⚡ Please, let me know what you think of this video and what artist you want me to cover next? 🙂
Wow. You are the best. 😍🤩 Is there anywhere to buy the 9pm guitar preset for serum? And thx for this Video 🤝
Because i don't have Ableton. I use FL Studio
This Project give me ideas! Thanks Will!
Huge fan of your work , I’ve learn a lot from your videos , I hope those tutorials were available 7-8 years before.
What about a tutorial about blk rse sound (KAAZE) or Hardwell sound (especially Hardwell master are masterpieces)
Is that possible ?
Very thorough step by step replication of the gnere and her style
"If you got an audience of 1 person that loves it, a.k.a. you. You can't lose"- Hardest quote in the video. I can't tell you how many times others have tried to direct my own music into something that they like and not me. I'm getting better at disagreeing with them and doing what I like and it's made me feel better about my own productions, work flow, and music overall.
You’re actually too funny 🤣 these tutorials are GOLD ⭐️
Thanks, Jake! 😆
you're always killing these tutorials. thank you for the deep dives
WOW! 🤩 This is so unique and you are something! I am loving it! thanks for giving it for us upcoming artists. I love it
The quality on these videos is absolutely insane, I've learned so much from these videos and always take away at least one new thing every time. Keep it up legend!!
Thanks for watching and for the kind words of support 🙂
I was in my twenties in the nineties and the dance music was brilliant, The 909, 303 M1 was used heavily in a lot of tracks back then. i had an atari st connected to a few sound modules to create music. its mad now how all the classic gear is available in vst format. Great tutorial mate, you dont look a day over 28 😃
You are simply awesome, Will!! Thanks for another insightful tutorial!!
Love this video. I listed Peggy Gou as one of my favourite producers on the questionnaire for the Accelerator Course only yesterday morning and then you post this! Yes! Thanks as always for such well made videos. Looking forward to the course.
Hahah, I aim to please 😇 Glad you enjoyed it! 👌🏻
Your stuff is inspirational. Was feeling very depressed.. and you got my curiosity going again... wanting to get back to experimenting. Thank you
You're very welcome, I am glad my video inspired you to create again! 🙌🏻
Great video Will, and great sounding too! Took me back to the old school.
Definitely you've got the groove in your veins.
Thanks for your videos.
Please, never stop doing this
Appreciate it! 🙌🙏
Thanks as always for watching and supporting the channel🙂
Stumbled across this tutorial and loved it - love your presentation style and humour too! One new subscriber and I'll check out your others now!
been listening to Peggy for a long time, she is great!
Great to hear some positive feedback for a change!
so good! Thanks mate! Love the gym and reps analogy 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you, I am really glad you liked it! 🙂
appreciate the in-depth video brother! M1 sounds are legendary for a reason... they always sound good!!
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
This is ace... love your style and silly jokes!! You learn so much easier when it's as fun as this. Brilliant.
I am glad you liked it! 🙂Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙌🏻
She surely got a good production team at work
Yeah she's blowing up because she's attractive and has great ghost producers and a great PR team
You surely are a jealous misogynist no?
As you can see Will not need 💪
@@WillyJunior Bingo 100%.
if I recall, she actually does her own production.
Hi Will, another amazing tutorial, I have just started on my production journey after 25 years of DJing and these videos are extremely helpful and informative!!! I would love it if you did a Sammy Virji bouncy garage or even an old school garage tutorial!! Thanks so much for all the effort you put into the channel!
Great suggestion, Steven, I will add this to my list and let's see how many people will vote for it! 🙂
M1 is still one of the best VST's, you can recognize it's unique sounds in every song. Nice video as always.
I agree, and thank you!
M1 is the King💯💞
I still remember drooling over an M1 in a music shop in the late 90's.
I went back and forth on the M1 and the Ensoniq VFXsd. Eventually went with the VFXsd, which is good since I now have the M1 on my iPad and have the best of both.
What is the M1??
Awesome video like always, Will. And you are right, many music producers rediscover the sound of the Golden Era of the Nineties. I'm currently rediscovering the sound of General Base and other heroes of this time. And in the end it's a lot of fun to drive back into the wonderful time of "Reach for the lasers". Thank you very much.
You're welcome, glad you liked it! Thanks as always for watching and supporting the channel 🙂🙌🏻
Don’t know why people are arguing about Peggy blowing up over night. Yes she was kind of popular but not with the mainstream. Since Na na na she is now huge. Obviously it’s not over night but you can see there’s been a shift to mainstream because she’s in the charts
That track is not nearly as interesting as previous others, but eh, it went far because it's akin to 90s eurodance and lots of people are nostalgic of the 90s. I think ! It's a more mainstream sound than what she used to put out, even though she had some disco and feel-good songs out already
Awesome stuff..as always Will! love that Serum guitar bend!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed :)
Thanks Will, that’s a really great tutorial👍. You have such an inspiring way of sharing your knowledge 🙏
Greetings from Hamburg
Thank you, and you’re welcome!
TBF she has been one of the biggest names in dance music since 2016. I wouldn’t say she popped up overnight, but the rest of the video is completely fire ❤
the million dollar marketing budget by her "management" team didn't hurt her getting on every festival lineup :I
The First time I heard of her
E X A T C L Y @@bassguitar2709
Yeah this is what I thought, she's been around the scene for years. She just finally got some funds for a marketing campaign I guess
nope the marketing campaign began wayyyy back my friend@@street1599
I mean I would argue she was not “relatively obscure”. Although she didn’t have the streams she does now, she was already a pretty popular dj with great tracks :)
Industry plant
I concur. She was quite a well known DJ prior to releasing her own tracks. Some misogynist critique on here. Don’t recall seeing any criticism of male artists on here. Jealousy and misogyny.
Agreed! She had been playing all of the major festivals for years and is a well known and respected artist. Her latest track is what’s been blowing up; it’s so good all of the headliners have also been playing it nonstop, in addition to social media doing it’s thing to promote it.
