally) one of the most relatable characters in anime.

Tomoyo Kurosawa's performance was top notch.

Her seiyuu is so good. Makes me love the character even more.
She's only 22 years old.
I thought her performance throughout the show was spectacular. The expression in her voice is unlike anything else I've heard in anime. I have a number of favourite seiyuu but her performance was something else. She's also Phos in Houseki no Kuni. And back in March won best actress in the 12th seiyuu awards.
Thorml Honestly, I thought she was good, but not perfect.

Eli Fernandez I donât get this scene at all.
@@DivisonXx I'd imagine it's going to be a chore to sit through.

Orion Noiro Who knows? It could be an absolute bore to sit through due to pacing or something like that.

Serfo I thought the seiyuu was pretty good, but not perfect.
I read that one of the directors really liked expressing emotion by focusing on legs because itâs really hard to hide your feelings through body language.

Ahhhh, Kumiko...such an original and relatable character.
And Tomoyo Kurosawa's acting is amazing.

I really love that character. How beautiful and special could she be.

BLM NT I think the difference is that when Kumiko visited Asuka she didnât outright ask her to come back to the team.
the voice acting...somebody praise the voice acting...

you know idk why this hurt so much when I first watched it, but now I realize that for a good minute I understood what it was like to love someone to death but not get along with them, siblings especially.

This is the best scene of season2
Kumiko expressed her emotion realistically
The voice actor did a very good job.
