Bought tears to my ears watching this, needs to be shown in schools, try and educate people from a young age. A lot of people have no thought for animals and wild life.

I like how, instead of completely villainizing one side and telling them to stop doing something entirely, you offer alternatives. It's a solution that appeals itself to both sides.
Laser light shows still harm the environment because you're blasting light at a time when there should be darkness. But it's much better than fireworks!

A few years ago, a friend of mine’s horse was so terrified, that during a nearby organised event, it tried to jump a barbed wire fence, became entangled in it and suffered an awful death.
I expect you can imaging the trauma this caused my friend at the time, and I know she has never really come to terms with it.
We are meant to be a nation of animal lovers, almost all of my friends own a cat, or dog. Many administer tranquilliser, and most resort to playing music and reassuring their pets during these events.
We all enjoy a properly organised firework show. Living close to Lewis, I enjoyed the best show in the country for many years. But surely the time has come to recognise that we could, and should, be doing better.
It’s just so awful to hear of things like this. I knew a mare that was about 9.5 months along, so fairly close but not about to give birth. Some people set off fireworks for the fourth of July, and she was so stressed that she went into labor. I just wish that animal’s lives didn’t have to be forfeit just so people can enjoy themselves.

UK is the most ecologically devastated country of Europe, an ecosystem desert, there's no wildlife, even common species that are widespread on the continent are either extinct or extremely rare on the island.
wild cat, pine marten, frogs and amphibians, beavers, bats, cranes, storks, eagles and other raptors like owls, heck even the boars, which is found in the millions in western europe countries, is practically absent of UK.
Uk is one of the most hostile countries to nature conservation, in Europe. There's a big anti-nature ideology, even worse than in France.
wolf, lynx, brown bear, boar, moose, wisent, pelican, many many birds species from stork to cappercaillie and great bustard, many amphibians and fishes, like eels, sturgeons, burdot, salmons, moor frog, pond frog, european tree frog.
Are all extinct or only recently reintroduced and still extremely rare.
Animals aren’t the only ones! Veterans and autistic people too!

Thank you for this. As a zoologist I've been reminding people that this happens, but people want to see fireworks more than they care about the lives of all these animals.

We get it. We should consider the wild life. but if they get in the way, it’s just how it is. Animals are just animals, and we humans have authority over them.

I’m an American, and while I love Fourth of July fireworks, I can’t help but imagine what they’re doing to wildlife. I’ve seen stories of birds falling by the thousands because of fireworks and the stress caused by them. But whenever I try to suggest we don’t do fireworks for July 4th, everyone thinks I’m not patriotic enough, that I hate my country or something :(
If you live around people with animals that get scared easily just give them a heads up and the animals that die from stress in the wild can feed the predators and the ecosystem around it saving a lot of animals form pain
@@NoRedRaptors_questionmark_ the issue is that those animals suffered a horrible death which could have been avoided, it's not saving more animals from pain either, its causing it. Predators can hunt for their own prey and are probably scared of the fireworks as well.
@@NoRedRaptors_questionmark_ generally speaking, a lot of predators won't just eat random dead animals unless they're desperate. scavengers are a little different, but most predators tend to avoid things they didn't kill because they know it can make them sick. there's a reason some animals fake their deaths in the face of predators: predators (usually) prefer not to eat something if they don't know why it died

The quiet backdrop of the heart beat has always moved me in all medias I’ve seen implemented. It really causes you to feel suffocated and out of breath

This animation is absolutely beautiful and will hopefully get the message across to people about the devastating effects of fireworks and bonfires. Its so sad how our wildlife and pets are subjected to these horrible things :(
I really wish the government would make loud fireworks illegal as it’s the noise that terrifies not only wildlife, but horses, cats and dogs who are part of our families. Sadly, I for one, dread it every year now as have cats, my sister has dogs and other friends have horses but it saddens me in general for all animals. This video is a great way of reminding people just how devastating it can be for wildlife and animals in general, will be sharing to Facebook, Thanks to the creator for making it 👏👏👏
Not to mention how bloody annoying they are. I’m trying to sleep and all I hear is loud bangs at 11:00pm at night. Not to mention they frequently cause fires. Fireworks were invented for use in warfare not fancy light shows

