  • Spinal decompression is an accepted therapy performed by chiropractors to help with disc bulges and degenerative disc disease. Gently elongating the spine, back and forth (intermittently), can take pressure off of nerves as well as provide more nutrition and hydration to the discs of the spine.

      Hi Megan. Intermittent decompression would be hard to do on your own. Ideally, you're relaxed while there is a gentle elongation happening. However, there are some methods such as bending forward over a swiss ball. There is also the idea of using an inversion table, however, you won't get the back and forth movement (intermittent) with that. I like you're question and may consider adding a video soon with some ideas that would come close.
