I'm so happy you guys reacted to this song today. I've been yelling and arguing with God for over a month. A month ago, my father passed. That along with alot of other things going on in my family, alot of responsibilities have been put on my shoulders. Even before he passed I, a 25 year old, was taking care of both my mom and dad. I just don't understand why I had to watch my mom deal with breast cancer, and be practically crippled by the chemo. Then watch my dad slowly die from cancer. My mom is doing better, but she's nowhere near where she was before the chemo. She can't walk or anything.
I've been arguing with God. I've argued with my mom about how she can keep faith in a God that allowed us to go through all this. If he can heal her, why can't she walk? Why isn't she fully healed? Six years ago she started chemo. Six years he hasn't fully healed her.
But she keeps the faith. And I've been struggling. I don't understand it. But I'm trying to have faith. I'm trying so hard.
I don't want anyone to think I'm looking for pity. I just want everyone to know, that I'm trying too. I'm right there with you. We're trying. We are doing the best we can. Just keep trying. Just keep at it.

I did that since 2005 when the cops drug me outside at 4;30 a.m. to my dead brother hanging off our balcony & didn't realize the bitterness, anger and inforgiveness I harbored toward SO MANY PPL until this year. 17 years of refusing to listen to God Almighty, refuse to forgive w/grace that Jesus Christ forgave is all and saved us from eternity in hell and decades of AWEFUL physical torture beyond my Crohns Disease, migraines, and seizures. So imagine how hurt he was because he wants to be there to comfort you, he's "the great comforter;" he wanted to take that pain and rid it as far as east is from the west. But it's NEVER too late that whosoever call upon my name I'll hear my child's voice, and when it's the right time (usually after a good cleansing of our own sin and asking if forgiveness -- he'll commune with us.". He's our father -- Heavenly Father and what good and loving father WANTS to see ANY of his children suffer? With love in Christ Jesus, AMEN AMEN
My fiancé passed away at the beginning of this year. She was only 20 years old my best friend and she died from a freak accident. I argued with God a lot and even now I question him and wonder why he took her instead of me. I still can’t understand and it’s hard for me to strengthen my faith whenever I feel this pain of losing someone so important in my life. But I went from not praying in years to praying every night, morning and before I eat. I haven’t touched a church in years but now I’ve been there two Sunday’s in a row. I refused to read the Bible because it was written by man but now I have I read 5 pages everyday. It’s insane to think that God has a reason to take anyone from our lives so young and loving but we’ll never know unfortunately. I’ve been struggling a lot but receiving signs give me the strength to pull forward. Hopefully I’ll get use to being a lone because this shit still sucks but you have no choice other then to move on.

Remember this in your most difficult times. God never said that you would not have trials and tribulations, but He did PROMISE that He would be there for you! He never told anyone that they would have a long life, but HE did PROMISE that if you accept God's gift of Grace that Jesus would be there for you. Faith without trial is not faith. Faith must be tested to see who the TRULY faithful are. Go to God with your worries and concerns. Be honest with Him. Speak from your heart! He will comfort you!

Matthew 5 is a great reminder of how even though we are in a wretched world, we ARE blessed and will be BLESSED BEYOND OUR IMAGINATION in the afterlife.

I can’t tell you how giddy I was to see you guys react to this song!! As soon as I saw the notification, I dropped what I was doing to get on the video! My excitement was to see just how you guys took it in, and see if it was relatable to how it hit me. Officially, you guys made me smile through a very heavy song because I too look for what Eric said in that someone shares the same message, someone actually feels the same way I feel, and Dear God was a massive tennis racket to my face when I first heard it.

I remember when this song came out. My entire thoughts and ideas of Dax did a 180. His growth since then has been amazing. His entire album Pain Paints Paintings is amazing!
I think that some people think God doesn't want to hear frustrations but I heard a preacher say once that God is a big boy, he can handle it. You can't hide how you feel from anyway.

This is deep and I like it. I'm surprised by this one.
Years ago I had major doubts with god.
But I went through a very hard time and even with all my doubts I prayed. For strength and guidance.
And God gave it to me. I absolutely believe.
God is real. And I can feel his faith.
It’s a heavy song, it’s an awesome song and I relate to his message.
But God is coming soon part, should probably be taken in the perspective of God’s understanding of time. Not man’s understanding of time, but how God sees time.

I identified as an atheist for the first 32 years of my life. Hearing this song in 2019 was the first time I started to question my beliefs. Hearing a believer have the same questions and frustrations but in the end still be a believer was eye opening. Now I’m a very devoted Christian, I read the Bible 4-5 hours a week and it has transformed my pain and allowed me to heal. It really all started with this song.
You should follow this up with Dax's "Book of Revelation"... it is sort of a continuation to this stream of consciousness.

Even though I’ve pretty much moved on from “believing”, this was really good and he was spittin straight facts.
This song honestly hits hard, I’ve tried to turn to Christianity but he never came and helped at all, then I discovered deity’s and I actually am listened to and I actually feel there energy and presence, I found a spirituality that I connect with and never felt more hope in a higher power then the different gods and goddesses I work with, (I respect people’s religion as long as you respect mine so please no hate)

i would like to know more about what you feel/think hearing this song and why. I myself am not a believer at all so it didn't do anything for me.