@@wavey_official That track is not nearly as interesting as previous others, but eh, it went far because it's akin to 90s eurodance and lots of people are nostalgic of the 90s.. it's not overly cheap either. But she has more interesting songs, to me. Maktoop is one of my favourites. Itgehane too. She used to have that 80s edge and I loved that she played old school electro and sometimes acid in her sets
Great stuff as ever Will.
This is amazing man! Thank you!
Appreciate it! 🙌🙏
you are the best, Will !!! Thank you for sharing / Especislly liked that ATB sound
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it! 🙂🙌🏻
Will, great video. I learn something from each one. Thank you! (And I was wishing for an epic thunderclap at the end of the loop, timed with the end of the video. 😂)
Boss your tutorials are helpful and your humour is top! haha thank you for the amazing videos.
Another great vid Will - Peggy Gou reminds me of Pete Herbert , that classic old school style. Really enjoyed this tutorial and the insight to when she made it (after 500 tracks). Thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Someone gets it.
You’re very welcome!
Thanks for all your content!
You’re welcome!
Man that 9pm guitar sound 😅😢don't stop... gives the feels to this day love it. Sick little track man keep up the good work. Your work ethic is really something 👏
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for the kind words of support, really appreciate it! 🙌🏻
haha whenever I play with the pitch wheel it always reminds me of ATB and I end up imitating those songs, so much fun 🤣
Hah, now I can hear that too 😂
@EDMTips there's nothing wrong with that mate , legendary sound
Appreciate it! 🙏🏻
Her mixes over the years are stellar.
never heard her mix vinyl...
@@bassguitar2709 Lol a classic "they don't know how to mix vinyl" hater comment! Who the f cares? No one on the dance floor cares. I'm a hard core rare disco vinyl collector for 20 years and even I don't f-ing care. It's about how good you play: taste in music, song selection/programming, atmosphere, originality, reading the room and so on. Mixing comes last. Also, there are mixes of her where she plays vinyl, like the Giant Steps night she did. Probably not what you're looking ofr as she just plays songs she likes and is not really mixing, but that wasn't the point of the night either.
Fantastic content as always, thank you.
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it! 🙂🙌🏻
Thankyou so much for everything u do, its helped me SO much, i just released my first track on spotify under my House name and i used SO many of ur tutorials, thankyou!
You’re welcome, glad my videos have helped you so far 🙌🏻 Congratulations on your release! 👏🏻🎉
Thanks for this video !I produced dance music in the late 80s to early 2000. The Rolamd TR-909 drum machine was the sound of house music. TR- 808 for hip hop and rap. Yamaha RX7 was common too. Early Detroir house groups such such as Inner City, Kevin Saunderson had very little budget and used 8 bit samplers such as Ensoniq Mirage. Inner city Big Fun used stock samples from the Mirage. European house dance had more synth. Acid house signature resonant baselines was TB-303.. MC-202. Basically low cost mainstream gears back in late 80s and early 90s. I knew them well and I had most of these gears and was producing back in the days. We had no internet before and got our info from magazines such as Electronic Musician. Most artists were underground artists and dj/producers and cannot afford expensive synths and samplers. It was a great era and thanks for this video! Brings back good memories.
You're welcome, I am really glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Agreed, those were the good times 🙌🏻
What a great video. To be honest, it sounds just like early ATB as well. Thanks for pointing out how to do the bendy notes like he does.
You're welcome, glad you found it helpful 🙌🏻
couldn't focus, due to the good puns whilst producing this tune, but learnful and awesome to follow after. Really sweet
Might need to watch the second time 😬
Crazy I went to watch this video 2 months ago and stopped. Im old and this way of making songs is the way I want to. Many thanks and im back to finish. Thank you again agian and again.
You're welcome, I am glad you decided to come back to it :)
Thank you for the amazing video!
You're welcome, glad you liked it! 🙂
this beat sounds amazing!!
MAN you are awesome! Many skills i learned from you
Stoked to hear that! Thanks for watching and supporting 🙂🙌🏻
Peggy’s got aura behind the decks - she knows how to kick start a party and keep energy high
Nice to see a comment beyond she is a girl and she has rich parents 🙌🏻
Seriously I don’t find her tracks a banger. Her drop is not even lit. It’s just for posers who pretend to dance and drink champagne in the VIP area to be seen.
Each to their own, I guess, everyone is entitled to their opinion :)
@@AyvaElysse Dude thinks DJing is about having "lit drops" LOL
I'm from Los Angeles where it almost NEVER rains (except for the month of January). Please don't ever apologize for the sound of rain in the background, it's music to my ears lol. It honestly makes me a little jealous hearing the soothing sound of rain which is such a rare commodity where I live.
Haha, I'll be willing to swap for a month or two. It's been super rainy this year in the UK 😁
Thanks a million Will ❤
This style takes me back to simpler happier times!
🙌😎
Very good tips as usual :)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed :)
Love peggy shes refreshing because she's not super serious all the time which makes the music more fun to listen to.
Great tutorial spot on
Youre Perfect definition of creativity
Appreciate it! 🙌🙏
Brilliant channel mate ❤️
Cheers! :)
Insinuates a little that she’s just come out of nowhere this year. I watched her play Circo Loco in 2019 at DC10 and by then she was already a house hold name within electronic dance music. Pretty sure her early releases date back past 2016 as well
before 2010. and yes i agree this presentator is minimising the effor that peggy puts in her music, and to be honost eventhough this presentator says he can mimick it, he cant ever.
I didn't insinuate any of that :)
@@ahit6903 before 2010? lol, where?
instant sub dude. you are the man!
Thank you so much, really appreciate the support! 🙌🏻
Loving that FX drum tip
Glad you liked it! 🙂
I love it!! I love long videos
The 90s was the best era for music imo. Yes the tracks were less complicated but they still stand up to many current tracks. Cheers for the video lots of golden nuggets. Keep em coming
Thank you, Jack, I am glad you enjoyed it!
I have to agree as 90s have a massive influence on me too 🙌🏻🙂
Hahah, one day, my friend, one day! 🙌🏻

