self-absorbed, speeding, and drunk - many of these drivers hit that trifecta
I think many are first generation drivers on poorly designed roads in crappy cars. They must have a no fault system if you can drive your heap away from the scene.
@@martinphilip8998 There's little or no driver (nor pedestrian) education there...many times licenses are obtained by paying a "roof", meaning a bribe; there's no minimum competency standard. Also there are no standards for vehicle exhausts.

Seems like you slipped a few American drivers in there too.
Given Russians' obsession with the color red it's mindboggling how often they keep missing red lights, stop lights, red stop lights … Or they just keep misinterpreting it out of obstinate nostalgia. Even those who clearly are too young to remember.

One has to keep in mind that in Russia dashcams are much more widely spread than elsewhere as a means to cope with corrupt police, so red light incidents get recorded more often. They contribute quite a bit to crashes elsewhere as well, especially on behalf of people who use their smartphones at the wheel.
Something I do see separating the Russian dashcam videos from clips from elsewhere is the number of reckless overtaking (A case that without a doubt ended in fatalities seen at 3:02, another bad incident at 5:17 ), road rage incidents, so sheer aggression of individuals, drunk driving and cars basically falling apart. When trucks and tractors lose wheels the wheel bolts were overtorqued for years before failing, when cars spin out on hard braking their brake systems have not been looked after in ages, all the cracked windscreens, bonnets slamming open as their retainer hooks corroded away, cars spilling petrol and catching fire…
For some weird reasons people there seem to tend to ignore dangerous situations developing as well. Is this a result of stubbornness or plain stupidity? 😵💫

I think it’s interesting that many cars here already have cracked windshields before they get demolished. They need a company like Windscreens O’Brien to repair windshields as it seems this type of company hasn’t entered the Russian market. Most windscreen repairs are insurance jobs … perhaps there are no motor insurance companies either.

А при чем тут скорость? 90% из показанных аварий - дятел ни стого ни с сего тупо кинул свою таратайку посреди дороги. В том же Бундесе за такое без прав пожизненно останется. А тут скорость виновата.
