Can't wait for him to react to Legs
Guarantee he’s heard it given his mention of WWE into music in other vids and we all know a certain long legged women used legs as her walk out music
😂
Yep 😂😂😂
YES! ❤️
Or the Tube Snake Boogie!
"Beer drinkers and hellraisers" "I'm bad. I'm nationwide" "cheap sunglasses" "La Grange".... Just a few of ZZ-top's anthems that must be heard.
Yes! React to them all!
La Grange for sure.
I always loved "TV dinners"
@@shawnh9590Might have to fill BP in on the background story. Lol.
No doubt, La Grange!
ZZ Top....best driving music in history
Love zz top but best driving music still belongs to bob seger. 😎
Speeding ticket music
ZZ Top is the Southern Rock group that never fails to give, and give HARD!
I can’t wait till he reacts to pearl necklace
😂mum's the word.
Yeah that will be a good one. Hahaha
I worked at our police station here In Australia in 1989 and heard the guys say something about a Pearl necklace and I didn’t know what it was and they wouldn’t tell me 😂. I went home and asked my hubby, who was furious that they had even mentioned it in front of me 🤣 but he did tell me what it was. 15 years with the police and it took me 9 years to hear about that, still cracks me up laughing.
Tube Snake Boogie would be a great one too!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dead Heads are fans of the Grateful Dead. i went to a ZZ Top concert years ago, worth it!!!
The Walking Dead!! 🤣
Took my mom and girlfriend at the time to see ZZ Top. What an absolute blast.
It’s decades ago, but it was so much fun. I won’t ever forget this concert! 👍😎🎸
Billy Gibbons still owns the 33 Ford Coupe Eliminator to this day. He's quite the collector of hot rods.
false. the eliminator sadly got stolen and then destroyed in a wreck in the 90s, but was replaced by the cadzilla
Got my first speeding ticket to ZZ Top's "Under Pressure"...so much energy
Got me under pressure is a PUT IT UP a must in the ride 🤘🏽😎
Billy Gibbons also had a recurring role on the TV show "Bones" as Angela's father .....
And wasn't Dusty a recurring character on King of the Hill?
They also appeared in Back to the Future 3. They were only going to visit the set, but since they fit in with the western look with their long beards they got to be part of the band and played an old time version of one of their songs in the film.
@@user-nm8jj1bn3q They played themselves in King of the Hill, Dusty Hill was supposed to be Hank Hill's cousin.
They were also on Two and a Half Men
@emerje0 Double Back, the theme song of the film, they played a bluegrass cover version at the dance.
Ya gotta listen to LaGrange!!! ZZTop is awesome!
Yes that is one of my favorite song of theirs and I love the fact that they never played in LaGrange, Texas until last year as long as they have been out .
About a famous Texas brothel!I believe it’s called The Chicken Ranch or, something like that.Zz Top are American music legends
La Grange is the best, a tribute to John Lee Hooker
The car and the pretty women were a theme for his entire album, "Eliminator" and it was closely tied in to the launch of MTV. The whole package was HUGE.
The drummer Frank Beard is the one who doesn't have an actual beard. The other two are Billy Gibbons on guitar and Dusty Hill on bass. Dusty passed away 2021.
And they brought in a new bass player . His name is Elwood.
@@captainmoretokin2172 Not only that, but Dusty actually named Elwood Francis his successor. Elwood had worked for ZZ for years as the occasional background musician and equipment manager. He hadn't worked for them for the last decade, but the minute he heard about Dusty's request, he came running.
The car was a 1933 Ford model A called the Eliminator it was in several videos.
Speaking of bad ass cars, if you’ve never seen Billy Gibbons Cadzilla, Do yourself a favor and look it up on CZcams that thing is insane.
With the custom Kenny Youngblood paint job!
I thought it was a tricked out Chrysler PT Cruiser. Thanks for clarifying it.
@@cr16219
OH GOD, NOOOO
That's an insult! 😅
Don't forget the SBC power plant!
It’s 80’s music !!! My era ! All natural women ! No BBL , Boob jobs , nor weaves !! lol 😂
EXACTLY!!!!!
Yes ! But LOADS of AquaNet 😂
💯FACTS!
The 70's, at their finest!!!!
