First rule of gaining your health again is don't believe in nearly anything what the doctors say. Thank you for all this great information. I have been concerned for years about indications I’ve had that point to low thyroid. Thinning hair, shortened eyebrows, icy hands and feet, deep ridges on my finger nails and the nail pulling away from the nail bed on my big toe. Several doctors over the years have done the thyroid test and always tell me it’s still just within the normal range not to worry. Most recently my go told me the nail ridges are just a part of ageing and a foot doctor said don’t worry about the nail on my toe...it will grow out ok after awhile....it’s been l 1/2 years. Taking vitamin supplements have reduced the ridges quite a lot ...after a year. I’m going to send for the home test kit. I just have too many of the symptoms you mentioned to not have a source that specializes in that test and results. I might also mention my mother had 3/4 of her thyroid removed in her late 50s. / I’ve been taking most of the vitamins you suggest .....and recently quit taking the statin drugs and enjoy a grapefruit a day and lemon water as a refreshment. I feel better and monitor my b/p all thru the day and it’s lower now than when I was taking those meds they kept increasing with all their crazy side effects. Linda Linda

I had several issues for over a year now, and doctor didnt find anything to worry about. 4 weeks ago my bloodpressure piked and bloodtest had TSH within normal range. I felt miserable and took many supplements intuitively (and they happened to be many of those mentioned: Vit D3K2, Vit C, Zinc, Selenium trace minerals and they all made me feel better). Now last week I took a bloodtest again from an independent without doctor prescription blood analyst. I was convinced it was B12 deficiency because the symptoms are more of that (fatique, swollen tongue, tingling limbs, lack of appetite, high heart rate, insane sweating etc. But I never felt out of energy or short of breath, I have bad condition however. I dont retain water or feel puffy, instead I am thirsty all the time. You see I have symptoms of both hypo and hyperthyroid which is confusing. So yesterday bloodtest results came back and my TSH was slightly elevated but not critical that they forwarded me for further treatment, they suggested me to test a bit further. I had perfect B12 and a slight low level of D3 (not deficient). This shocked me somewhat. I personally dont think it is the thyroid itself, I now added tests for free T3 and T4 and for reversed T3 to confirm or rule it out I have issues with thyroid. I had a year full of stress and my bowels were nowhere near functioning when I took bloodtest for my feeling its like my body has been messed up for a while and is resetting. So I continue with the vitamins and minerals and have my TSH tested again in 1 or 2 months to see what has changed. I feel better every day, same as last year, the symptoms last for about 2-3 months and vanish and come back at some point months later. I am very happy with the ability to test your blood without needing prescription. Just order online whichever test you want and no one asks questions. Only thing I recommend people is to not choose those that ask you to take few drops of your blood yourself but go to a center where they take vials of your blood like the doctor would only now the lab gives you the prescription. Its way more reliable than just a few drops that have also been in contact with oxygen. But I do understand for some its just a step too high to do it this way because they are scared. I also dont like to visit doctors or places but now I had to. It helps that I am ideal patient to take blood from, very easy to find veins and I feel absolutely nothing.

NB. I would also add or indeed prefer hair analysis. (Blood tests measure the blood at the time the blood is taken...hair analysis measures the blood plus whats in the tissues for some weeks/months before, dependent on the lab) check them out...they vary to country and upto date info.

Very thorough & informative! However, in section 3 it is mentioned to include cruciferous veggies that, from my understanding, are goitrogens and should be avoided (or minimized) because they cause harm to the thyroid gland by blocking the absorption of much needed iodine. Yes getting gluten and grains out of my diet made a difference. Also getting rid of floride in the water.
Went gluten free at 48, but did not switch to a full human diet until I read Good Calories, Bad Calories at age 52. Also watched The Oiling of America. The big symptoms of my gluten intolerance started at least by age 5.
Chronic constipation. Arthritis in my knees. White pimples on my arms. Hard skin on my knees, elbows, bloating, pain, etc. When age 9 started 3 week heavy periods. Would wake up soaked with blood.
I also tried the vegan death diet in my late 20s, which took my morning body temperature from normal to 94. Issues became worse, along with weight gain. I was taking kelp, selenium, etc, but did not realize my diet was a major problem. I went from the vegan death diet to the semi vegan food pyramid. Always avoid sugar.
It took 10 years for my morning body temperature to return to normal. I have eyebrows again and my forehead is thankfully getting shorter instead of longer.
Others might not take as long to heal, but I had decades of eating a diet designed for fattening livestock.

