    I want to commend you on your style of teaching. I think that sometimes people forget that we newbies need to see each step of the process (instead of just speaking about - at least I do). I really appreciate you giving not only verbal instructions but a true step-by-step visual during each step of the process.

    Just found you tonight. Yes, I have been embroidering for a while but, have learned a lot from you. Always room to learn. Plus, I'm waiting on my Ricoma EM1010 to come. You are a GREAT teacher. Thanks for showing me how the machine works. I have 3 other Jamone also :)

    Thank you for the information. I've been searching on how to set the control panel for mighty hoops. All I've been able to find is how to hoop. Nice towels!

      I go through how I set the hoop in the video. I choose other but you can also choose a size that is similar if you have one. I have never created a custom sized hoop setting

      I believe the magnetic hoops are available for most multi needle machines but not single needle. If using a single needle I would float it as shown in my other video linked in video

      The Mighty Hoops work with all multi-needle machines as well as the single needle Brother Persona and Baby Lock Alliance.

    Thank you so very much for your tutorials. I have 2 specific questions: For a single needle home embroidery machine 1) what needle size would you recommend for super plush towels. 2) do you recommend 2 layers of tearaway?

    Wonderful video, thank you! One question - what size did you use for your font? I found the Magnolia Sky, but it only goes up to 2.5". Your examples look bigger. Are you using the 2.5" size for your names?

      I didn’t use one specific size. I changed them based on the names but most are about 4”-5” tall

      I used white. My thread is light grey so it really didn’t make much of a difference

      I’m not aware of backstitching on an embroidery machine ? There is tie in and tie offs which knot the beginning and ending stitches but that is programmed into the design not the machine

      I just used white but you definitely could use a color that matches your too thread. I usually stick to white or black bobbin. With the nap of the towel you barely notice it and this is such a light gray that it almost matches anyway

      You need software to make fonts thicker. Your best bet is to purchase thicker fonts

    How do you get the image from chroma to the flash drive?

      Once you’ve designed it, click file, save as. Name it and choose the flash drive that you have plugged into your computer. On a Mac you have to change the extension to .dst. On windows I believe you can choose dst from the drop down menu

    How long does it take to do one towel?

      Tough to answer as it Depends on the name and the size and the machine. My machine can stitch up to 1000 stitches per minute. Some are even faster and some are slower. the font is also a factor in how long it takes to stitch.