Totally true.. my era music too.. Br. from Finland
You were talking about ZZ top being angels...I have a great story along those lines. My daughter flew to a different state to meet up with her grandpa to go to a ZZ Top concert. Well, the tickets were sold out so he didn't get any. My daughter was all bummed out and was talking about how much she wanted to see them. They're walking in the airport, and a guy with a beard is walking next to them. He heard that she was disappointed with not getting tickets, and he stopped them and handed them two tickets to the concert. My daughter thanked him and asked him who he was, and he said God lol. 😊
Love your story. I’m sure she’ll never forget! Thank you for telling it.😊
Great story! 😃👍
" I'm A Rough Boy " great guitar playing by Billy.
Early years (1969-1972)
Gibbons particularly noticed B.B. King and Z. Z. Hill and thought of combining the two into "ZZ King", but considered it too similar to the original name. He then figured that "king is at the top" which gave him the idea of naming the band "ZZ Top"
They played with Hendrix.... that's how far they go back.
@@skwervin1 yeah, crazy isn't it?
The idea was also to be last in record shops. So their records would always be easy to find.
I thought Z.Z. Hill came in there somewhere
@@AdamMPick Oh, now that makes sense. Good marketing.
Wait till he sees those fuzzy spinning guitars
You would have loved being alive in the 60s and 70s. The music was always the best.
In the North anyway. People that looked like BP in the south were living a hard life.
Pearl Necklace, ZZTop Bro, you owe it to yourself !!!!!
The drummer is called Frank Beard
"Your addicted to love", is by Robert Palmer
True . his name is Frank Beard . He's the drummer. My brother won 60 bucks from him rolling the bones after the concert in Casper, Wy. My brother was a drummer R.I.P. Brother
R.I.P
Frank walked up to my beastie as he smoked a doobie on the sea wall in Huntington Beach CA.
Ask to join in.
Was in town in 94' playing The Forum that night.
Cool ass dude.
The band who can make the blues into party music. Keep going with them!
'80s ZZ Top like this song is fun, but their best stuff is from the "70s. I recommend "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide", "Cheap Sunglasses", or "Lowdown in the Street" as just a few of their awesome '70s output.
Agreed. Early 70's ZZ is the bomb. Best classic you omitted, though. "Waitin' On The Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago" defines this 'little ol' band from Texas.'
ZZ TOP owns this car
They called themselves ZZ Top, a name whose origins are shrouded in mystery though it is thought to be either a hybrid of Zig Zag and Top cigarette rolling papers or a tribute to blues singer Z. Z.
Hill was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of ZZ Top in 2004. He died in 2021 after a period of declining health. In line with his wishes, he was succeeded by the band's longtime guitar tech Elwood Francis.. drummer name was Frank Beard.
Their name is a twist on BB King
The ZZ Top Eliminator Girls are Kymberly Herrin, Playboy Playmate September 1982 (who passed away in 2022), Jeana Keogh (formerly Tomassina), Playboy Playmate November 1980 and one of the original Real Housewives of Orange County, and Daniele Arnaud, who is now a College Professor teaching French.
Geez have you been stalking these old ladies, lmao jk
@@kylewhite2985 Well since I’m just a little younger than them…I don’t consider them that old! 🤣
Imagine putting this on your resume 🤣
Kym Herrin also had bit parts in Ghostbusters and Romancing the Stone, if I recall - both non-speaking roles.
Now for some fun: for those that don't know, there was a song on Sesame Street called " Z Z Blues " - good music - by a 'band' called 'Over The Top '
Brought to you by the letter Z 😅
LaGrange is my personal favorite
Cheap Sunglasses for me.
When I get a new sound system, the first thing I play is La Grange to check that the bass is up high enough to get the true rummmbllllle!. If your breastbone isn't thumping, it ain't set high enough!
Just 3 guys from Texas we call it Texas rock !!!
You're gonna love Tube Steak Boogie....
I just realized that every ZZ Top video is a 4-minute Mentos commercial.
😂
Robert Palmer “Addicted To Love “.
Or my favorite "Simply Irresistible" the video of which is what Shania Twain's "Man! I feel like a woman" was paying homage to or parodying. I'm a sucker for those sword sounds.
At one point in time they were Guinness Book of World Records. Loudest 3 man group in history.
ZZ Top is the granddads of southern Rock, this was their 80’s version that attempted to crossover with the disco era!
one of my favorite rock bands! i'm from Chicago 53 year old Black Woman love ZZ Top! i love all kind of music i got into to music like this when i was 8 years old! so glad u are getting into music like this!
