    Thank you for the video and explanation of the fault code and how to repair/replace it to fix it. Showing which bank the sensors are located was great. I may reach out for your info on a manual for a 2014 ML350 as I have the same P0016 code. Ill keep replacing any part if any other codes continue to show up.

      @@toco002I have a 2012 CLS 550 as well with the same code. I changed the cam sensors and magnets, but the problem persist. Do you know where the crankshaft position sensors are located, bank 1 sensor A?

      @@judahisrael8241were you able to fix it. I heard this issue is actually related to camshaft itself not the sensor

    • @judahisrael8241

      @@seankorg1024 haven't gotten around to fix it yet. But I have the shop manuals showing where the sensor is located and the steps to remove and replace. Interestingly, when the code appears I use my code scanner to erase the code and the car starts without any hesitation, which leads me to believe it is the sensor, could be wiring. But will be changing the sensor soon and will update then.

    What is the name of the sensor that you replaced?

    • @georgialdev1001
      @georgialdev1001 Před 2 lety

      Camshaft position sensor. Part# 2769051000. The m278/m157 has 4 of these, 2 on each side. When replacing these sensors (also reolace the solenoid magnets p#2761560790), wipe any oil from the electrical connectors' pins as it travels down the elec harness to the ecu

    • @georgialdev1001
      @georgialdev1001 Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@Sergo-ramos yes, ideally. The electrical sensors are much easier (more accessible) to replace than the magnetic pucks which i could not replace all. But the sensors are easy, mine were full of oil. Check them every oil change, ECU pins too.
