ithaca is a small town, however it is very progressive and has everything to do from great restaurants to waterfalls!ithaca is truly gorges!! highly recommend cornell (or ithaca college) if you don’t mind 6 months of snow and like feeling welcomed in a community.

Yooooo. This video is clutch. I’m applying to Cornell early for architecture and I’ve been stressing a lot. I’m almost done and tbh, I’ve been overwhelmed and sometimes, I wanted to quit. I just realised, if I get in next year then I would have exactly the same plan. I'm also planning on going into CS at Arts and Sciences with no real idea of my future and it's nice to see others with the same plan.

I've attended Cornell during the summer college program. its a huge college. I still remember the hilltop slope from the dorm to uris hall. awesome scenery and lots of walking . I've ended up attending Syracuse university.
Thank you so much for this video, it's February of my senior year and I'm having some days of feeling weighed down by deciding where I want to go to college and having to balance financial aid with where I want to go, then I saw some video about how awful Cornell is and I started to have second thoughts even though it has been my top school for years, but this video has made me realize that everyone has different experiences and rekindled my love for Cornell. I shouldn't base my decision on the opinions of a few people

After what happened to the freshman last week, it would probably be good to talk about our mental health places that you can go to. Gannett doesn’t always have a good rep, but there are so many other places and people who are there for you besides Gannett. I feel like this is super important to tell incoming freshman and prospective students as people really don’t realize how stressful and hard some classes can be especially when you choose a big competitive fast paced high rated school. I know people think they know what it’s like but it’s important to stress the other resources available for mental health here at Cornell. (Idk if you’ve already made a video on this)

We don’t even know if he did that intentionally. He was last seen at a frat, and he could have been drunk or on something else.
Greg even if he didn’t commit suicide, it still needs to be made aware. There was another person two years ago who died the week before he was about to graduate. There are plenty of other ways people commit suicide here like drug overdoses which also happened sometime in the last two years. The fact is there are so many people who end up with suffering mental health and don’t believe there are other opportunities. And I think it should be told again especially to new and prospective students that this is something that a lot of us suffer from

Yale university has several colleges but they are set up like those in the UK where the college is kind of like a ‘dorm’ you live in not an area of study.
There are 12 College’s at Yale - they are a lot mote than dorms
Jet Jock that’s why I put the quotes around it. My brother is there and he loves JE. He never stops talking about being part of the college. they do tons of stuff together. It’s still set up more like the UK and not at all how Cornell is
Susanna Osinski Yale has a robust curriculum in all disciplines...just like Cornell...yes, they are not called colleges at Yale, true...but there’s an equal array of academic offerings obviously with some exceptions like Yale does not have hotel management or labor relations programs. Bottom line is Yale has vast academic programs along with the support of the 14 resident colleges that include academic support.
Jet Jock I know. The point is how the ‘colleges’ are structured. Either in the way Cornell is where they are subjects of study or Yale has colleges in a different sense benign residential. I’m not saying Yale doesn’t have a wide variety of material to study. I’m not putting down the school at all. Just saying how they differ which is good for prospective students to know because they will be spending 4 years in that type of environment

Hi Sophia! Yes, I think it's because I've consumed a lot of content (books, videos, media) in English and I spoke English with my friends so I got to practice a lot. Also creating videos in English helped me refine my speaking! Now, I study in the US and am surrounded by the language everyday. Also welcome to my channel hehe :)

I can’t get into Cornell sadly. Cornell is too selective and I don’t have the gpa or act score to get in. And even the transfer process is too selective. And Cornell as well as the other ive league schools have only brilliant people for which I am not.
Hey, it's not true that you're not brilliant. You just may not have found WHAT makes you brilliant yet. I faced this struggle early in middle school, which is why I was able to do better in high school, but everyone learns about themselves at different paces. Don't beat yourself up and stay open because I'm 100% sure you have something going for you and an "ivy league" college doesn't need to validate that. Good luck!

You won’t know until you try dude... everyone has their own unique traits and like me, grades was not one of them. I got into cornell with a 30 on act, 1460 on sat, and 3.5 unweighted GPA. Definitely not the top student, and they accepted me!! I think it’s because I showed them my interest in the school, and my passion. They don’t only want to know how good you are as a student, but they want to know that you are determined and that you will do something in this world after your education life there. If you still can apply, show them exactly that and believe in yourself. I know you got this and I’m rooting for you, don’t discourage yourself! 😏

sofie garcia my curricula’s... well I am a computer science and business major just to get that out of the way. I did a business before where I bought a lot of ice cream then sold it in my own stall in a market for maybe 3 summers. I used to sell website hosting and then I did graphic design too. I was the president of our school’s environmental club and coding club. I guess that’s all the major clubs I did... for my essay, it was actually quite interesting and I felt like it was either a hit for them or a complete miss. I talked about how I liked to build lego then I related it to using code as the “lego pieces” to create something that will create a “build” or make impact in the real world... it was weird but it some how got me in so I’m grateful