For many years I thought they were saying "Every girl's crazy about a *shot glass man*" it wasn't until I asked my a friend who was a big fan of ZZ Top what they meant by shot glass man and he busted up laughing and told me it's "sharp dressed man" then it all made sense.
So you didn't make a connection to the song title then?
Not with this song but my misheard lyric was Nights in White Satin....I never understood why knights would wear white satin to battle....
@VictorPM1550 Nope, I didn't get into ZZ Top until later in life, and I never actually knew the song title.
@MichaelNaydeck Lol as a kid I thought the same thing but figured it out after a while.
Their music is always put up full blast in my car riding down the hughway👍
I’m so proud that the younger generation is listening to my music. This is what you call real music. Thanks for you awesome review 🥰
Wiki - Gibbons particularly noticed B.B. King and Z. Z. Hill and thought of combining the two into "ZZ King", but considered it too similar to the original name. He then figured that "king is at the top" which gave him the idea of naming the band "ZZ Top".
I’ll say it again…Blue Jean Blues. Different vibe but amazing musicianship
Agree!
This is ZZ Top 2.0. Go back and listen to the 1.0 version.
Watch live from Darryls house. That is Darryl Hall. The people who come and play with him are all great in their own right.
Used to watch it on late night TV. Saw Hall and Green doing "Crazy" and was hooked.
"That Little Ol' Band from Texas" was the badge of honor they wore on every stage.
First time I’ve heard a reactor to ZZ Top break out into Amy Grant!
ZZ Top are from Texas.
Billy Gibbons particularly noticed B.B. King and Z. Z. Hill and thought of combining the two into "ZZ King", but considered it too similar to the original name.
He then figured that "king is at the top" which gave him the idea of naming the band "ZZ Top"
Little brother man, you are making me smile with tears in my eyes, because I’m sharing in your joy! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! When you got up to dance…
I was an original ZZ Top fan and they were cool as sh.. then. So happy you’re finding this stuff and feelin’ it. Right there with ya.
TV Dinner, lol, ZZ has some bangers, they started out out more of a blues band. La Grange
ZZ top is legendary. If you haven't heard them before, you are in for a surprise if you dive into their catalog more.
The Grateful Dead. I heard that Billy Gibbons taught Jimi Hendrix how to play slide guitar way back in the early days in the 60s.
2 Beards and a Beard (frank Beard, the drummer)
PS: ALL the women are Penthouse Pets, Playboy Bunnies and the likes, And the cars are all Bill Gibson's.
Frank Beard is the drummer and he doesn’t have a beard. There were/are 3 members in the band and the bassist passed away a few years ago. La Grange Texas is where they’re from. Saw them in Edmonton, Alberta in the 80s and they were awesome! Check out Legs and the spinning guitars. So far all of these are from the Eliminator album. As others have said, they have more great songs - Pearl Necklace has a different connotation lol and other oldies from them. Awesome of you to show this!!!!
There greatest hits album is fire !!!!!!!!
One of them had a recurring role in "Bones" as Angela's super cool, mysterious musician dad who was "scarey".
my fave ZZ Top song! ♥
ZZ Top = superior angelic wing men!
Definitely check out their song "La Grange" the version they played on the Howard stern show.. freaking awesome
This driving, heavy guitar is a trademark of ZZ Top. The loudest group going.
ZZ Top is so amazing. I was very sad when Dusty Hill passed away. I used to listen to them when I was 15 yrs old. My older brother was 9 yrs older then me, so I was introduced to music genres. I’m soon to be 65. You need to watch their video of “Legs”. I really enjoy watching your videos. Your reactions to the older music is phenomenal. I am fairly new to your channel. Can’t wait to see more.
ZZTop legends
I absolutely loved your reaction to this! It brings me back to these times. I'm a 62 year old woman and when I'm riding down the road in my vehicle or sitting on my front porch classic rock is playing and songs like this (well) all music is ALMOST BLOWING THE SPEAKERS UP!
58 years old here and right with ya!
The grateful Dead bro don't go crazy😂
ZZ Top my childhood soundtrack lol Mom and Dad loved them so was on all the time
And of corse, ZZTop was the perfect match to the third "Back to the Future" movie. They made the music in that movie, kick ass!