Amazing video! trying to learn how to produce with Ableton... This video gave great insights!! could you experiment in hard techno genres as well maybe?
I feel you. Old man ❤
the vocal you said "get out" was my absolute fav of all of them but :)) yea, what can you do, it still sounds super duper. i digg
i would really like this to be an actual track, would super listen to it. like... this is good; good good if u get what i mean xd
Thanks for the kind words! Perhaps, I ought to finish it soon :)

Hey jo, fun fact at that time ive watching this video it starts raining a lot here in Germany✌ 😅 ive made an inspired song from that Peggy Gou style myself ! But in FL Studio 😉 Thank you for all the videos !
When the song popped up first time on my Spotify --> "That atb guitar tho... Well played"
Agree, that M1 official Korg synth is awesome, and a really fair price

When you said "I know it sounds a bit gash at the minute."
I aint heard that expression for years, proper nineties!!
I did giggle to my self. 😊
Loved the video, and it's interesting to see how other people work.
Thank you, I am really glad you liked it! 🙂
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙌🏻
Her PR game is crazy that's why shes blowing up
Nice that you do everything from the beginning and don't skip any steps! I was just thinking are there plugins that you used all for free or come with Ableton Suite? For example I am not sure the Serum plugins you used are free.
Great question! I try to do a mix od native and third-party plugins in my tutorials.
Serum is not free but you can get it relatively cheaply by signing up for their rent to buy model.
Hello gun's. Tank you theather!👌
Best production in the world bro truly got my mind blowin
This will make history
Lol
Cheers!
Nice...im old and know all these sounds from the past. ATB and PvD were somehow my Inspiration back in the end of the 90s. I was still a metal head with long hair. But i loved Electronic Music since the 80s...my first love was Depeche Mode. But thats why i prefere making things a bit more simple too. It stresses me too much when a producer is trying to show off his skills. Important for me is finding the right 5 sounds and make a feel and atmo out of it. If music gets too wild and complicated then my brain shuts down. Im sure you know what i mean? 😉
ATB just released a new track...do you like it, will ??? I love it...❤☮☯❤☮☯❤
Nice. You're genius

Peggy Gou’s production secrets: Ghost Producer.
Well you’re misogyny is no secret now.

Well i be buggered this type of music still relevant Yeah used to make quite a lot of this type stuff back in mid nineties till early 2000's must dig some of it out lol. Midi certainly come a long way since then to. Learn't a few interesting to me things in this vid today especially what can be done with midi stuff now Maybe time to start working on this again if still relevant Yep u certainly inspire me today with this
you are amazing ,
So are you!
This was very good! Thank you very much for sharing this with us. I wish to ask if you may make a video talking about the common misconceptions or fallacies of EDM music i.e "EDM music is a talentless genre no creativity, all you need is just computer, bleep bloop sounds put them together and there you are done" or " EDM music is just pop music but with electronic sounds" or this one which is, "EDM music is not timeless, a lot of EDM songs are forgettable and no substance, etc"
Ironically, you have just proven all of these misconceptions that I have said wrong just in this video and some of your other videos making peoples songs or your own song from scratch but it would be nice if you could do a brief detailed video just ripping apart all the fallacies and/or misconceptions of EDM music that are online.
Thank you very much once more for this video! Salute from Wisconsin in the USA!
I mean It’s dance music. I love it but it’s run it’s course in many ways.
