It's kind of nice seeing you talk about books you are loving but have dnfed for the time being. I do this a lot and sometimes I think temporary dnfs are very different from hard dnfs!!

oh my gosh same with book of night for me i really want to finish it but i also zoned out during an audiobook listen and then read other things instead
I'm a mood reader and pick books to read because of vibes. I picked up Kitchen Confidential earlier this year and after the first two essays I just wasn't connecting with it. I almost got into a reading slump so I switched to fantasy which perked me up significantly. I'll pick up Bourdain's work later in the year

Pretty much any book I have DNFed (which is a few) I do intend to return to which include the Gemma Doyle trilogy, His Fair Assassin's trilogy (those two I skimmed the last books) and the Code Name Verity duology
One series that I started but never finished is the shadowhunter series. I read the first three books, but it just didn't stick, so I never continued with it. I want to, though, maybe someday, because you make it sound intriguing. Being an INFJ as well, I have noticed that we have a similar taste in books a lot of the time

I'm still holding onto the hope that I will FINALLY finish "Throne of Glass" as I am now on book five like 300 pages in. aaaannnnndddd I am on week 2 or 3 of a pause because now I am in the mood for Agatha Christie lmao XD. Perhaps I will finished "Empire of Storms " this week... maybe. And by the way this is my 3rd or 4th time trying to read this series all the way through. I really do enjoy the books, I just always end up in a different book mood by the time I get to book 4 lmao.
I had Heir of Fire paused for 7 years and then finally finished the series. So don't give up hope 😉

Whether or not you choose to read The Body Keeps The Score, there are several studies mentioned in the book that are worth a read
adhd reading is getting 100 pages in and putting it down and accidentally dnf it or pick it back up 6 months later and finishing it in two days
Scythe started out so good with so much potential. Unfortunately it went downhill for me. I finished the series...but man... i was not expecting it to go that route and a little disappointing.

I kept DNFing Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco. It is not a bad book, I think it's because of my mood, and my mind keeps saying "Don't read it if you're not in a mood" and then I put it down. I do want to finish the series completely because I must be the only one not finishing the series 😮😮
oooh i also stopped at i think book 3 of the series! glad i'm not alone in that ahaha

I have two types of DNF. 1. it was boring. 2. it was too exciting and I don't want to finish it because I don't want it to end. 😅
I do not think This Close to Okay is worth going back and finishing haha, that book pissed me off.
One book I dnfed and want to go back to is When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris. I went into it not knowing who David Sedaris was and the book was just weird and didnt keep my attention, but now ive heard him speak and understand his ethos a bit better and i think i would read it differently
