Excellent review! 2024 Elantra SE is cheaper than the 2024 Corolla LE and yet the base Elantra has more features like blind spot monitoring, nicer looking wheels etc. Elantra really is the value leader!
Yes indeed for an SE model the Hyundai Elantra offers lots for the money! Warranty is BEST in the business! The 2.0 Liter 4 Cylinder Naturally Aspirated engine being a dual overhead cam is both dependable & solid! Meaning that the engine should have a long life!
This shows Hyundai's brilliance in the product design team, they understand the view of someone who prefers comfortability, space, necessary safety features and not all new technology like sensor or premium quality (leather, extra light, led), also on a budget. I am from a 3rd world country where the average income in my city is around $450 a month and I just need a car that superior in the practical aspects but not way too expensive on luxury features (a Vios or City is more equippes with options than this one but never reach this level of spaciousness) while costing around same price range. Also, this model probly need 1 or 2 years til they start manifacturing or importing it back to my country so, i am trying my best to save up for this. To many people, this is an alright car but with my needs and conditions, this is my goal of a dream car. Ty for an indepth review 🎉
There no reason we’re still using keys in 2024 but that’s one of the ways they get you to upgrade the trim the SEL lol but overall I still love the car
I got mine in October the only thing i hate it that its to low got to take bumps and ramps slow but other than it its all god, the gas mileage is great could use cooler rims but its a pretty solid car
I would actually consider this car in this trim. What else does one need ? It’s very attractive and though the interior has a lot of hard plastic it is good looking and looks like it would hold well. Good review
I personally don’t mind the plastic but if you don’t want it, I guess you can pay a bit more for the SEL trim, which is comparable to the Se or Xle corolla
My sentiments completely as this 2024 Hyundai Elantra SE has many amenities & features indeed. The price is relatively low at $22,800 considering both inflated prices & today's economy! I am not sure about the future of EVs? Perhaps Hybrids should continue?
Thanks for your review on this 2024 Hyundai Elantra SE as I know the 2.0 liter 4 Cylinder Naturally Aspirated Atkinson Engine under the hood is a very dependable motor! I am starting to become somewhat interested in this vehicle indeed. Thank you...
Cross traffic now offered - very good. I am so glad to have it on my '21 Preferred model. Push button now, also excellent - again another reason to get the middle in the old days. My middle model - I get the base controls, BUT they gave it the leather heated wheel instead.
@@rexonpadre864 I do not have a lot of clicks on it yet, under 30,000k but its been rattle free and runs like new still. The factory tires (middle of Canada) they looked terrific but I never cared for them - swapped them out at the 15 months for Bridgestone all-weather which boosted the rating a level (stiffer sidewall) which was a nice tweak, and the mileage penalty was very small .. about 5.3L/100k in suburban city and around 7.3L is winter in normal mode and I tend to drive in an economical optimizing way - hence rarely use the sport (I think most DO use it). Every 6 months synthetic oil, and once a year they put a new cabin filter (I think pure upsell) and injector cleaner. The air cleaner in the engine was done.
in Canada, I have not seen any base trims in a couple years - they call the middle model "the base" now. In July my dealer still had zero Elantra's for sale, a couple presold and that was it. They said they only can order 4 or 5 every 6 months or something - they have way more Genesis BUT they said they are pre-solds - I even saw 2 electric ones in the showroom. Originally that base trim offered a 5 speed for like $1500 LESS (and they added a couple features to it) - but the base seemed to largely vanish when the 5-speed was no longer offered on it.
I saw an elantra se 2024 today while looking for a new car and noticed the gauge cluster is just a normal speedometer compared to this screen. is this a convenience package or are there just 2 versions.
Base trim in Canada does not have all these features. Have to upgrade to the next level here called the Preferred to get rear cross traffic or blind spot monitoring for example. They put some features on the base trim here called the Essential like forward collision, lane keep assist, cruise control. I don't get why all of them aren't on it up here as it's the rear cross traffic that I really want. Guess that's why Huyndai does it, to price gouge me into the next trim. F**kers. Seems Americans have more sway then we do here in Canada. They know better than to mess with you guys.
We get heated seats too! I just bought the essential, I got a great deal. I do wish I had the blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic, but everything else has been great :)
@@alannashawits fine you dis not get those with blindspot monitor, small bumps and that sensor will go off. Too sensitive. Watch The Car Care Nut channel. He discussed this in one of his videos
The push to starts are being stolen. In Canada the key comes with an Immobilizer. It's the law which is why cops here actually advise us to stick with a key over the push to start.
I have 2023 elantra but I have so much problem with my car. I took it home January 2023 2 weeks later I have problem with my rear shocks after a months the paint was bubbly and after a months the engine oil light. This Hyundai cars are not reliable and trustworthy. I strongly regret to have elantra cars planning to trade it in. Will never recommend this dealership to any of my friends or even to my enemies.
someone inside hate Hyundai as hell. I have checked Elantra, Sonata, Tucson and Santa Fe 2024. OMG, HOW UGLY ARE THEM. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE? --- WHY THEY ALLOW THESE UGLY DESIGN COME OUT? WHAT HAPPENED?

Anti car thief they now have immobilizer
Elantra is much better pick than Corolla.
Better Value, Spacious, Usability and just as reliable.

I can relate to that as I have a low chassis to the road car as well!
How is the reliability so far? Any issues encountered?

@@GlennLaycock thanks got the2024 base model
@@rexonpadre864 Oh that is a terrific choice. I think you get the digital gauges and not the pretend analog ones right?
@@GlennLaycock yes
Yes more now on "base" than in past years, not long ago, but look at massive price increase of base 2019 to now.
Inflation & the auto industry is somewhat unstable due to the current Administration!
Lower part of the grille seems fragile. If you could comment à bit more about it I would really appreciate.

I got one. Base model (Elantra Essential) Black Abyss color.
The SE model does in fact has sensors in the front.
Great review. For the 2024 model year, Hyundai removed the moving and deeper cupholders for the Elantra.
What do you think is the better vehicle this or the forte LXS?

That is a very good question indeed as I like the digital display here on this SE! We need to research this for sure!
Amazing review to the Elantra❤ btw! how many speakers this basic Elantra have?
For 2024 its now 6 speakers before it was 4 for the base model

any upgrade from 2023 elantra? or just same with different exterior
Everything mostly the same

What colour is this
Ecotronic grey

There is no much difference in price compared with a Corolla i rather the Corolla that has more quality durability and more reliable.
