- * * * Documenting one of the Hidden Natural Hot Springs in Iceland - Skatalaug - Lets take a bath * * *
Skatalaug is a hot spring found in the Reykjanes Peninsula, known for its incredible geothermal activities. It’s easy to miss if you don't know where to look and what you need to look for.
One of the Icelandic Scouts Rescue Teams dug for a natural pool near warm geyser in the 7 decade and the pool is still there. The water is originated from a hot spring source not far away. The temperature is around 34 °C. The water flow ends in a small hot spring which is about 2.5 m in diameter from there it runs to a bigger hot spring, 10x5x0,9 m.
Somewhere around 35 to 45 people can bathe at the same time but there is no changing clothes facilities but you can leave your clothes on the grass.

That pool looks really isolated. I love the way that the steam from the hot water freezes as it comes into contact with the vegetation alongside the water channels decorating its route. So many places to enjoy in your country. Best wishes from the UK.