As someone with a fesr of loud noises I speak on behalf of the fear in the animals, its awful. Every time theres an event with the possibility of fireworks im high alert. Ive bawled for awhile over fireworks and other loud nosies. Im afraid they will land close by and burn me and im scared of the very loud bang. I wish more people used quiet fireworks or even better lazer shows
My dad only get 2 or 3 smaller fireworks and nothing too crazy. My dad would wet the grass and trees around us a bit so they wouldn't get accidentally engulfed in flames if hit by any remaining pieces of fireworks that fall. He always made sure to do it away from the trees and always made sure they were quieter fireworks because we wouldn't want to scare the animals or annoy the neighbours.
I had a dog that was scared of loud noises too. He was neglected and left outside by his previous owners in any weather conditions including tornados. They didn't care for him so when he ran away looking for help he found me. When it stormed outside he'd hide under a table inside our house while I sat with him for hours. On 4th of July where people set off fireworks I would sit with him and tell them it's ok because he's inside where he can't get hurt by fireworks.
I got him in 2014 and he died in 2019 due to old age but he never had to see another firework or anything that he was afraid of.
Now my dad doesn't buy fireworks because we have outdoor cats that would be scared of them.
I know I am late for the party but... In my country, the firecrackers are banned strictly by the government and fireworks are only allowed to be used for a few hours before and after midnight during new year celebrations, then everyone is legally expected to hand in the unused fireworks to shops.
Despite this... people dont care. There is still a heavy firecracker usage all month, even during January and fireworks are used for days before and after new years. Because who is going to stop them? The police? They dont have time to go into every street in every city to check who is using them. Plus most of the officers dont see an issue in their usage either. So even if you report your neighbor for letting up fireworks or is using firecrackers... Yeah, good luck with that.
I mean, it is noble to want their ban but it just doesnt work until the people themselves are educated enough. Or until the police gets heavily involved as they are supposed to but refuse to. It just isnt a big deal for the majority and they will not change, no matter how much you want them to.

Living in Brent fireworks are a nightmare from End October to Mid January. Seems it’s any excuse to bring out the fireworks. Dwalli, Guy Falkes, Christmas, New Year & any Birthday or Anniversary celebration.

I love how instead of making unrealistic expectations and demanding stuff like “well just don’t celebrate it” they actually give genuinely good realistic ideas of how to enjoy our holidays while ensuring the animals do as well.
Fantastic work with this, not only are you raising awareness about these threats to our wildlife, you are also bringing up solutions to help spare them from distress and/or suffering. ❤

I can’t imagine anyone’s pet going through that…I don’t blame animals for being afraid of fireworks. I too think they’re loud and overwhelming, and they don’t even understand what’s going on.
I can’t even imagine the world without the things that make life beautiful, the things that keep the world going….people need to learn to cherish nature and all the life it contains because one day it could all be gone at the hands of humans…

i'm in the US but as a child I had a pet hedgehog, she was a sweetie and this right here made me cry
I have always, do and will always just love the little lives that live alongside us. Some adorable little birdie friends, tiny scuffling mammals going about their little ventures. Always so precious
the suggestion for the bonfire make a good amount of sense, but couldn't we have fireworks that go considerably higher added to the list?
Pollution and green house gas still adds up, and what about birds in the sky? More trees can be caught in the flame?

I really appreciate this, your whole channel even. As a passionate animal lover it’s really hard seeing humans ignore wildlife again and again for our own enjoyment. Plus, not only did you show the problem with a breathtaking animation, but solutions were provided too. Really good solutions, if I may add, that let us have our fun and let the animals be safe

I like the whole idea and celebrating something without calming others there’s another example that I heard from a family member the family member said that she learned about it when she was in School.
The thing she learnt was bubbles were better for celebration because they didn’t harm the environment as much as balloons did.
My cat is terrified of fireworks, at this time of year she spends the evenings cowering under my chair. Why do people have to buy such loud fireworks, the sooner they're banned for personal use the better. If you want them go to an organised display.

This really hurt my soul, we really need to stop these illegal hunts and start protecting the wild! It is not okay to hunt endangered animals for fun, I know fire works are fun and all and I’m not saying we should stop them but all we need to do is make sure we use them properly and make sure they won’t hurt anyone or anything! My dog is scared of fireworks as she doesn’t like loud noises at all so fireworks bother her a lot and I am like her, I don’t like the fireworks either as they hurt my ears as well.😢❤❤
While fireworks are nice to watch for some people, it is very important to remember those that don’t enjoy them as much, for example:
* Wildlife, including those who are already threatened, for whom this country was their original home. I will also remind you that humans were not originally native to the UK and originated from Africa, but , for many of our native species, this is their original home.
* Farmed animals who already endure abuse, exploitation, shooting and slaughter.
* Companion animals and other working animals, including dogs (our best friends), cats, small animals, horses, ponies, donkeys, llamas, alpacas, companion pigs, chickens, etc.
* People with special needs such as Autism. I am Autistic and I have sensory issues with very loud noises and was scared of fireworks and sparklers as a kid, although I did use sparklers and like watching fireworks with my family.
* People with phobias and trauma relating to fireworks and loud noises.
* Particularly children with special needs and certain mental health issues.
* Current/ex-military people and others with PTSD that could be triggered by fireworks.
Whoever wmakes these videos, give them a raise!

