1. Todak means sword fish. Singapore has a history with this fish. 2. Most of the seafood restaurants follow Thai style and Chinese style. So Tomyam soup is a Thai food. 3. The price goes by gram or kg for the seafood items. Don’t be surprised seeing the bill after eating😅. 4. The seafood doesn’t smell bad because they are fresh. The flesh will be whiter than the flesh of the frozen fishes. At some restaurants you get to choose live fishes, crabs and prawns. Will weigh them and then they will be killed before cooking. 5. That baby kailan (green veg ) or mixed veg are always cooked with oyster sauce (and fish sauce) which is not vegetarian. Poor guy he had trusted you all and got cheated by you all. That beehoon which was said to be vegetarian I afraid they would have used soy sauce, oyster sauce and fish sauce 😢.

Jabbar Bhai, next time please check the restaurant is halal certified,usually chinese restaurants here in Malaysia are NOT HALAL ,and local muslims wont go to there. They do serve pork and alcohol and the chickens are not slaughtered in halal way. Except very little number of Chinese Muslim restaurants. We have many Malay seafood restaurants here.I dont know why your tour guide is lack of sensitivity and bring you to NON HALAL restaurant.They should know better!!! Malaysians are more sensitive with Halal matter.
tom yam is from thailand. dry chili is known as kung pao. fried baby kailan with garlic. fried mixed vege with mushrom.

Muslims in Malaysia won't dine in Chinese restaurant unless they display 'HALAL' sign outside the restaurants. We feel not okay eating this kind of restraurant might purchase their raw materials from Chinese which the chicken is slaughtered by Chinese. Anyway, Chinese halal food always tastes awesome!

Just my opinion..
1. The restaurant should have served the food with a spoon (request one). Pity they had to use their hands.
2. A glass plate should have been used to rotate food on the table. Usually seafood restaurants will have it. To make it easier to pass the plates. (Could have requested it)
3. The tour guide should take note of this in the future.
4. If you (tour guide) are planning to bring someone to experiment with new food the people should enjoy it in a nice way.

Muslim people in Malaysia will not go to Chinese restaurant unless it's run by Chinese Muslim because of HALAL issues, what i saw from the signboard until the shop and menu...I can say that the shop is not HALAL CERTIFIED. Bhai please google the place and confirm it and please google and check first any restaurant you wanted to go. May Allah protect you.

This is chinese restaurant, cook by chinese man/woman so it not halal. Not only the cook man, they also use wine and lard oil in their cooking. The chicken is not slaughter in Islamic way. Next time pls ask for Halal certificate!!! Than only can enjoy the food. Pls take note bhai.
