gonna go put on a candle, get wrapped up in a blanket, and contemplate death now
Hahaha the ending made me laugh so much. The darker the better!!
That Wuthuring Heights edition! 😍
Gotta up your game!!!
ohh that tea sounds delicious! woodland walks truly are the best 🌻
love your outfit btw
Thank you 🖤📖
I love Autumn! Got to get myself some of those witchy books, I love witches but it’s not a subject I’ve studied all that much. Also eager to learn more!
The way you talk about candles is the way your videos make me feel.. just warm and cosy ❤️
Thank you! I’m so glad to hear it 🖤
Loved this video. I have never read Wuthering Heights but as a result of this video I went out today and bought a copy. I have not read many classics but your obvious passion for this book encouraged me to try it and to see if I like it.
Stunningly beautiful!
Gorgeously mysterious!
Love the black lipstick!
Great video!
Monty Python.
She’s a witch!
She turned me into a newt!..... I got better.
If she floats in water....
then she’s A WITCH!
I really enjoyed The Familiars and I’m excited for the next one! This was such a wonderfully cosy video and I throughly enjoyed it ☺️ thanks for sharing!
I'm obsessed with candles and vendor wax melts, and I agree COMPLETELY that scent and ambiance are 100% necessary for a cozy, contented lifestyle. I also purchase plain white taper candles for my nightstand and I read by candlelight every night.
I've read a lot of these books, and the new Stacey Hall book The Foundling is currently on my nightstand tbr stack. If you enjoy neo historical gothic authors in the vein of Laura Purcell and Sarah Waters, I highly recommend British writer Essie Fox. Elijah's Mermaid, The Somnambulist, and The Goddess and the Thief are all (neo Victorian gothic) titles by her that I absolutely adore!
THE DREAM!
I love Wuthering Heights! Have fond memories of studying Bronte during A levels. Bronte's writing is amazing!
Such a cosy tag! 😍🍂
🖤🖤🖤
This edition of Weight Height is so gorgeous).
Thank you - it’s one of my most treasured Folios 📚
Claire thank you so much for doing this tag ❤️ loving the dark lipstick and your book picks were fab 👌🏼👌🏼
I'm so glad you started with Wuthering Heights, it's on my TBR for this season.
One of my favourites! Enjoy 📖
Oh I love the Essex Serpent! One of my favorite books.
I’ve read wuthering heights twice 😊 I like that mug actually! Thanks for recommending Tracey Borman, I downloaded a sample on my kindle and it looks really good so I might even get it.
I love Autumn, birthday next month
I have been looking everywhere for good witch books!! They’ve been surprisingly hard to find Also you remind me a bit like Helena bonem carter 💜
You've just made my day ahaha
The Virago Book of Witches by Shahrukh Husain is great if you're looking for witch related myths and folk tales. Gorgeous cover too haha!
@@spinstercatlady thank you! I will definitely check it out! :)
Yes! Great video. I love autumn, I love witches, what else could I ask for? For me this autumn is starting with a lot of Shirley Jackson. You really tempted me with Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell so maybe it will be next.
I’m just a minute in but I had to come say that you look gorgeous! Your hair and hat + the lipstick is beaaautiful 👌🏻
Love your makeup and Hair 🖤🖤
Thank you! 🖤
Thinking about death whilst being cosy... that’s not autumn, that’s a Weekday Standard for me 😂
Thank you for the tag - It shall be up soooooooooon
Same 🤣
Claire Fenby ❤️🔥❤️
Great recommendations :) Have you read Piranesi yet? It's quite different than Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell but just as perfect!
Emily Honer Planning to buy it once pay day arrives 📚🖤 I can’t wait!!
I just started one of Laura Purcell’s books-The Poison Thread (I think it’s called something entirely different in the UK). I’ve heard such good things about her and her books, especially The Silent Companion.
The ending of the video made me laugh - love it!
Yes, it’s The Corset here! What do you think? It’s on my TBR 📖
I've read all 3 of Purcell's gothic novels (Silent Companions, The Poison Thread/The Corset and Bone China/House of Whispers) and loved them! Her writing and themes are quite similar to Essie Fox, another favorite neo historical gothic author I highly recommend 👌
Claire Fenby I haven’t gotten very far (I was listening to the audiobook but think this is one I need to read the physical book for). I’ve heard only amazing things about it, though!
Must read for Autumn The Poison Thread by Laura Purcell.
So interesting that it has a different UK title - it’s The Corset over here
Loved the look, loved the video but it would be appreciated if you add the names of the books mentioned in the description box 😸. Since I am new to classics and your channel, I would love if you take this into consideration. Love your channel BTW, I've been looking for such content for a while now. Good job 😻
They are in the description 💖
@@Claire_Fenby sorry, my bad 😄. I didn't pay much attention. My sincere apology again 😊
Is The Silent Companions very scary? I’m considering ordering it because it sounds fantastic and I do enjoy spooky books but I can’t do like, very scary books. 😂
Definitely spooky rather than scary!
Claire Fenby Sounds perfect!! Thank you 💖
That one person who disliked, show yourself! 😤
No Name I tend to get a lot more so it’s all good 🤣