Grateful Dead - deadheads. Lol
I was yelling it at the screen in octave levels I didn’t know I could reach 😂
You gotta remember MTV was brand new… so this was about artists telling stories visually for the first time. These guys jumped on the pop music stage and brought songs to life… crossing country, rock, pop, blues, etc…
****** A CLASSIC among Class Acts!
ZZ Top had a greatest hits video album. When you see it, it will blow your mind 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Classic 80's ZZ Top. I enjoy their 70's stuff that is more Texas blues. For some suggestions: "Hot, Blue and Righteous", "Heard it on the X", "Blue Jeans Blues", "Tush", :Waitin' on the BNus/Jesus Just Left Chicago". Fior their double entdre songs: "Pearl Necklace", "Tube Snake Boogie", "Sleeping Bag", "Velcro Fly".
I've loved this band since my teens! (I'm 60). This song is one of my faves! ZZ Top are Legends! Glad you're loving them!
ZZ Top are so very awesome! Love this song so much. Love your reaction! ♥
Try Pearl Necklace? Tube Snake Boogie? Might as well do the trilogy with the car and finish with Legs.
The name ZZ Top comes from rolling papers, Zig Zag and Tops
I heard it was a takeoff of BB King.
Well damn just got on here....new subscriber less nano 🔐 seconds...
I heard they also used the name to be easily discoverable in record stores as their albums would be on top alphabetically in the "Z" section. The second Z in the name basically guaranteed this. ZZ (on) Top.
Yep that is the story I heard, they are named after rolling papers.
@@maxs2982 Pretty sure Frank Zappa would have been on top. 😉
I had the pleasure of spending a bit of time with Frank Beard. He and his wife were down to earth and very nice. You’re right…no beard. What a class act!
This band just made you move... and loved them... still love their music... so awesome.
Get you some of that Tush. My fave ZZ Top. I don't know what it means but it's fun.
please do ZZ top Pearl Necklace
Yes, please do
Had all of their 45’s and they were the king of Friday Night Videos. Such an unmistakable sound.
ZZ Top is just that little Ol’ Band From Texas, a Southern rock-n-roll blues band.
One of my all time favorite songs is by ZZTop..."I got the 6( give me your 9)"
A good progression of their Rock style would be "La Grange" (1973), "Tush" (1975), "Cheap Sunglasses" (1979), then the stuff you've heard from "Eliminator" (1983). Oh and if you haven't heard "Legs", that video is obviously a must... 🤪😎
Robert Palmer sang the song addicted to love. He had a few songs I really enjoyed over the years. ZZ Top has a lot of fantastic songs. My favorite is probably rough boy.
ZZ-Top was the first concert I ever went to. I was 14. It was great! I will never forget it. I'm 54 now. 😊
Thanks! I highly recommend Waiting For The Bus/Jesus Just left Chicago (an editing error on the album left too small of a gap between songs & they've been played together ever since (Fandango albumn); Blue Jean Blues; I Thank You & so many more!!!
❤Waiting for the Bus/Jesus Just left Chicago!!
Blue Jean, blues, and pearl necklace
Frank Beard, the Drummer, doesn't have a beard, because he Is a Beard.
ZZ top blue jean blues, one of my favorite groups for the last 35yrs.
The band with the unmistakable brand.
Car & ZZ Keychain,
the bevy of "Toppers",
the loop gesture for scene transitions...
the unusual basses,
LOL! the BellyButton guitar spin
ZZ Top
La Grange
Tush
Legs
Cheap Sunglasses
Waiting For The Bus/Jesus Just left Chicago.
Addicted To Love was Robert Palmer
"Deadheads" refers to the band
" The Grateful Dead", lead by Gerry Garcia.
Saw them open for Alice Cooper in 1973 in Ann Arbor. Blown away!!!!!
All this great music from 3 people,3😮
Texas Blues Rock at its best. No question.
Always love me some. Great reaction man!
As we say in Texas; y'all be safe. EVERYBODY!!
The 34 ford "eliminator" and the cadillac "cadzzilla" both are owned by band member Billy Gibbons
I love ZZ Top!!!! In the 80s on MTV, they had the best videos!
LOVE seeing the younger generations discovering the GREAT music I grew up listening to!!! 😁❤️
Dude seriously "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide"
My band played waramup for ZZTOP in 1975! Amazing musicians! Check out Tush, and La Graange!
Favorite ZZ Top song!
The first time I saw ZZ Top on television they were only showing 3 guys. I kept looking for the rest of the band. I couldn't believe 3 people were making that much Music.