This should be shown on TV to highlight especially to idiots that have already been letting off fireworks and they should BE BANNED UNLESS FOR ORGANISED EVENTS. The damage it does to our fur babies 🐶😻🐎 with the stress and anxiety that, they have to suffer whenever you can buy fireworks 😡😡😡. I don't enjoy this day. Not only midnight, but few days before and after. When I was taking horses to stable, our moronic neighbour fired illegal class firework. It was so earsplitting I couldnt hear anything for short period of time. Can't imagine how earsplitting it was for sensitive animal hearing. Both horses were spooked and had problem to catch them. I was terrified they would be entangled or fall somewhere. Terrible night.
I too like that they raised awareness and found a much better alternative. The sounds are not good for aninals and even for some people. I had a great uncle that fought in the Vietnam war and he hated 4 of July cause the fireworks caused him to have traumatic fkashbacks.

Sadly people do this every where now, regardless of the celebration of a holiday. They just do it whenever and it's quite sickening and not much fun anymore. This even pains me more not knowing this that the poor babies in the wild suffer through this. :c People need to remember life is around us and we can cause harm and worse kill innocent craetures around us. Heck I am surprised we haven't done that to ourselves already. I feel like switching to something else instead of fireworks all the time would be better.Also I didnt know there was silent fireworks, people need to buy more of that.

I remember one night leaving work I found a crow that was so shocked it couldn’t move. The next morning it was dead. The fireworks gave the poor baby a heart attack

In my area there are guards and fencing so no animal will go in and they make sure to get the birds away so they Arndt as scared
the issue is if you're using high-powered lasers you are basically using anti-drone technology on birds

I didn’t realise the impact fireworks day had on the wildlife, guess it make sense and I bet it doesn’t help when the parks are packed with people and rides making loud noises. I admit, I enjoy these events but if there are way of alternatives whilst still enjoying the events, I’m up for it.

I hate fireworks. I work on an animal rescue ,,farm" and on new year there have to be so many volunteers just to get the poor animals to calm down. And even just my cats at home are always so scared and can't hide anywhere where the sound goes away. And most anumals can hear even better than us too, so it's way louder + they of course don't know what the sound is or what causes it so it scares them so much.

I have a special place in my heart for hedgehogs. I have a hedgehog and I would hate if this is what would happen to her if she lived in the wild
I never really liked bonfires. They were too noisy for my liking, i can't imagine how incredibly stressful it must feel for the animals. My dog is terrified of the fireworks and thunderstorms. I wish that bonfires would just cease to exist, do that shit on christmas only not more than once.
I've always hated fireworks. My idiot neighbor would shoot off fireworks, and me and my family were the ones comforting his terrified goats and pigs.

They do have a voice, its just they can't really talk unless they can mimic us or learn with long term time of teaching
so glad laser shows and drone shows are on the rise, hopefully they'll replace fireworks one day

To celebrate the downfall of Guy Fawkes (think he was just a patsy anyway?) really is a silly reason to set off fireworks! I'm really sad as I loved this day when I was a kid and the louder the fireworks the better (remember ripraps?) BUT, and it's a big BUT, now I'm older and wiser, it would also be a VERY SELFISH thing to do now we know better. Most people nowadays have pets which also are absolutely terrified and not only on this one day as they seem to be setting them off all the time! IT'S ABOUT TIME THAT FIREWORKS WERE BANNED (we are also left with plastic empty shells littering the streets - they used to be cardboard that disintegrated over time!). PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF OUR PLANET AND NATURE - FIND ANOTHER WAY TO CELEBRATE (cake and a sparkler sound good?)

Why are none of these animations not in high schools, colleges, elementary schools, ANYTHING?! These need a place in the public's main aim of view, right in the middle of their foreheads. Keep up the good work, Lads and Lassies.
Every New Years Eve and 4th of July (I'm American) I have to stay inside and comfort my pets because so many of out neighbors set off the flying fireworks (despite them technically being illegal for recreation in my area, all it takes to avoid that is to sign a form that says you're using them to scare animals off your property). I see no reason why we have to use huge exploding fireworks instead of safer and quieter alternatives like fountains, especially in small neighborhoods.

I have A fix for the firework too What will I do Is in a field far away from trees with birds Possibly roosting in them and to check if any wildlife Is near The launch site of the fireworks I go around checking to establish a human Present to spook away the animals.