Thanks so much for this very informative video. It speaks directly to me
I currently have a thyroid but it has a nodule on it and was under active. I was taken off thyroid meds by a endocrinologist ten years ago after being on them for 20 years (my thyroid issues started one year after I gave birth to my only child..when I was 22 yrs old..I'm 68 now) for an under active thyroid with a benign nodule) and told my thyroid was not under active and is able to produce the hormones. I haven't gone back to get it checked since then but will be going soon. I was getting some heart palpitations almost every evening six months ago.. and began doing some research on taking Magnesium for my high bp issue. I started taking magnesium glycinate once a day (500mg) and all palpitations stopped now for over six monts. I'm 68 and on only one med (a beta blocker for stress related high bp) taking it now for three yrs but am planning to see a holistic dr and hopefully get weaned off of it. I want be med free and treat my issues with quality foods and supplements...whenever possible. I'm taking Ryan's advice on food choices and this video was an eye opener for me. ❤️👏🏽

I reversed my hypo by taking 5 drops of Lugol's solution iodine in my herbal tea. You can't take it directly in your mouth since it would burn your mucous membrane. Lugol solution is for internal as well as external use. Povidon is ONLY for external use.
I eat very little seafood because the seas are poluted with heavy metals, micro plastics and now even radiation from Fukushima.
I must have been in my 20s when i first started having hupothyroidism. It creeps up very slowly and one doesn't even notice it. By the time it becomes obvious, it's already full blown.
My blood tests were always normal, even though i had the symptoms. It turns out 30% of patients who have hypo have normal blood tests and science doesn't know why it is so. I was on 100mcg of Euthyrox for 4 years and once i started taking Lugol solution i gradually reduced my daily dose with doctors supervision down to nothing. I am 70 now.

I found your problem with the thyroid very interesting as I had similar problems at 22. I am now 94 & take synthroid. At 22 I was given iodine which I took for about 13 years. I also had a nodule removed when I was 26 yrs old. I know I cannot live without iodine or synthroid. I have been very fortunate as I have had 6 pregnancies with out a problem & am never sick.. still going strong.

@Belinda Marie .. I'm having similar issues. Was hypo after second child at 40 years old. Had to take progesterone to keep him. Didn't lose a single hair the whole pregnancy. Immediately after birth...I was losing it like crazy. I turned hypo. I'd gone to quick weight loss, prior to getting pregnant. I loss 68 lbs in 21/2 months. It's hi protein. I was not happy after weight loss. Pregnancy was one from hell. I was high risk, no lifting. Watching blood pressure. When he was three, I almost had three strokes. Developed tachycardia. Then Drs refused to give me meds to control it. I had to take blood pressure pills. He's soon to be 33 years old. Well, couple years ago hit AFib meds for that. Just did the ablation. Waiting to do the watchman. My TSH couple years ago, suddenly looked like I wasn't taking any meds. It was so high. I found a good endocrinologist and had tests done. I have a nodule on my thyroid as well. I did have cancer, breast as well. For a good long spell, like 15 years maybe I was on same dosage. Then suddenly hair fell out, plus had double pneumonia. So I thought it was from being sick. My TSH is just barely in range. Total T3, is low serum Protein electrophoresis is barely in range. But D3 is on the low end. The electrophoresis tells about Graves Disease. I had my gallbladder out 7 years ago. That could be a contributing factor. I bought Brazil nuts cause they lower triglycerides as well. Triglycerides are high an indication of heart disease. Of some kind. Bought mine from Amazon. Some of these things I was doing. Ox bile salts, can give you the oh no get out of my way. Runs to bathroom. If you take too much. Well I've not been taking them. I'm not supposed to eat fried foods much at all. No gallbladder. Plus it's hard finding vitamin C with bioflavonoids , and acerola. Since I'm retired, I eat when I get hungry. I'm seeing my Dr next week. He seems pretty through. He's the first one to tell me NOT to take the medication that morning. Just take it after blood tests. I'm 73 , we seen to have a lot in common. Thought I'd reply to you. Good luck
